Being Spanish one of the most spoken languages in the world, and the second largest native language spoken in the world (don’t quote me), that just around 10 Spanish albums made the 1001 list, seemed very off. Having Soda Stereo, Los Fabulosos Cadillacs, Caifanes, Cerati, Héroes del Silencio among others it was really sad to not found any of them in the list. So, that is why this one is a refresher. I grew up listening to this guys, and this is an amazing and incredible album from start to end!

One of the greatest albums of all times of the latin rock in Spanish and that should have been included in the original list. It simply doesn’t make sense with so many people having Spanish as their native language that just a couple of albums in Spanish were included in the list. I grew up listening to this album, and it is just entirely amazing. A lot of genres with the particular style of Cafe Tacvba, one of the greatest Mexican rock bands, one of the longest-running bands in the planet with their original lineup, having collaborations with David Byrne, Incubus and Beck. It was the only Mexican band that I can remember that did a tour to celebrate the 25th anniversary of one their albums, and it was for Re because it was a big deal for the Mexican rock music and still is.

I think Version 2.0 is much better than their first album, in my opinion both should have been included in the 1001 list. One of my favorite albums of all time.

In my opinion, any album less than 10 years old shouldn’t be included in any Best albums lists. Not that the album is bad, it’s just that is still a baby album, has a lot to do to gain its place in the musical world

“certified six times platinum by the RIAA and peaked at number three on the Billboard 200.” … I don’t know guys, I guess that statement should give an album a shot to be heard before died. Not saying that is a very very good album (which I think so) just because of that, but come on, this album did make an impact in musical culture based on those numbers; not being listed even once in any edition of the books it is just non sense, do we really need a less-than-3-years-old album in the list instead of Kick by INXS? I don’t think so. Make some room Dimery!!!

Wow! What a good recommendation! I have never heard about Hum, so this was a very good surprise. Also, if one of your music videos was featured in Beavis and Butthead, I will give you extra credits for that.

I still don’t think that an album only 2 years old should be part in any Best Albums list; it is a baby album. It hasn’t achieved enough compared to others. It hasn’t created a meaningful impact in music yet.
