I often fall on the Alan Partridge trap of listening to ‘The Best of The Beatles’ and inevitably miss out on rediscovering songs that would be the pinnacle of most bands’ careers. Revolver is full of these, in particular Tomorrow Never Knows, Taxman, I’m Only Sleeping, and Got to Get You Into My Life. 5 stars in spite of Yellow Submarine.
Really enjoyed this. Feel like there are more depths to be discovered on what was a nice and easy listen in first pass.

Alison and Watching the Detectives stand out as absolutely classics, but there are some great lesser known tracks on here - Welcome to the Working Week for example.
Come for the Good Times, stay for a bit for the other tracks that are nice background music but aren’t particularly groundbreaking.
Amazing voice. Real mix of Sykes in the songs as well.
Really enjoying my first real journeys into the classic reggae albums.
Didn’t expect to be a fan. But in spite of it being exactly what I thought it would be, I enjoyed it. Couple of killer tracks, and some decent metal filler.
Rockier than I expected, like a Gallic Zappa.
My new go-to 60s vibe album. Glorious.
Not listened to this in years. Still as haunting, melancholy, and beautiful as it ever was.
Brilliant side A. Side B tails off a little after Our House. Tomorrow’s (Just Another Day) possibly their most underrated single.
Run to the Hills is a legit banger. The rest is decent enough.
Can totally see why this is a classic. Feel a need a few more listens to truly appreciate it, but I’ve a feeling it will really grow on me.
First time since starting this that I have listened to an album, and then immediately listened to another by the same act. Loved this.
Strange to think that this was considered anti-commercial at the time. I missed out on Nirvana for some reason - maybe a year or two too young, or my rural Devon upbringing, or possibly that by the time I encountered them they were incredibly mainstream already and I was a snob about them. Shame, as this is a really great album.
Some absolutely killer tracks in here, including a few I don’t remember hearing before. It is too long though, and the filler tracks aren’t great. Just about holding it together for 4 stars.
Sounds like the incidental music to a 70s cop show. Not offensive, but I just don’t see myself listening to something like the Kojack Official Soundtrack.
Really enjoyed this. More varied and complex than I imagined.
Loved this. Amazing voice, and a fascinating sound.
Great voice. Interesting lyrics. Music didn’t do it for me.
Maybe hearing these songs after a few drinks and in a New Orleans bar would leave me feeling more satisfied - sadly I’m not there.
