Destiny's ChildI love this album. So glad that Beyoncé was in a girl group. Independent women Is an absolute bop.

I do not like 80s rock
At first I was going to say something along the lines of.. wow got my daily dose of testosterone today🤪 and while I still kinda feel like that.. some of the lyrics aren’t what I would call typically masculine. “living room/ passing time/talking trash/drinking wine/ I need something more substantial!” Slaaayyy. I love the lyrics to legs. I feel like I’m at Gretna Fest. Overall not my vibe. Don’t really know enough about 80s music to make any kind of educated points ab this album but yea wouldn’t listen again:/
I can see how you would love this album. I like it, but I think it’s a very Nicko album. His cover of Lilac wine made me melt 🤤. Hallelujah.. I had a phase in HS where I would ONLY listen to hallelujah.. actually Elena and I would listen to it together in my car and scream. Lover, you should’ve come over was very powerful. Loved the build up. Overall a very emotional album! It feels like each song really seeks to tell a story through clear progression. Also it kind of feels like you’re at an intimate venue listening to Jeff Buckley just absolutely pour his heart out to you. Loved it! Great! Yeehaw! I’m gonna go listen to Hallelujah on repeat for the rest of the day now
obviously great album. I wanted to groove, bang, and drive in my car with all the windows down all at the same time (jk hahah). good vibes with this one. Classic bops. Would be a great RECORD to have just to always play when doing .. life stuff in the apartment ya kno? Just thinking 🤔 It’s wild that she didn’t make another studio album after this one, but this one feels like a perfectly packaged gift. Ok!!
Listening to this album I was like.. oh ok yea this is an ALBUM this is a STORY.. well yea looked it up after and checks out hahah. Would be interested to see the film? play? Idk what it is but the visual component of the album. Overall not my vibe but I can appreciate it for what it is! I see why people go coco bananas for it! Why is rock such a big deal? That’s a serious question I have
The album cover is really hot Enjoyed it! Head over heels and under attack were fun. I want to look into the socio-political context that everyone keeps talking about! nothing really nuanced to say- this album is less disco pop fun dance music than other ABBA albums. It seems more “mature” but stays true to the ABBA style of harmonization and such. I think I was listening to it when my vyvanse kicked in so now I have to listen to it for the rest of the day. I’ve listened to it 2.5 times already. Ha ha hahahaha hahaha
So wildly impressive. Every song was a bop and a half- with a surprising amount of variety for such a lengthy album, the songs felt cohesive but distinct. Favs? Summer soft, ordinary pain, another star and ebony eyes. I could listen to this album again and again and again. How did he make so many songs. How was this his 18th album and such a banger. I love this man. Big big big fan. It’s a tough one, but so far Jeff Buckley’s Grace is in 3rd, Miseducation of Lauryn Hill is in 2nd and Songs in the Key of Life is the best album so far.
this really appealed to my thoughtless brain. I’m not sure what makes this album revolutionary or historic, but I’m vibing. I liked sparks. Won’t go out of my way to listen again but it was a pleasure to be introduced to Röyksopp today :)
I listened to this album on my run. I like it but didn’t love it but I’m also not really in a vibe MOOD. Listening to it again in the car on the way home from Biloxi I was like ok yea I see how influential it is and it’s cool and ethereal and dreamy soo I like it more now
I loved the first couple of songs. The first song reminded me of Bridget Bardot/ Francoise hardy and I was LIT for the album. The words that maketh murder is where that all changed for me… but then I came back to during huh it didn’t save. I came back during bitter branches bc woman screaming
Ahhhh it has this song on it! Karen O seems like such a versatile artist.. the whole Where the Wild Things are album.. HEADS WILL ROLL? and also maps?? Who is the real Karen O🤔 I liked the album! It was a bit grungey for my taste but I loved modern romance and poor song. Overall yeah, yeah, yeah I’m a fan! Hahahah. No but really i actually really liked the album and will listen again.
I liked Neón lights and the model and idk it was funky I kinda liked it I guess
Loved! whimsical! High energy! Theatrical! Oh you pretty things was a fav! Was bopping my head and feeling fun
I really liked Vampire Blues!! I liked the album a ton! Would listen to again:) thanks Neil Young!
I like dire straits 😄 I imagine myself on a boat whilst I listen to him
Hmmmnnn
ok we’re back! sick album cover I wanted smack my bitch up to give me more. With such a provocative name it was pretty tame. People fucking love this album. The whole album gave me similar vibes to the pirating warning that played before DVDs and VHS tapes.. the like YoU WOUldnT sTeaL a CAr?! wHY stEAl dVD?! ones ya know? Ummm after reading about it I can appreciate its status as a force in the rave movement. It’s more zombie race music than I would like but happy that there are beats for plur babies to dance to
I love this album. So glad that Beyoncé was in a girl group. Independent women Is an absolute bop.
I am obsessed with this album hahaha. It has the drama of a musical. Very theatrical lyrics and ensemble. Rather than singing along with the composed music, it’s very clear that the music is there to emphasize and compliment his voice. and his vocals are so strong. Fun!! Slay Scott The girls and the dogs was my fav
I did not like this experience hahah. This was not my vibe for the work day. I’m sure his wit and banter would be fantastic and so great in person at a small bar when you’re a lil tipsy….buuuuttt yea not for me rn. I really don’t like the intro and song format. I’m also ngl i didn’t finish this and have no intention to sorry
It was a lot of fun. Saved a lot of songs from the album and was vibing
Wasn’t my vibe
I loved this so much. Put me in the best mood for the restart of work. Felt like a lil Rosie the riveter with her solider slay
I was vibbing
It’s really giving festival band (esp 7 days too long, which was also my favorite song on the album hahah). Ummm it’s like charli xcx but for the 80s. Like it gets me pumped it makes me want to dance. Will we ever hear disco on 1001 albums? I liked the album a lot
It was ok
So theatrical! I can see a world where I really love it, but it’s not this world and I can’t quite place why.
I love
I liked
I liked
I attribute my good mood yesterfsy ti this album. I love it so much I listened to it all day
Obviously it’s the whole point give that the title of the album is “songs of love and hate”, but it’s just too emo for me hahah. It feels dark, damp and depressing. It feels cynical and masculine and the opposite of nuanced and idk. Sorry, Leonard
Was fun!!
I do not like 80s rock
Bops bops and more bops
I really liked the beginning but it seemed to unravel by the end. In a kind of funny way HAHHA
Not for me
Felt like a fever dream
I liked but not as much as other Stevie wonder
No
It was crazy
I like her
It’s been a talking heads couple of days! I didn’t realize how not mainstream popular they were.. like they reached top 100 but not very high. I really like the talking heads. Not in a way that makes me want to listen to them with any regularity, but in a reverent and entertained way. It’s good stuff haha
I love the temptations and I love this album cover and I’d like to get one of their albums for our record player but yeah big slay loved
Ok so I really like their look hahaha They’re cool they’re fun I would dance to them… Alabama song (whisky bar) is kind of a crazy song.
Ok
This just wasn’t my vibe ! Sawwy
Yeah I love ‘em!
This sounded like a Halloween album. My distaste for Leonard Cohen grows.
Nah nah nah nahhhh
Not my vibe!
Legalize it
Kind of slay! I liked moving - the end song was also a wild way to end an album.
My fav album yet
Reminds me of bubs
I hate beck and why is this album so long!! I had to fast forward and I’m not sorry about it
I’m really confused ab how I feel
Not it for me
