Brothers In Arms
Dire StraitsSaving grace of this one was the instrumentals other than that the lyrics were terrible and dated. And the album went on for way too long.

Not bad, some good classic songs on here but didn't really grab me. A good listen nonetheless and glad I did.
Some good songs on this one but never really anything that captured my attention or made me listen more intently. Might be a preconceived notion, but was expecting the energy and sound of The Rolling Stones from their big hits. Overall not a bad listen but not one I'll be going back to.
This thing was 2hrs but it felt like way longer, just a completely bloated album. Some interesting instrumentals throughout. Didn't enjoy this at all.
Classic 70's rock, nice listen and enjoyed this one all the way through.
Didn't know what I was expecting to going into a R.E.M album but I enjoyed this. Short and well balanced album.
Brilliant listen, loved the whole album. Started off strong and just enjoyed the whole 34 minutes running time. Not a genre I'm familiar with but this has reaffirmed why I wanted to start this journey in the first place.
Legendary artist, legendary album.
Remember this album from growing up and really enjoyed it then. After relistening to the full album again I found it to be brilliant all over. Great fun album all round.
Not too bad, punk isn't normally my genre but was a decent listen. Whole album kind of blended together.
Not my cup of tea but nice mixture of Country, blues rock.
Jazz rock fusion but nothing much to this one for me, was ok.
Totally new genre to me but found there were some good songs on this album, enjoyed more than I was expecting.
Morrison Hotel was ok nothing really exciting, not overly familiar with The Doors. Standout track from the record for me was "Peace Frog".
Some of the spoken word sections felt a bit pretentious and started getting annoying but overall was an ok listen, not something I'll be going back to.
Good voice but nah not it, not for me.
Didn't like this at all, got through it. Glad it was a short one.
Love this album still to this day, might be a big influence due to nostalgia of it being on repeat growing up. But the album has remained timeless for me personally. Prefer this debut and the older Coldplay records up till about Viva La Vida then I kind of fell out of listening to their newer stuff. Great intro and brilliant tracklist all throughout.
Didn't realise how many classics were on this one album. Great and enjoyable listen, full of great disco classic songs.
This was far too long of an album, completely void of any consistency. After halfway through the terrible vocals started getting on my nerves just wanted it to end. "White Noise Maker" yes that's exactly what this album was. Booooring.....
Interesting concept and story behind this album/recording. Not something I would normally listen to or really enjoy. Was good to have on in the background and that's all I can really say about this one.
Can't say britpop is my favourite genre, but had enough to keep me listening and has the classic "We are Young".
Very abstract and experimental. Not my cup of tea but I must say was interesting to listen to Brian Eno's solo work, after only really knowing him for his production work.
Strange mixture that kind of worked, not terrible but not something I would ever listen to again.
Not bad, but nothing really stood out to me on this one. Looking forward to hearing the other releases from Sonic Youth though.
Started off ok, but got progressively worse as it went on. And holy shit the spoken word "stories" annoyed the shit out of me.
Not really a fan of soul but this was a very energetic live album. "I wanna know what's wrong with me..........it ain't that leukaemia".
Kind of forgettable album not my thing, got annoying listening to it towards the end despite some alright songs in the first half of the album.
Not for me, not terrible.
Political rap that is just too on the nose, pretty boring. Lengthy songs that felt as though they were beating you over the head with a specific message with no nuance.
Good album enjoyed this one, Chris Cornell's vocals shone through on this. Could have maybe been shortened a bit to might the record a bit tighter but overall good stuff.
Another Sonic Youth album my 2nd so far, I enjoyed this more than Dirty, but similarly not vibing with them just yet. Maybe another listen of this would help but I'm just not sure. Though I can overall start to understand and see why they are revered and so influential in the industry.
No, couldn't understand a thing at all. I did enjoy the instrumentation and overall sound of this album, but couldn't get over the fact I couldn't understand any of the lyrics at all.
The first song at 20 mins long should have been cut down into a few tracks. Other than that I kind of enjoyed this one, wasn't too bad.
Like a lot of the big standout hits off this album "Time to pretend, Electric Feel, Kids". The rest of the album I found to be pretty good too, quite enjoyed this and a bit of a change from what I've been getting generated on this list recently.
Actually a few good songs but nothing that caught my attention. Was a really long album, could have done without the full 1hr 33min. Got bored towards the end and just became background music in the end.
I can see why this is in the list due to its significance in the Drum and bass genre, being one of the earliest mainstream albums within the genre. Can't lie the first song got a bit boring at 20mins long but I actually kind of enjoyed some of this album surprisingly.
Saving grace of this one was the instrumentals other than that the lyrics were terrible and dated. And the album went on for way too long.
Good metal album...I think. Not a genre I'm super clued up on but I did enjoy this album, woke me up on a tired Friday morning, enjoyable listen.
Some parts about half way got me interested but just as a whole didn't really stand out to me. Got bored towards the end, especially a nice 8+ minute song to end the album.
Not bad enjoyed this one.
Great listen, classic 90's east coast hip-hop.
Quite enjoyed listening to this one, not too bad.
Way too long both album and individual songs, boring and uninteresting songs. Might have been good at the time but if so it's aged like milk.
One or two songs on here were quite a nice listen particularly "Fine for Now". But generally just a forgettable album.
Good concept for an album, not a huge country fan but I did find some enjoyment out of this.
Inoffensive, ultimately ended up as background music.
Again background music, boring and just not for me
Yet another that ended up being background noise. Interesting hearing "Babylon" heard this one a lot before and one of the ones I didn't mind on here.
I don't mind The Killers, but to be honest wouldn't say I'm a fan. Album has one or two good radio hits. Second half of the album fell flat in comparison to the first.
Nope
Punk...loud noises!!!
Pleasantly surprised enjoyed listening to this album. Good songs and singing on this and an easy listen.
Not a big fan of this one, enjoyed the instrumentals across the album though so upgrades it to a 2/5 for me.
Not my cup of tea, didn't really vibe with this. One track was alright but can't remember which one.
Album was alright but kind of passed me by to be honest. Obviously the well known "Grove Is in the Heart" was a good listen, interesting to listen to the full album.
Just droned on with the noise. I definitely could have been fine with never listening to this.
Classic George Michael, brilliant album and sounds fantastic on this. Really enjoyed listening to the full album, some great instrumentals throughout also.
Classic, smooth and brilliant. All round great album.
Loved this, great collaboration between Common and Kanye at their very best. Instantly pulled in and joined this from the intro. Production was great throughout this album along with Common's smooth flows this was an amazing listen.
Like the Beatles but not.
Pretty mid.
Background noise, literally noise.
Not bad, felt like I was on a beach somewhere in or walking the streets of Cuba.
Jazz isn't my usual bag but I do like the odd bits I hear now and then. This was brilliant though and stands out from everything I've heard from the genre before. Loved this and was a pleasure to have on in the background, look forward to a re-listen again at some point.
Kind of boring to be honest.
Toe tapping tunes, can see how The Beetles took inspiration from Little Richard listening to this.
Kind of whatever, Step On is a classic but other than that nothing particularly interesting for me on this album.
Good album, need to listen to this one on some proper headphones next time and not my earbuds. But overall quite interesting.
A dark synth pop album was a bit interesting to begin with, but really nothing that captured my attention in the end.
Really enjoyed this, heard a few Elbow songs over the years and never listened to one of their albums.
Wasn't really in the mood for listening to this, didn't really enjoy it too much. Can appreciate it though.
Not for me
Enjoyed this, some great classic rock.
Really nice easy listening, like Willie Nelson's voice. This album totally caught me by surprise.
Uplifting, 80's synth pop. Really enjoyed this album.
Ok but not my genre
2/5
Brilliant in its simplicity. Really enjoyed this album, glad I can say I've heard of Nick Drake and listened to his music.
2/5
2/5
Nice 90's hip-hop
