Crime Of The Century
SupertrampI would almost rather listen to a bad album than a boring one. It just felt like an album of background music - prog rock meets muzak with some royalty free piano mixed in.

Was reading a review of this album and the reviewer put into words how this album sounded to me: overproduced. A wall of guitar sounds. The fake rapping and the screaming - it’s the cheap waxy chocolate version of angsty teenage rebellion.
Not sure how I feel about The Cars - sometimes they feel upbeat and sometimes they feel worn out. I won’t turn off their stuff when it comes on the radio but I don’t go looking for it either.
I can hear the talent in the songs and I enjoyed listening to it. However, because the songs have been in so many movies and we've heard the grandchildren/great grandchildren of these once pioneering tunes, they feel lacking to me.
Most of my knowledge of Springsteen comes from comedy sketches and parodies - and this album felt like that. Dark, rambling, nothing to groove to. Of my limited exposure to Springsteen, the only song I like is “Dancing in the dark”

The only song I knew by Booker T & The MGs before listening to this album was “Green Onions”. And that’s because it’s the only song worth listening to on this album.
Love “Cripple Creek” - was able to feel the relaxed vibe of the album but did not find a groove. I think there was too much rock to be folk and not enough energy to be rock. I like southern rock with more energy - didn’t feel like the brass section added a lot on this album.
Not a big jazz/blues person but Miles has something.
Sometimes the music meets the mood perfectly. It is really beautiful outside, isn’t it?
Did not like. I have mixed feelings about Bowie. Some songs there’s nothing like it but some songs sound awful. “I’m a blackstar, I’m not a gangster” - I was done with this album.
I can see the talent, the unique timeless rhythm of the songs and understand the impact this album had on the genres after it came out. But I didn’t love it- I enjoyed it.
“No alarms and no surprises please” this album isn’t for every mood but when it hits, it’s perfect.
The melodies are great, the beats are great, the storytelling rapping is great.
This is a 2 hour experimental album. Nuff said.
I don’t know if it’s because the album is a certain style but felt dated. Mostly common rapping a story over a decently catchy mixed track.
Grunge or punk - not sure. But makes the mood brighter more fighting spirit.
Repetitive, very generic. Guitar riffs are forgettable. The best thing I can say about Guns N' Roses is how good they are at tricking people into thinking screeching counts as singing.
I can understand the masterpiece of this album without enjoying it personally. R&B is just not my jam. It’s like too slow funk or jazz with singing instead of instruments.
Sounds like generic Brit garage rock to me - I know it was a huge album but didn’t find myself drawn to it.
I listened to this and don't remember anything about it.
old school, west coast rap. feels very dated though. I can appreciate what this album means to the genre but also not love it myself.
Lyrical hip hop with jazz samples - some good stuff.
"Comfortably Numb" is a incredible cover, one of the best. The rest of the album is unappealing dance/ballad style music. Did not like.
Light-hearted and joyous - I really like this album.
Looping sample music - kinda makes you angry.
It's like 80's music but also lo-fi? Kind of shoegaze-y. I could listen to it but didn't find it memorable/find joy in it. More like 1.5 stars.
It's like what if indie rock did experimental jazz. Just not good.
Not sure what acid house is but this album is repetitive, trippy, and full of odd sounds. Very like soundtrack music of early 2000s indie movies during montages. 2 stars.
Lots of ballad style rock. And flute. Eh.
I like the punkrock sort of fast active beats but honestly sounds mostly like noise to me.
Lo-Fi Punk but also like Beach Boy California Pop Rock. Not great.
Hippie rock or psychadelic rock or fast-folk rock. Enjoyable but doesn't get as catchy as I would like.
Good but like just an instrumental soundtrack?
Jimi not fully developed yet. Some good tracks.
Like a coffee shop music night - not terrible but not good. 1.5 stars
Feet tappin and hip grooving. Nice.
3 stars.
sort of soulful but excruciatingly slow.
It's weird - I don't like or dislike the Smiths. They make songs that sort of work as a background soundtrack.
Used to not like Yes. Now I kind of do? 3 stars
Weird - kind of folly pop.
Very dated pop music - like mall store music.
accoustic country music - not a big fan.
Didn't mind it but didn't love it.
I love the idea of DEVO. The execution, not as much. Still enjoy but can be grating.
1 Star per song I liked on this album.
Night prowler, highway to hell, touch too much,
"Song 2" is iconic but there's some other hits on it like "Look Inside America". Though it was pretty forgettable honestly but didn't mind it.
Eminem has good raps - not always the best beats or melodies. "Real Slim Shady" is best track off album but there are a few good hits.
I tried to like it - "Underground" is a strong way to start an album. It's just too experimental for me. One song was spoken word - I did not like that.
Just sounded like generic punk music to me.
Like Tom Petty but album was meh.
Generic country
