Beggars Banquet by The Rolling Stones
Nov 08 2023

Incdible entry point with Sympathy. Love the minor Jigsaw Puzzle Salt of the Earth epitomizes the album.

Fulfillingness' First Finale by Stevie Wonder
Nov 10 2023

Two of his best tracks of all time on this release. A little mellow for me but the album certainly highlights his versatility as a songwriter and as an extraordinary keyboard player.

Physical Graffiti by Led Zeppelin
Nov 12 2023

Easily the best Zeppelin album. From the opening licks of Custard Pie to Page’s wailing jam at the end of Sick Again—and all points in between—Zeppelin’s range, power and raw emotion is on full display. Cannot be topped, perhaps by any rock album, ever. That argument can certainly be made.

Elastica by Elastica
Nov 13 2023

Super fun discovery of a band I didn’t know. Strong beats and grooves with lyrics that aren’t too angsty. Very accessible post punk.

Superfly by Curtis Mayfield
Nov 14 2023
Nov 15 2023

Interesting background/wallpaper music. Nothing exactly compelling or controversial. An album I have to hear before I die? Probably not.

Groovin' by The Young Rascals
Nov 16 2023

Totally competent and vanilla first date music from the late 60s. Seems like the inspiration for that period’s sit-com themes. Gets slightly edgier and groovier toward the end.

Infected by The The
Nov 17 2023

Think B-52s meets Bowie for the first couple of tracks. Then you gets one Aha and Police vibes. Then you slowly realize, particularly with the addition of female vocalist Neneh Cherry on Slow Train To Dawn, they have a sound all their own and it’s really solid.
