1001 Albums Summary

If the lazy silkworm-spun guitar melodies of Mysterons and Glory Box were alive in 1800s San Francisco, they'd lie repose on a chaise lounge in a seedy opium den on the Barbary Coast, eyes glazed over in a state of blissed-out euphoria. Portishead surely earns its moniker as progenitor of Air, Handsome Boy Modeling Club, and the litany of lesser-than downtempo darlings of the late 90s and early aughts.

Good but I just can’t get into the classic rock as much as I used to

Definitely Maybe not going to listen to this again. No knocks to Oasis, but questionable inclusion on the top 1,000. It sounds like the other Oasis album, which I like better and has three legitimately amazing songs

It is a classic. I like the Beatles and some songs are great (Dear Prudence), but some are meh.

New album for me. British punk rock isn't my thing but glad I listened to it
