London Calling by The Clash
Jan 08 2024

This album doesn't sound like punk in my opinion. This definitely sounds like British rock which I'm not complaining about. A lot of cool sounds but the sound is not punk for me. The punk really came in the form of the lyrics and the freedom to try different sounds. Really enjoyed this album.

Jan 09 2024

Wasn't really feeling this one. Just felt like it was missing jams on the album. Oh well, on to the next.

Time Out by The Dave Brubeck Quartet
Jan 10 2024

Being that jazz is my first love this album has some of the most popular jazz standards on it. The mix is immaculate. You can hear every note. I would suggest listening to this album.

Can't Buy A Thrill by Steely Dan
Jan 11 2024

Classic Rock at its best. I feel there's some jazz guitar and dash of country vibes. Definitely an album I'll suggest

Yoshimi Battles The Pink Robots by The Flaming Lips
Jan 12 2024

The music is cool. Some of the synths get a little repetitive but it's a vibe. Like you're floating through space and time with a robot. I'm not in love with the lead singers voice. Definitely a festival band. Okay, "Do You Realize?" is a classic song. No doubt about that.

In A Silent Way by Miles Davis
Jan 15 2024

Jazz in its purest form. Long jams, movements, and transitions. Music that you can feel and carry with you. This is timeless!

Abattoir Blues / The Lyre of Orpheus by Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds
Jan 16 2024

Oh shit! I LOVE how this album is starting. This is the feeling I've been waiting for. The harder guitar and the lyrics I'm already enjoying. This might be one of my favorite rock albums we've reviewed so far. The mixing of this album is impeccable. I must know who it is. This is one of my favorite rock albums we've reviewed. I'm adding it to my list.

Axis: Bold As Love by Jimi Hendrix
Jan 17 2024

One of the greatest to ever pick up a guitar. This album is a mixture of rock, jazz, and blues. It's a fun journey. Listened on vinyl*

Club Classics Vol. One by Soul II Soul
Jan 18 2024

Holy nostalgia! First song came on the radio all the time in my childhood. Great singing and you can tell this is the middle age of synthesizers. Not great but not bad. Back To Life has been sampled so many times.

Medúlla by Björk
Jan 19 2024

This is probably too experimental for my mood. It's a bit jarring but there's some good songs on this album. The creativity is off the charts with the approach of each song. Enjoyability is more variable.

Zombie by Fela Kuti
Jan 22 2024
Bossanova by Pixies
Jan 23 2024

This satisfied my craving for harder rock sound. It seems to have a combination of different sounds and styles incorporated into the album.

On The Beach by Neil Young
Jan 24 2024

I really liked this album.

Hot Shots II by The Beta Band
Jan 26 2024

I'm enjoying this album. That first track was smoked in a Lupe Fiasco song.

Foo Fighters by Foo Fighters
Jan 29 2024

Dave Grohl is awesome!

L.A. Woman by The Doors
Jan 30 2024

Felt like I should be drinking while listening to this album. So much southern blues influence!

Good Old Boys by Randy Newman
Jan 31 2024

Honestly, could not get into this album.

Butterfly by Mariah Carey
Feb 01 2024

90's classic R&b. Her voice is still one of the best.

Getz/Gilberto by Stan Getz
Feb 02 2024

Jazz standards get 5 stars

Fleet Foxes by Fleet Foxes
Feb 06 2024

This was smooth. I liked it

Young Americans by David Bowie
Feb 20 2024

An ode to soul and rock. I'm with this

Public Image: First Issue by Public Image Ltd.
Feb 21 2024

That was an adventure. I like the drums up front in the mix but it is very chaotic.

The Low End Theory by A Tribe Called Quest
Feb 29 2024

The entrance of this album marks the golden age of hip hop. In this era, hip hop started to branch out in multiple areas of the country and continued to evolve at a high rate. The jazzy samples, heavy bass(the low end) and raps by Phife and Q-Tip made this infectious album. A true introduction to Busta Rhymes on Scenario is a classic moment in hip hop.

It's that early 90's club hip hop

KIWANUKA by Michael Kiwanuka
Mar 15 2024

New soul! Really like this album.

Duck Rock by Malcolm McLaren

Doesn't feel authentic.
