ACAB does NOT include The Police. Fun album with fun songs. Message in a Bottle may overshadow the rest a lot, but songs like Bring On The Night and Walking on the Moon are just as memorable if you ask me.
I mean, come on. This is one of the best albums ever made. One of the godfathers of progressive rock, arguably one of the best, most innovative, and most creative bands ever, with this being their magnum opus. The opening suite into Passage to Bangkok is enough to make it an all-timer on its own, and they still have 4 other songs afterward.
I wasnβt expecting such a long series of instrumentals, but a David Bowie string of no-word songs is definitely on the higher end of enjoyable. Seen as sort of a one-song album, which is understandable given it's one of his biggest hits, but still an overall nice, cozy, complete-sounding project from start to finish.
One of the greatest on-stage performers ever, doing what he does best. The crowd is rabid, but they quiet down to still hear every word he sings. Barely a half hour, and he's got the crowd eating out of his hand with ease. Not too many others on that level.
Everyone knows this album. Everyone is born knowing this album. Half the songs on this are some of the most well-known hits ever. It's incredible. Easiest 5/5 in the world.
Itβs Michael Jackson, itβs the true beginning of his solo career. We all know how it goes. Classic hits galore, fun deeper cuts, itβs how almost every album of his goes. It's good, but he gets even better.
This album came out during the unfortunate and not very graceful transition from 80s-90s and I feel that it shows. I only liked really one song off of this. It seemed that they were trying to stick with what they did before while sort of trying some new stuff with it, and it just really didn't make anything too memorable.
Anyone who knows me well enough knows that I don't like country music. I'd go as far as to say that I am a country music hater. With the country music I've grown up with, it's easy to see why and how. But THIS??? This is fantastic. The day they stopped making it like this is the day the genre died a grisly death. Straying from this was a massive mistake. This was lovely in every way.
I am not a fan of the Velvet Underground, so I had a fair bit of apprehension seeing this come up. But this was very good! Pleasantly surprised. I don't have much else to say about it.
I was not familiar with Sarah Vaughan at all before listening to this. Iβm upset I hadn't heard her sooner! Sheβs absolutely lovely.
I have no idea what theyβre saying, and itβs all very weird. But Iβm not entirely opposed to it.
I like Bob Dylan, I donβt mind his voice. The second set was not enjoyed as much by the people there, but honestly I felt like it was better than the first.
Good album. Good band. I donβt really have any other notes for this. Itβs just a good album, simple as that.
I wasnβt expecting to see a glam rock album on here, and while I know some Hanoi Rocks songs, none of them are on this album. Itβs alright, nothing extraordinary.
A solid album (no pun intended) by one of the greats. Simple as that.
This was my first time really listening to Join Mitchell. Iβm now going to listen to more Joni Mitchell
I think Iβll like this more the more I listen to it
How have I never heard of these guys before? This is fantastic.
I had no idea what this was gonna be going into it. This was nice to space out to. Felt like it would just keep on going forever.
Ah FUCK yeah. Life long Beastie Boys fan. I havenβt heard this whole thing in forever. Best group of white boys ever.
While this has the deluxe edition cover, I listened to just the original for the authentic experience (and deluxe culture sucks). Great album, I love prog stuff, Yes is fantastic (and at their best doing prog stuff).
Nothing too crazy, pretty standard rock n roll album. Rod Stewart isnβt as outwardly horny when heβs in a band.
Slayer rules, this album is iconic.
This was my first time listening to Peter Gabriel in a long-form way. I enjoyed it! I'm sure I'd like his usual, weirder stuff as well.
I was afraid this would drag because of how long it was but I enjoyed it throughout. I like the party feel that the whole album gives off.
This was very 1985
Incredible. Not much else that can be said that hasnβt been said already.
A bunch of short songs that sound like they were recorded in a garage. Good times.
The Black Keys have gone platinum in this household, I know thatβs for true
One of the best. Easy 5
You canβt go wrong with Frank. Iβm a sucker for anything with horns, so this is a real nice and easy listen
The album ending with songs getting shorter and the very last one ending because he ran out of tape is a lost art
I will never understand how Steely Dan is the most 50/50 band when it comes public opinion. How could you NOT love this?????
Never get between someone and how much they wanna say the fuck word.
Honestly, this seems like a weird inclusion, seeing as the band themselves werenβt allowed much input on the album. Sure it had success but the band felt a lot of this was filler, and I'd have to agree. It's not terrible, I still enjoyed most of it, but it's still an album mostly dictated by a label rather than the actual musicians.
I donβt really know what this was supposed to be but I enjoyed it
It was fun and had a saxophone in it. Thatβs all I ask for
I think Iβd be fine if I never heard shake it off ever again, but the rest is really good.
Did not expect horns and such on here. Love it
What do you MEAN Love Hurts has been by the Everly Brothers this whole time???
A straight hour of horns and sax. This was made for me
Frank was real sad with this one.
Normally I like weird and experimental stuff. But this wasβ¦ I donβt even know. Nothing struck me or stuck with me at all, and there were times I audibly went βOh noβ. Not her best
I do enjoy an album thatβs one whole story. Musicianship is just amazing.
15/10 no notes.
Having not heard much Van Morrison before, this felt like a fantastic intro to his wider discography. Fantastic live shows
I love David Bowie and I adore this album.
I think this is the newest album Iβve gotten on here now. Surprised Iβd never heard of her until now.
Pretty good. Iβm always a sucker for 90s solo female singer
Only knew their main hit so this was nice to hear
Seriously man what happened to country music? Why did we stray from this? Shit sucks now
I feel ethereal listening to this. An incredible experience every time
Good ol punk goodness I didnβt realize that Corona song was on here
I am a gigantic fan of dream pop/shoegaze stuff. Iβm honestly upset with myself that Iβve never listened to Beach House til now. This was amazing.
This is alright. I think I prefer his 60s stuff though.
Kinda feel like this album is carried by how good Mrs. Robinson is. The rest isnβt nearly as memorable.
Good stuff. Never listened to them before, glad to have more stuff to look forward to
Iβm not well versed in techno/house music at all, but itβs nice to vibe and zone out to
When I was a kid, I thought this was a greatest hits album. In a way it is, which is just an unreal achievement. Canβt think of anyone else who managed something like this.
I love getting Rush-ified!!!
Iβm thinking the guy who made this list is British.
These white boys were cooking for real
I somehow didnβt know he was British until now
Fuck Morrissey
M-E-T-H-O-D MAN
Seriously how can people not like this? Itβs pure fun and joy
One of the few good things to come from the South
This wasnβt BAD but it was very boring. Nothing stuck out to me
i was glad when it was finally over
He used to be so good man.
Was not expecting anything close to post hardcore on this. Fuck yeah.
Certified classic
I used to dog on these guys, but theyβre honestly pretty good.
Prog-y, saxophone-y goodness, oh yes sir. This was made for me
Donβt think I ever noticed the whispered backing vocals in Master of Puppets. The Thing That Should Not Be is so underrated. It feels kinda weird to say since this album is so incredible and iconic as a whole, but I still feel like this track does not get talked about enough. Itβs happened a lot, to a lot of bands, for forever now, but itβs still funny that Metallica is one of those bands that military dudes are super into. The same band that has the song Disposable Heroes. Lmao. For some reason i always think Damage Inc. is on And Justice for All. I donβt know why. James kinds sounds British when whispers the title.
