American Idiot
Green DayKind of boring. Jesus of Suburbia is the lone standout.
Kind of boring. Jesus of Suburbia is the lone standout.
Very beautiful but unexciting. I imagine this is something that needed to be viewed on video.
Listening to this is a seedy smoke-filled bar in 1973 would have gone absolutely nutso
Fine.
Incredible. If the Beatles were good.
Not sure why they call it “Bad!”
Fun.
Sonically a lot of the songs just sound the same. Fun to listen to for a little bit.
Really good.
Fantastic. Perfect encapsulation of the early 90s.
Fine. Felt derivative but could be the genesis of all that type of music. Feel like this service should give a brief history of the bands/album so I know why they’re important.
Some of the greatest to ever do it.
Fine.
Don’t really remember!
So good!
Very fun and appreciate the length.
Fun. Obviously very influential.
Beautiful. One of the greatest singers of all time.
Very good. Proto Mac Demarco
Some classics but mostly not for me.
Takes me back to GTA
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Some bangers but… overrated.
Pretty good. Surprised Ice Cube isn't more talked about.
Beautiful, vibrant.
Fun.
Really just not for me.
Great car ride listen.
Is there a better song than Little Red Corvette?
Nick Cave unrefined. Some interesting stuff here
Fine. Don’t see the post-punk label much.
Not for me!
As a noted Jack White hater, I stand correct. Sixteen Saltines...
Beautiful! Will listen again in a car.
Felt old.
Zatarans type beat
Kind of blown away by some of the stuff on here. Very of its time, in a fresh way.
Not very good, imho
Fun. Lots of songs I’ve never heard.
Great left-wing musician.
Good, energetic blues.
Some real heaters on here.
Bland.
I listen to so many bands clearly influenced by this
As someone who likes The Smiths, this is insanely boring.
Fun, but it's just not Joy Division.
Beautiful and haunting. Incredible that people can approach death in the way he did.
No impact on me. Rather boring.
Songs in the key of Super Mario brothers
Fun for what it is. Thought this band was better given the reputation.
Every song is just Ace of Spades!
Some interesting stuff here, but probably would not listen again.
Not exactly up my alley, but I think of so many artists influenced by this.
Great... Definitely influenced by the Cure.
First half of the album was incredible. Yell more!
Thought this was a lot of fun, especially as the album went on. Really good stuff here, none of which I have ever heard.
Fantastic, but felt like it lost the plot in the last 25-30%.
Damn! Seems very polarizing - lots of 1 star and 5 star reviews. The 5 star reviews are correct, obviously.
The cool band your uncool Gen X dad listens to
Beautiful! This led the way for so many other musicians.
Sonically a lot of it was the exact same, but some classics on here.
Quintessentially 90s. Would probably not listen again, but would be interested in her more popular songs.
Always reliable. Just some of the best to ever do it.
Damn. Incredible and so full of life.
Some really catchy stuff on here (“Mary”) but just not for me.
Unfortunately went into this already knowing I don’t like this band. Not much going on. Only song I remotely enjoyed was "On Hold." This inclusion is baffling to me.
Pretty run-of-the-mill late 60s psychedelic stuff. A little darker than the rest, but not very remarkable to me.
Never been a Beatles guy but there was a lot of great stuff on here.
As many others have pointed out, he wants to be Prince but does not have the talent to be Prince.
A lot of substance here, and a pleasure to listen to.
One of the all time banger albums.
This helped me understand why Green Day are as revered as they are. Such a good record.
Some okay stuff here, but I wouldn't doubt if you could trace today's (mostly) terrible country music to this.
Really good. Great noises on here. Feels like a Rob Zombie movie or Session 9.
All the people who don't like this are wrong.
Incredibly enjoyable. Really great start to an album... Incredible that there is like no information on it, but it's on this list.
Pleasant! Very easy listening. Peak of the album for me was the song that plays halfway through.
Some really good stuff on here, just not for me. My enjoyment was around a 3, but I feel like objectively, this is a 4/5 star album.
Kind of unremarkable. I do dig the audio quality, though - I genuinely think it enhances the songs.
Never listened to this before, but I'm completely floored by it. So fun to listen to - every track is great and the skits are actually funny.
I see the importance of this and how much is owed to Liz Phair by modern artists, but... you can definitely tell this is the beginning of something in that it's not quite what it could be.
