Oh yeah. Good jam time record you know. To quote from the apple music editorial description - "More than songs or performances, 1972’s Exile on Main St. was about mood." I could imagine myself putting this album on again in the background but not a big intentional listen for me and no real standout tracks for a playlist. Notably Tumbling Dice is one of the only songs on the apple music version of the "This Is Rolling Stones" playlist. Just not a lot of standout songs on here imo but a pleasant listen. 6.5? 7? 6? Who cares.

I wonder if there is some diverging timeline in which Bob Dylan "didn't go electric". The double side business is interesting. I've always like rock and roll bob dylan but don't have a lot to say about any of the non Subterranean or Maggie's Farm songs. I wonder if it's _cool_ to really love gates of eden. It's Alright, Ma is a good one though. I wonder if the studio chatter at the beginning of bob dylan's 115th dream was one of the first apperances of this trick that i feel like every artist loves doing and everyone else tolerates. It's All Over Now, Baby Blue is as always a 10/10 and is such an enthralling vocal performance as well. And of course mr. tambourine man. I don't know. ALBUM SCORE? higher than exile. 7, 7.5, it's all over now baby blue is as good of a song as anyone made in the 60's. Won't listen again unless i do a full bob dylan listen. Which i might.

Listening to the 2015 remaster if that matters. The solo in computer blue mixed with the keyboard matching the same line in the background ALMOST makes it sound like it's being vocoded/talkboxed. Fun effect. Just loved this album. Not much else to say. Not sure why it didn't hit as hard when i listened in the day
