I understand how influential this guy and The Beach Boys were, just can’t listen to more than a song or two at once.
Influential. Would listen to again. Lou Reed is king but I like velvet underground better cause they jam more. That’s why it’s a three star
Obviously very influential. A classic that makes me move my head. Don’t know that I would put it on repeat though. Solid 3, would go 3.5
I just don’t like the constant nasally screaming into the mic.
Top 10 rap album of all time
Clearly influential. Beautiful guitar. Interesting cadence and pitch of voice. Probably couldn’t listen to it on repeat.
Jimi is such an amazing guitar player (not saying anything new there). The bass and drums really drove the sounds too. The use of the right and left speakers for different sounds or moving the same sound back and forth created a unique spatial environment that put you in the room with the band.
Very in your face. Can tell it influenced a lot of modern rap and even some rock with his cadence, beats and lyrics. Cadence and beats: Macklemore, Beastie Boys, Kendrick. Cadence: Red Hot Chili Peppers (Give it Away). Lyrics: Kendrick, most other clever rappers
Very solid music. Was well-timed with the background music I needed at the moment when I turned it on. I want to give it higher than a three but I just can’t bring myself to do it.
Pivotal album. Always hits. The Chili’s are always on a level of their own for me.
Love me some jazz and this couldn’t brighten any day
It was just ok. Good music but the lead singer’s voice got old quick. I felt like so many of the songs could have broken into jams and they just kinda hung in that ‘almost a good song’ category
Caught me in a jazzy mood
Meh. Got sick of his voice. First song gave me a little hope but then this one really drug out.
Groovy! Cool covers too
All time great
Some absolute classics on here. What an iconic guitar sound.
Very 80’s. Each one sounded like the last. No likes to take away but I’m sure someone in the world appreciates it so not just one star
