It's Blitz!
Yeah Yeah Yeahs2.5/5 I just can’t get into this. She has a hypnotic voice, but I just don’t identify with the songs.

4/5. I liked it better than I expected to being I don’t know much Muse. I liked the electronica, the epic sound. Great vocals, great harmonies. Would listen to again.
5/5. Man, it may have been the first time I listened to the album that closely, but every song is a classic. Iconic.
3/5. Didn’t really connect with me. Lots of drug songs, long psychedelic instrumentals. “Heroin” was good and I really liked “I’ll Be Your Mirror”.
4/5 I don’t listen to a lot of blues, but, wow, the vocals and the instruments here are so powerful and pure. King’s voice is superb. And I love how the audience is just with the musicians every step of the way.
3/5 I love Elton John, and “Tiny Dancer” is one of my favorites, but I’m not thrilled with a lot of the songs and you just know there are better albums to come.
3/5 Just not my thing. I suspect I just don’t vibe with grunge- unrelentingly dark, depressing, droning- but I will listen to a few more albums before saying that for sure. I did recognize and like “Black Hole Sun”.
2.5/5 I just can’t get into this. She has a hypnotic voice, but I just don’t identify with the songs.
4/5 Whoo, it’s Bowie. Love the voice and the intensity, though Thin White Duke isn’t my favorite Bowie. Still Bowie can always intrigue me start to finish.
4/5. Don’t have a lot of experience with reggae, but I liked it, though I did skip some of the instrumentals as they do sound much the same. I liked the Randy Newman and Billie Holiday covers. The politics was very hard-hitting and thought-provoking.
4/5. Didn’t know much Kate Bush going in and at first it didn’t seem like my kind of music, but it was that second side, that “Ninth Wave” concept suite, that really sold me. It’s difficult, dense listening, but it’s so compelling and brazen for a commercial album. It really stays with me.
3/5. Great voice, but the songs don’t really do it for me. I recognize the phenomena, but I don’t share it.
5/5. Tracy Chapman! Actually an album I’ve bought. Love her voice, love her songs and intensity. “Fast Car” is one of the best songs ever and I loved the duet she did at the Grammys a few years back. Classic.
Not really my style. Only got through part of the album.
4/5. Never imagined me liking heavy metal, but here we are. There is something mesmerizing about the relentless guitar and bass, the vocals, the other worldly fantasy lyrics. Need to hear more Black Sabbath.
2/5. Just not for me. Dark, unrelenting, strangling. Only the fourth track love song appealed to me at all. I may be destined to not like grunge. That’s two now- one more strike.
3/5. I recognize her talent, but it’s just not for me. I sampled each song, but didn’t listen all the way through.
3/5. Vocals are great, like the sound, interesting rhythms, but the songs don’t really do it for me. I like “Brass In Pocket”.
3/5. I didn’t expect this to be my type of music, but her voice really is lovely and I really liked the tribute frame of the album.
2/5. Some nice harmonies, but just not for me. Too slow and meandering, doesn’t connect with me.
4/5. I have so little experience with rap, but I was riveted to this start to finish. The lyrics are dense and first rate. The rhythm is infectious.
5/5. Love this mid-60s, early psychedelic sound- it’s right in my sweet spot. Vocals, harmonies, guitars, lyrics, just great. Reminded me of Buffalo Springfield.
4/5. First time hearing most of this and though I love listening to Neil Young, this album isn’t really a favorite. Some nice lyrics and harmonies here, though.
3/5. Not as fun for me as Black Sabbath was. Too many long meandering heavy metal instrumentals.
2/5. It’s just not music I can identify with.
4/5. Just a great mid-60s groove. Good harmonies, fun instrumentals. Surprising edge on some of the lyrics, but shmaltz on others.
4/5.
