1001 Albums Summary

I didn't realise there were so many bangers on here. I particularly liked the second song, Welcome to the Occupation

This is just brilliant. Ray is the master. Not a genre I am really into but the man just knows how to make great music and gets me in my soul

This is just brilliant. Reminded me of PJ Harvey so very much up my street. The standout track for me was Free Money which I think reminded me of a PJ Harvey/Kate Bush infusion which is just great

Some good hits but not sure why it is on this list to be honest

This is a grower. A couple of listens in and I got it. Would like to listen to more of them

It must have something about it to be on this list but for me, it was background music. Didn't make me feel anything and was very forgettable. Perhaps you had to be there when it was released

I listened to this album when it was released. It is good, but not quite great. I really like her voice and the variety of songs on this album though

I like Depeche Mode but I think, listening to this album, I'm maybe more of a Greatest Hits kind of guy

not heard of this guy before. It was ok. I was pretty indifferent

Jazz isn't really my thing but I thought this was quite good. I just don't have an appreciation of the subtleties that no doubt make this a classic

Seemed to be well received back in the day, but with the exception of the singles, I thought it was pretty average looking at it through a modern lense

First time listening to Sonic Youth. High hopes based on the first track but then became quite average. I expect I might like some of this band's later works

Can't get over the boys voice. Like a parody of what a rock singer should sound like. Great hooks but overrated
