War by U2
Sep 29 2025

Still don’t get u2

We Are Family by Sister Sledge
Sep 30 2025

not terrible, but not really interesting to me on a first listen, not my bag

Surfer Rosa by Pixies
Oct 01 2025

...and just like that, the world contracted a serious Pixies infection.

Rio by Duran Duran
Oct 02 2025

hrmph, catchy

Heartattack And Vine by Tom Waits
Oct 08 2025

still not sure I'm gonna be listening to TW for fun, but if I decide to try again, I'll come back here.

Sex Packets by Digital Underground
Oct 09 2025

dig it

Ten by Pearl Jam
Oct 10 2025
Cheap Thrills by Big Brother & The Holding Company
Oct 15 2025

white girl from texas with that voice rings a bit differently today, but I dug the album (again)

Pornography by The Cure
Oct 23 2025

diluted dread, i guess kinda what I expected for a Cure album, might be worth a revisit

The ArchAndroid by Janelle Monáe
Oct 28 2025

for modernish pop, interesting. potentially worth a revisit

Revolver by Beatles
Oct 29 2025

Beats rubber soul

That's The Way Of The World by Earth, Wind & Fire
Oct 30 2025

inoffensively bland radio music that I really only see myself dusting off when I need something harmless to play for company, didn't *dislike* it, but I don't know that I MUST have heard it before I died.

Low-Life by New Order
Oct 31 2025

winner, this'll get more play

Rhythm Nation 1814 by Janet Jackson
Nov 05 2025

Better than I remembered / expected. Though I doubt I'll be back for another listen very often.

Gris Gris by Dr. John
Nov 06 2025

I dig the lo-fi sound. Certainly like this Dr John a lot more than the later work I primarily associate with him. Might have to ask ChatGPT about jumping off points from this album.

Heaven Or Las Vegas by Cocteau Twins
Nov 10 2025

dug it enough for w few listens and dug up a few additional Cocteau Twins albums while I did

I've always liked the kinks track on the Rushmore soundtrack and thought I should look into finding more, but this album has reduced the priority of that task. Not wild about it, maybe you had to be there ...

Nov 12 2025

Didn't love this album at first, but it sure grew on me over the years.

Brilliant Corners by Thelonious Monk
Nov 17 2025

really like this one a lot, definite go-to for a day like the rainy sunday I listened to it on

A Wizard, A True Star by Todd Rundgren
Nov 21 2025

Wasn't an instant beloved album, but it seems to have all the hallmarks of the kind of album I come back to later and ultimately wind up not believing I wasn't completely in it's thrall right off

Licensed To Ill by Beastie Boys
Nov 24 2025

... enjoyable, not in frequent rotation. At least they became The Beastie Boys eventually ...

Green River by Creedence Clearwater Revival
Nov 25 2025

Solid album, but at some point for me the songs really start to all sound the same.

Felt Mountain by Goldfrapp
Nov 26 2025

brought to mind an opening/closing sequence of a Bond film. Okay, but I'm not so sure I'd be so poorly off if I'd missed it before I died.

What's That Noise? by Coldcut
Nov 27 2025

This is a 1001albums for me, not something I'd normally be drawn to, but I enjoyed it from the jump.

Good Old Boys by Randy Newman
Nov 28 2025

I'm afraid Family Guy ruined me for Randy Newman. Unoffensive album, but I don't really see myself reaching for it in the future

This Is Fats Domino by Fats Domino
Dec 01 2025

I'm sure it's historically significant, but I seriously doubt it'll get much more play for me.

Ágætis Byrjun by Sigur Rós
Dec 02 2025

Very cool! Reminded me at times of listening to In Rainbows. Clearly would never have found this if it hadn't been assigned to me - I could barely find it once it had, anyway

Boston by Boston
Dec 11 2025

Quickly reached Boston fatigue. Not offensive, but I doubt I'll seek it out again anytime soon.

Superfly by Curtis Mayfield
