Rings Around The World by Super Furry Animals
Nov 14 2025

This was a new album for me. Reminded me somewhat of 90s Weezer, Blur or Sloan. The horns on Presidential Suite had a similar feel to Walk on By and I really liked the hard right turn to industrial for the last two minutes of No Sympathy.

Tidal by Fiona Apple
Dec 01 2025

amazing that she was only 18 or so. good album

Electric Prunes by The Electric Prunes
Dec 04 2025

at least the songs are short

London Calling by The Clash
Dec 08 2025

I knew the singles from London Calling but didn’t realize I had never listened to the whole album. I was surprised how diverse the songs were.

Different Class by Pulp
Dec 09 2025

Common People is such a great song. The rest of the album was ok. I wouldn’t turn it off if it was on but I wouldn’t seek it out to play either.

Dec 10 2025

I forgot how violent and offensive this album is. Maybe I'm getting old but a lot of these songs didn't sit well with me. Still need to give this a 4 because there are some amazing songs on this record.

Odelay by Beck
Dec 19 2025

Great album. Love the mix of hip-hop style samples with grunge and folk. Beck really defined a sound in the 90s

Hounds Of Love by Kate Bush
Dec 22 2025

Good album. Running Up That Hill, Big Sky, and Cloudbusting are great songs. The second half “Ninth Wave” wasn’t as approachable or pop friendly but it was an impressive showcase of Kate Bush’s creativity and her use of technology/sampling.

Tracy Chapman by Tracy Chapman
Dec 23 2025

Beautiful and heartbreaking songs.

2112 by Rush
Dec 24 2025

Neil Peart Is brilliant, and this album is really well done but Rush is an acquired taste I think.

I Should Coco by Supergrass
Dec 25 2025

Good album. Alright is a classic great track. Some others like I’d like to know, Mansize Rooster, and Strange Ones really grew on me with a couple of listens

Dec 26 2025

Love these renditions of great Christmas songs. A little torn on what to rate it because at Christmas time it’s a five star but any other time of the year it’s two or three I’ll settle on four.

Idlewild by Everything But The Girl
Dec 31 2025

Meh

Frank by Amy Winehouse
Jan 05 2026
Dire Straits by Dire Straits
Jan 06 2026

I felt mixed about this album. I love Sultans of Swing but I wasn’t feeling the other songs. On the other hand I ended up listening to the whole album three or four times so I guess I didn’t hate it. 3.5 Stars

Layla And Other Assorted Love Songs by Derek & The Dominos
Jan 07 2026

Good album. Layla and Bell Bottom Blues are especially great and there are some great blues covers. Jimi’s original Little Wing is better. 3.5 but I’ll round up to 4

Electric Music For The Mind And Body by Country Joe & The Fish
Jan 08 2026

I know there is some deep sophistication in this album but it’s way over my head. I like psychedelic rock but I didn’t like this

Planet Rock: The Album by Afrika Bambaataa
Jan 09 2026

I love the cover of Rage Against the Machine’s “Renegades of Funk” 😝

25 by Adele
Jan 12 2026

What an amazing voice and old soul. Seem crazy that she was so young. The lyrics feel so mature… she has loved deeply, lost, and moved on. I knew the singles but sitting down to listen to the album front to back hits different.

Jagged Little Pill by Alanis Morissette
Jan 13 2026

Great album. Helped Gen X ladies get through breakups and made Gen X men. wonder if their girlfriends would go down on them in the theater. Although, I still prefer her 1991 self-titled debut.

Superfuzz Bigmuff by Mudhoney
Jan 15 2026

I didn’t love this album but I understand how influential it was as it was part of the birth of the Seattle scene and ushered in a whole new sound and style. Without this, would Nirvana, among others, have reached the same heights? I also sense this influenced other bands with big breakouts in the 90s outside the grunge scene (one song made me think of Metallica’s black album recorded two years later).

Come Find Yourself by Fun Lovin' Criminals
Jan 16 2026

I love the tune Scooby snacks. The rest of the album was mellow and chill. Not bad

Tusk by Fleetwood Mac
Jan 21 2026
Elephant by The White Stripes
Jan 23 2026
Be by Common
Jan 26 2026
Ghosteen by Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds
Jan 28 2026

that was depressing

One World by John Martyn
Jan 29 2026

Good album but not paticulaily amazing. I didn't love it, didn't hate it

Caetano Veloso by Caetano Veloso
Jan 30 2026

I actually kind of like this album. Looking into his history is even more interesting and it makes meo wish I spoke Portuguese. This album got the singer arrested and exiled from the country because his music was very much against the military regime.

Play by Moby
Feb 02 2026

Blues meets electronica. Great album.

OK Computer by Radiohead
Feb 03 2026

OK Computer just feels right every time I listen to it. The songs are moody and strange but still really catchy. Never gets old.

Fly Or Die by N.E.R.D
Feb 04 2026

I’m going to guess that this album won’t be popular with the group but I always loved NERD and I think this album is great.

Smash by The Offspring
Feb 05 2026

Come out and play is a good song and the whole album brings good nostalgia vibes but I wouldn’t say it’s *great*

Mott by Mott The Hoople
Feb 06 2026

Good album but it feels a little too Bowie-esque without seeming to bring much new to the style. It’s mild glam rock without all the Glam and characters (for better or worse).

Feb 09 2026

Great album but sometimes double albums feel a little too much. Drop a couple of weaker tracks and I’d give it 5-stars (looking at you Jamaica Jerk-Off)

Are You Experienced by Jimi Hendrix
Feb 10 2026

6 stars!! Start to finish an amazing album. If I had one critique it would be the over use of stereo panning. E.g. Foxey Lady has lead vocals panned 100% to the left channel and lead guitar pushed to the right. It’s a little over done.

Head Hunters by Herbie Hancock
Feb 16 2026

Groovy. I love the sound of a Rhodes piano

Back In Black by AC/DC
Feb 19 2026

Great album. Arena rock at its best.

From Elvis In Memphis by Elvis Presley
Feb 20 2026

I just really don’t like his voice. Some of the songs weren’t bad, but it would be better with a different singer. Eric Cartman‘s version of in the ghetto is much better.

Juju by Siouxsie And The Banshees
Feb 23 2026

Pretty good.

Feb 24 2026

The fact that this is widely considered one of the greatest jazz albums of all time is proof that I don’t really understand jazz music.

At Folsom Prison by Johnny Cash
Feb 25 2026

not bad for an old country album. listening closely to the lyrics for the first time it occurs to me that this is probably a pretty risky album in 1968.

Whatever by Aimee Mann
Feb 26 2026

Meh

The Gershwin Songbook by Ella Fitzgerald
Feb 28 2026

Great if you like Gershwin. Ella’s voice and styling is wonderful.

Hejira by Joni Mitchell
Mar 01 2026

She has a wonderful voice but the music just doesn’t vibe with me.

Histoire De Melody Nelson by Serge Gainsbourg
Mar 02 2026

This is real? I thought music like this only existed to satirize the French in movies.

Peggy Suicide by Julian Cope
Mar 04 2026

I don't know about this one. I didn't hate it but I didn't really like it either. 2.5 stars

Led Zeppelin II by Led Zeppelin
Mar 05 2026

One of my favourite albums ever. 6 stars!

Stankonia by OutKast
Mar 07 2026

there are a bunch of great songs on this album and many that I could do without. I'm also done with "interludes". drop about five songs and all the interludes and i would I give it another star

You're Living All Over Me by Dinosaur Jr.
Mar 08 2026

Pretty good pre-grunge sound and a big influence on the 90s rock sound.

Horses by Patti Smith
Mar 09 2026
The Slim Shady LP by Eminem
Mar 11 2026

Eminem rhymes are unstoppable. As I’ve aged the content of the lyrics doesn’t sit well with me but I still appreciate his delivery.

The Nightfly by Donald Fagen
Mar 12 2026

Yacht Rock at its finest.

Back To Black by Amy Winehouse
Mar 14 2026

Excellent album! Her voice is stunning, the songwriting is top-notch, and the production is brilliant.

Illinois by Sufjan Stevens
Mar 31 2026

I love this album. It was like nothing I had listened to when I first heard it and it pulled me right in. I wouldn't say the music has a happy tone to it but the album consistently lifts my mood and mellows me out. Great listen when things feel out of control

Pet Sounds by The Beach Boys
Apr 05 2026

Outstanding album that pushed pop music to a whole new level. Deep lyrically, complex musically, and expertly produced.

Jun 05 2026

This album surprise me. Great background music while I was working.

Elastica by Elastica
Jun 10 2026

Love this album.

Eagles by Eagles
Jul 10 2026

I thought this was going to be a five out of five but then there was only three good songs.
