1001 Albums Summary

We never listened to the whole album. Several songs were so familiar. Growing up, we all thought Black Sabbath was so hard and intense. No harder than the other bands at that time. Worth the listen. Ozzy's voice is very recognizable, but not as transporting or melodic as Robert Plant's. Rat Salad reminds me of Moby Dick. One of my new faves

Lil hippy dippy existential. Some songs have more of a beat and melody that I enjoy.

An album I’m familiar with but still found songs I hadn’t heard. Great drums and vocals. Classic

Never listened. The songs seemed familiar without ever hearing them before. Sultans of Swing is obviously the only one familiar on the album. Nice and chill tracks.

That was a fun album to hear. We've heard similar music, but these escaped us.

We are on the fence with this one. Some of the songs were decent and the others were lackluster. It can be said that you dont know what youre going to get with Alice Cooper

Absurd lyrics fitting into a "soundtracky" feeling album. Some of his ballads felt dreary. This album feels like an emanation for other musicians with similar sounds

I remember sitting in our living room listening to this album on the headphones with super thick curly cord to the hifi. This is the nostalgic shit. Love how they can sing about dark stuff and somehow make it feel whimsical. Oh Darling gives passion and emotion and is my fave track.

Melancholy. If he was aiming for us to feel beside him in his final hours, then he succeeded.
