i like the sound, the flow. However i couldnt get over the fact how he talks about women , it irked me and made it hard for me to listen

This rating is actually a 3.5. This is the second album by David Bowie I got listen to thanks to 1001 Albums and I am very grateful. He has amazing songs and like in Black Star: Bowie + Saxophone = perfection. There are so many parts in songs that I really liked.

It's a nice jazz album. Not the jazz i am used to but i really enjoyed listening to it. The instruments which were part of the arrangement surprised me at some parts but im also not so knowledgeable on how music was when this album came out. My favorite track was track c the part in the beginning is just stuck in my head. I would definitely listen to this album again

I really like this album. I think Elliott Smith has such a sad voice, that sounds weird, but it really fit the theme of the album and just made it so emotional and beautiful. Because it's such a sad album, I find it hard to listen to at all occasions, but when I'm in the mood for it's perfect and the best album for that situation.

I really like this album. I haven't listened too much David Bowie before this but I liked this album a lot. The jazz and rock elements were really nice, also since they are to of my favorite genres.

I'm not someone who usually listens to this kind of music. It has some really nice tracks that have a really nice "vibe" to it and are nice. The other tracks weren't necessarily bad, but didn't really stick out to me. It is nice to listen to in the background though.

While his songs are not bad I have a really hard time listening to his voice. It makes it hard to understand what he is saying and kind of ruins the listening experience for me. Instrumental and production wise the album is quite nice though.
