Fantastic album. Even the non-popular songs are pretty good. Bluesy with tons of great bass lines. Defines why Black Sabbath are 70s icons.
Oof. A beautiful last album but drastically different from what I know David Bowie to be. Lazarus and I Can't Give Everything Away stick out as monuments to his capability to make something weirdly beautiful.
One of the most complete albums I've ever listened to. Hate that I used to skip to all the singles. Momma is the only track I don't get. I'll always be excited to relisten to this album.
Loved that there was a sound that tied all the songs together but they were so different from each other. Definitely bummed I missed in the 90s but so glad I got to listen to it.
Great voice, but live jazz albums are tough for me. It's like a sports game. So much better actually being there. Hope to hear more from her. Fantastic artist.
Really solid album. Pretty jazzy without being too random. Can't wait to compare it to other names in Jazz.
Can't believe I missed this album. Never realized how many bangers are on this. Punk is by far my new favorite, but it is hard to pick. Not a fan of the remixes on the album.
Soooo good! The first disc has all the hits but the second disc has a bunch of great bluesy and riffy songs. Can't believe I've never checked out this album before. Fantastic inclusion!
Such an interesting album. It has some fun uplifting tunes and some heavier punk songs. TV Party and Six Pack are definitely bangers while the title track is very emotional and intense.
This was surprising good. I knew the single but there were a few tracks on the album that reminded me of Oasis. Not sure why it was included, but I'm happy I checked it out.
Very different album. Love the Tricky tracks and some of the driving synth. The tough thing is a lot of it sounded the same.
Tried not to judge it as a Hair Metal album. It definitely made me see the appeal of this era of music. Rock of Ages is a banger and same with Photograph. After that, it all kinda sounds the same, but not in a bad way. Also loved Too Late for Love.
Great album for having one unique sound. A fantastic sound but hard to differentiate the tracks. The title track and the last track are among my favorites. Super happy to listen to one of their full albums.
International Jet Set is one of the best finds in my experience with this project. The whole album has such different sounds from track to track. Enjoyed it thoroughly.
Fantastic instrumental album. So many recognizable riffs and tracks. Was able to just sit back and enjoy this one.
So much better than I thought it was going to be. Thought it was more a parody punk band but there were actual jams on it. Their version of Fever was amazing.
Love this album. So fantastic for a debut album. Such a fresh sound. The first three tracks are so hard to get through because you just want to repeat them ad nauseum. Glad it was included in the 1001.
Not my favorite album but definitely has some bangers. Layla, Bell Bottom Blues, and Thorn Tree in the Garden.
Amazing first track but that was tough cause I compared the rest of the album to it. Album definitely had a Supergrass sound to it.
Not my favorite album but I have respect for it. Cats love toys set to these beats. Cats might be more metal than we think.
Unique sounds but not my cup of tea. One track caught my ear but that was about it.
Love the synths on this album. Very dystopian. Obviously the first track is a banger but loved the vibe of the rest of the album.
Such a fantastic album. This shows what an amazing artist is capable of. Didn't know a single track but enjoyed every one. Stevie is one of the greatest.
Never really listened to Dolly before but man, she is so talented. Enjoyed every song on the album.
Not a fan. More than one Nick Drake songs is too much. He has such a unique sound and voice but too much of a good thing is rough. Loved the first song and Man in the Shed.
Love this album. So many hits I remember and other tracks that were pretty legit too.
Amazing album but not their best. Some favorite songs and definitely some interesting tracks. Loved When I'm Sixty-Four.
Great album. Loved hearing him cover some fantastic songs. When the Man Comes Around and Desperado among the best.
Loved the experimental vibe of this album. Obviously has the popular songs but the other tracks are so weirdly good.
Very mediocre save the couple of hits. I can't believe two Def Leppard albums made it on this list.
So many amazing tracks. I used to think I didn't like Wilco but this album completely changed my mind. Jesus Etc and I Am Trying to Break Your Heart were my faves.
Great vibey album. Not generally a dance music fan but loved how different each track was without losing the theme.
What can you really say about this iconic album? Listened to it a minimum of 3 times for this. Every track is amazing. Should have synced it with the Wizard of Oz.
Tough review. Love this album. So many different great beats and themes but Kanye has tainted listening to it.
Eh. Was looking forward to this album cause I've heard he was a music revolutionart but it fell short for me.
The album has a unique sound. It reminded me of when Ross from the show Friends would do his sound poems. Except a little better.
There a couple decent songs on it but most of it sounds like Kanye using his formulas too much. Really like Kick Push 2.
Such a fantastic moody album. Ballad Of Big Nothing is a great example of how Elliott Smith can write an upbeat song but still have it be sad.
Great album but not my jam. It felt something like something between the Inception soundtrack and music from Mr Roger's Neighborhood. Both things I love, but don't listen to a ton.
I don't even know what to say about this album. So many intense, dark feelings. By far one of the best albums in recent history. From Mr Self-Destruct to Hurt, almost every track is better than the last.
Very interesting album. Great 70's sound but hard to tell each track apart from one another. Would recommend to friends that love that era of music.
Loved this album. She is such a talent. Candyman and The Right Man were standouts. Generally, I hate a double album but this was a delight.
What an iconic album. So many hits and such a great theme. Truly show the ups and downs of being an American and American life.
Loved how different this album was. So many varied tracks but the different styles just blended well together. Diamond in Her Shoes and You Can Call Me Al are definitely the standouts.
Hard to say as a Nirvana fan, but this album is amazing. Tons of hits and an iconic sound.
It was okay. Captures that 90's indie vibe but a bit too on the nose. Darklands and About You were the standouts.
Phenomenal. Listened to it before but listened to it again...3 times. Groundbreaking, deep, weird, and beautiful. Even Fitter Happier is a banger. Electioneering and Climbing Up the Walls are my faves. Might listen to it one more time tonight.
Loved this album. Iconic CCR. So many hits it was too hard to pick favorites. The cover of Heard It Through the Grapevine is so amazing.
Loved this album but it was tough because I heard remixes of some the songs before listening to the originals. Heads Will Roll, Soft Shock, and Little Shadow were my faves.
Some classics but for some reason I remember it being a full album but ran into songs I felt I could skip. Loved the skit.
Not my favorite. Super long tracks that get repetitive and while the beats are amazing, I found myself waiting for the song to be over.
Too experimental for me. Definitely appreciated the sound this album created but never got into it.
Great album. So many hits on one record. While not my cup of tea, definitely respect the accomplishment.
Really great album. Loved the hits and some of his covers. Very glad I got to listen to it.
What an amazing hip-hop album. Made me remember how positive and fun rap could be. It's Nasty and the title track were standouts.
Very unexpected. Knew nothing of the band or their sound. Loved the poppiness and how it flowed from track to track. Laura, Mary and Dirty/Gorgeous were my standouts.
Great first album. Favorite tracks were Tyler, Burden of Shame and Madam Medusa, even though that last track ran a little long. UB40 had such a great light reggae sound.
Almost a 5 star album. The first 5 tracks are hits! Piece of Mind, Smokin' and More Than A Feeling are such jams.
Loved the sound of this album. The title track was my favorite. Long songs but they definitely made you dance after awhile.
Really enjoyed this album. The grooves, the accordion and the flamenco. The first track was my favorite.
Absolutely brilliant album. So many hits, so many good songs that weren't hits. This is TS at her best. Found myself singing Shake it Off all day.
Such an odd rap style but I liked it. Empty Cans, Such a Twat, and It Was Supposed to Be so Easy were my faves. Great beats and the rapper's unique rhythm made the album interesting.
3 bangers but couldn't stomach the rest of the album.
Great album but I enjoyed Born in the USA better. Some of the songs on this album that pair Bruce's voice with the piano really stand out to me. Really liked the title track and Jungleland.
Great album. Their sound is so classic. Loved how short the songs were. They would get a melody setup and end the song. Made to Love, So How Come, and Love Hurts were my faves.
This album brought back so many memories. I've never listened to the whole thing before. So many great tracks. The overall sound really gets you going. Smack My Bitch Up, Breathe and Firestarter are the obvious tracks. Serial Thrilla and Fuel My Fire were also bangers.
Not a fan. Loved her voice on her first album but this album didn't seem much different. Liked a couple of songs but unmoved by most of them. Greenlight and Homemade Dynamite.
Papa Was a Rolling Stone was by far the best track on the album. Loved the sound but really didn't get into the album.
The music on this album is amazing but the cartoony lyrics kind of diminished the overall appeal. Which is a bummer cause the drums and guitars on it are so fantastic.
What a great vibe album. So many great bests, rhymes and hooks. My faves were What's Golden, Freedom and Sum of Us. J5 should be way bigger than they are.
Classic! The whole album is just hit after hit. The Shine on You Crazy Diamonds songs are a tad long for my taste but still epic. Welcome to the Machine and Have a Cigar were my faves.
Woo doggie, what an album. The chants, the beats. Barely understood a word of the lyrics but vibes had me. Ponta de Lanca Africano and Taj Mahal were my faves.
