Nice live version of bb and band!
Interesting album during a down time for The Beach Boys career. Nothing outstanding to me upon first listen!
Music is ok, new to me band, not itching to dig deeper
Drums! I personally don’t listen to a lot of prog rock but enjoyed this album and may explore more of The Mars Volta in the future (added one song to Random Songs in my Head playlist on Spotify)!
I like that the album is based on a short story written by the lead singer Cedric Bixler-Zavala!
Enjoyable album if you like folk/country! Interesting selection of
writers/song selections! Linda Ronstadt sings backup on Shel Silverstein’s “Queen of the Silver Dollar”. A fun highlight for me!
2003 remaster album has a song titled Hank & Lefty, new to me and will revisit from time to time!
I’d welcome more music by Emmylou if in the mood for some twang!
Enjoyable reggae and you can never go wrong with 3 little birds! 🥰
Not my usual style of musical taste but I enjoyed this album and added Kracked to my Spotify playlist.
I learned about “noise rock” from Wiki while looking more into this band and tried to notice how the songs fit into that subgenre while listening to the album.
Enjoy and happy listening! 🙂
I’ve enjoyed the Beatles and know most of the popular songs due to listening to classic rock radio through the years.
That being said, this was a fun listen and there are a few songs on the album I don’t think I’ve heard before.
I recently attended a George Harrison Tribute show in DC (Jackie Greene, Steve Kimock and others) and was happy to hear Within you Without out which was played at the show. I recall one of my favorite bands (Tedeschi Trucks Band) covers this song as well and will revisit the cover soon!
The Beatles had a huge influence on musical history during and beyond their time as a band and I tend to appreciate learning more about music history and such!
Happy listening all!
New to band, gave the album two play throughs during work, no songs really stood out to me but I appreciate being able to explore the music and the bit of information I read on Wikipedia about the band, this album, and the lead singer David Thomas. Unclear if I’ll revisit this band personally.
Enjoying the sounds from the first song “Janie Jones”, not a huge punk listener typically.
Fast songs with a bit of 50/60’s oldies style, it seems.
Fun listen! I’d revisit this album and I’ve added 2 songs to my random playlist!
I’ll revisit this album as I enjoyed the instrumental sounds! Wasn’t able to look into much info about the band or album while listening this time.
New it me band! Easy listening album, lead singers voice and the musical sounds remind me of the Beatles. I added a couple of songs to my random songs list and enjoyed the album overall.
Happy listening!
Fast sounding punk album, not my typical selection but don’t dislike the sound! Recorded at Abbey Road Studios is a fun history tidbit! Not likely to revisit the album personally.
Quite a fun album for me as I tend to enjoy thrash metal! New to me band and I may explore more of their music in the future. I’m curious how much they were on Metallica and similar bands’ radar due to similar type music.
Happy listening!
I’ve enjoyed a good bit of Led Zeppelin in the past and this one is a solid album.
Kashmir & Bron-Yr-Aur are standouts for myself. I don’t tend to gravitate toward Led Zeppelin’s music these days for various reasons, however I do not discount their influence on many artists or rock and roll as a whole.
Happy listening!
Decent prog rock album to me, not a huge overran of Yes, but I did enjoy most of this album.
I’d like some of the instrumentals to be longer but that’s the jamband / improv fan of me coming out.
Happy listening all!
Enjoyable first listen.
I’m aware of Billy Bragg with his Mermaid Album / Wilco collab and enjoy California Stars immensely.
I’d revisit this album and possibly explore more of Billy’s work.
Happy listening all!
Interesting concept album from The Kinks. Last album to have the original kinks lineup was an interesting trivia note for myself.
Songs felt fairly quick and I was able to process some of the lyrics upon first listen. Not likely I’ll revisit the album itself or more of The Kinks music but I appreciate thee exposure and what I read about the album from Wikipedia.
Happy listening all!
Fun listen! I’m not aware of too much from Elvis Costello but I’d visit his work a bit more after hearing this album!
Red Shoes was a highlight for me from the album! Happy listening all!
Decent listen for today. I’ve heard most of these songs throughout my life due to classic rock radio and being familiar with Boston!
I enjoyed the bit I read from wiki about this album and what Bwck went through for these songs. The Golden Age & Lost Cause were highlights for me.
Unclear if I’ll explore more of Becks work but I enjoyed the opportunity and exposure to this album.
Sumthin’ wicked this way comes was a highlight for me. Enjoyed the album overall and may revisit some of TLC’s catalog in the future.
Happy listening all!
Punk isn’t a genre I gravitate towards typically, however I’m familiar with Bad Brains due to them being a DC staple. Enjoyed the album and may revisit Bad Brains work in the future. Interesting to me reading about all the ways Bad Brains influenced other artists and the impact this album had on the music scene.
Another punk album! Not super familiar with The Stooges work but enjoyed listening to this album while working on Friday. Raw Power was a stand out for me.
Happy listening all!
Rush!!! Enough said! Great album and enjoyed the listening while working!
Happy listening all!
I found out is a highlight so far and I’m familiar with Working Class Hero from Gov’t Mule/Warren Haynes.
Enjoyable album from Lennon and I’d likely go back to some of Lennon’s other solo work!
Quick punk album, nothing stood out personally to me.
New to me band but I was aware of the box tops and “The Letter” due to Joe Cocker.
Easy listening album and I’d explore more of their work.
Really enjoyed listening to and learning about all the musicians / producers that had a part in making this album. Somewhat familiar with Adele due to her popularity over the past 15-18 years or so and like what I know from her music.
Rolling in the deep, Set fire to the rain, & He won’t go were a few standouts for me.
I’ll probably visit some of Adele’s other work and will keep some of the songs from 21 in mind as good listens!
Happy listening all! 🥰
I enjoyed the 2nd album by ATCQ What! & Excursions were stand outs for me.
Familiar with Donovan from Season of the Witch, rest of the album did not particularly strike any chords with me.
