Espresso + a gallon of water

Get a different singer please. His "ooohs" had me cringing lol the instrumentals were awesome.

En-Tact by The Shamen
Jun 11 2026

The beats were great! Not a huge fan of the vocals, kind of cheesey, but the beats were awesome!

Gorillaz by Gorillaz
Jun 13 2026

I'm a fan of the Gorillaz, genius mixing elements of rock and hip hop, one of the first to do it. This album is very punk. 5/4 was prob my fav song. The rest of the songs have a similar feel but are different in their own ways. Heavy drums and bass are consistent. The overall vibe and rhythm of the album is like going to party, drinking too much, and waking up again to party again.

Black Sabbath by Black Sabbath

Solid rock album, the guitar solo at the end of wicked World was awesome

Peggy Suicide by Julian Cope
Jun 15 2026

Each was song is unique and interesting. When I thought the singing were lacking, the instruments stepped in and picked up the slack. Solid musicians. Lyrics weren't my cup of tea. 3 stars because I wouldn't pick up this album again to listen, personally, but I appreciate the art.

xx by The xx
Jun 16 2026

I am biased, I love The XX. Used to listen them and Jamie XX (the producer) a ton in my 20's. The minimalist sound is intentional. Listen to Jamie XX's album "In Color" if your interested in understand the range of talent he has. One of the best intros to an album. The duets, the music, and the lyrics are simply beautiful. I used to blast "Fantasy" in my CRV to feel that bass. No other band sounds like them, and this album was an amazing launching point for the XX and Jamie XX.

Objectively, Kanye is an incredible musician and producer, and this album proves it. I personally like the Yeezus album over this one, but there's no denying how impressive this album is: we're still rocking out to Power and Runaway. 4 stars 😎

Honky tonk! I appreciated it, maybe I'll listen to it when I'm down.

Meat Is Murder by The Smiths
Jul 25 2026

Great instrumentals! Meat is Murder, the song, was quite heavy. Good album

Blackstar by David Bowie
Jul 26 2026

Love this album. David wrote this before he died. Inspired by Kendrick Lamars To Pimp a Butterfly

Axis: Bold As Love by Jimi Hendrix

This Year's Model by Elvis Costello & The Attractions

I listened to this earlier this year! I really want to like elvis costello because he was in Austin Powers. I love the guitar, and the melodies are unique, and there's no doubt he's super talented... but I feel like the music would be that much better if there was a different singer.

Wild Is The Wind by Nina Simone

All the songs sounded the same to me tbh, but great vocals.
