Popular Reviews

Protection by Massive Attack

Nothing “must hear” in this album. I find no reason why this album would make the list. 1/5

Duck Stab/Buster & Glen by The Residents

My Gawd this is a hard one to rate. I have never heard of The Residents. I did not know what to expect. I wouldn’t call it music. I wouldn’t buy it. I wouldn't recommend this to others. But this album made me create images in my head to fit the sounds I was hearing. This album evoked emotions with its rhythmic patterns and voices. Oddly, I found myself liking it. And that’s how I can confirm that I am weird. 3/5

New Forms by Roni Size

There is no universe or reality in which this is an essential album. It does nothing well and is not unique or memorable. 78 minutes of the same mediocre d&b beat over and over again. 1/5

After The Gold Rush by Neil Young
Jun 13 2026

Uncle Neil on day one. We are off to a good start. I’m familiar with a few songs but I’ve never listed to this album end-to-end until today.

Highway to Hell by AC/DC
Jun 17 2026

I enjoyed listening to this album while driving. I was only familiar with the title track but found I enjoyed a couple of the riffs and beats. I doubt I’d buy this or recommend to a friend though. 3/5.

25 by Adele
Jun 18 2026

The best thing to emerge from MySpace: Adele Not a bad song on this album. Adele at 25 could sing the names in a phone book and I would melt. My first 5/5 on this 1001/1089 Album journey.

Fun House by The Stooges
Jun 19 2026

I made it through the whole album but I didn’t enjoy it.

Figure 8 by Elliott Smith
Jun 20 2026

“NOW” Must artists be tortured souls in order to produce greatness? ~Just some dude with a stilted attitude that I learned from TV

Duck Stab/Buster & Glen by The Residents

Highly Evolved by The Vines
Jun 22 2026

Not really my cup of tea. I wanted to like this album but couldn’t find anything I related to enough to enjoy. I would give it a listen at a later date.

Siamese Dream by The Smashing Pumpkins
Jun 27 2026

Not the best album from The Smashing Pumpkins, but it’s still very good.

Eternally Yours by The Saints
Jun 28 2026

I appreciate being exposed to The Saints. But I’m not likely to listen again nor recommend to others.

Jul 01 2026

Why did this album make the list? I’ve heard better white noise. Waste of my time.

The Stranger by Billy Joel
Jul 03 2026

This is the type of album that I expect to find on a list of must hear albums. 5/5

Master Of Puppets by Metallica
Jul 04 2026

I have the need. The need for speed. It’s not the black album that puts Metallica on EVERYONE’s radar. It’s better. ~Orion 5/5

Sheet Music by 10cc
Jul 06 2026

Another album that really doesn’t fit my description for an album I must hear.

Walking Wounded by Everything But The Girl
Jul 23 2026

Perfect for when you want to feel what it was like to try on jeans at the Gap or Banana Republic in the late '90's. 2/5

Can't Buy A Thrill by Steely Dan
Jul 26 2026

This album is best listen to with really good headphones or a really good stereo system. Otherwise it will sound like elevator music to most.

Under Construction by Missy Elliott
Jul 27 2026

DJ, please. Pick up your phone. I’m on the request line… 5/5

Slipknot by Slipknot
Aug 05 2026
