1001 Albums Summary

Neil Young is not one of my favorites, so this isn't the best start. I'm glad I listened to this all the way through and it's fine, but it didn't convert me.

There's a great single-disc album here.

This is an album! Oh yeah! 5/5

I get why it's here, but it's not for me.

Just great. Dylan at his peak.

One great song on a mediocre album.

Right up Nana's alley.

Too much a hat on a hat. Most of the tracks are a little bit too long.

The second half is so much better than the first half. They won me over.

I'm still not converted. It's fine, but I could live without it.

Not for me. Background music for some annoying restaurant. This one can disappear forever.

Crunchy good fun!

Roll up, roll up! We got yer dark, goth-y '80s, right here!

oof. There's a lot here.

This is of a time in a good way.

A bit too long but still has some bangers.

Perfect. Just goddam perfect.

Folky folk stuff.

It feels like a date with someone you don't really connect with.

If it's good enough for Beavis, it's good enough for me.

Oh my heart!

My first real album; still has my heart.

Fine but inessential.

Another fine but non-essential album. The picking process remains a mystery.

Yes, sir, I'll take it!

It's fine but I wanted more.

This POS.

Oh yeah! Clap hands for this one.

meh.

A good album that lacks emotion.

Whatever. Nonessential bullshit.

The start of something really interesting but not quite there.

Cure's gonna Cure.

Looser and lighter than "Back to Black" but not as deep emotionally.

Much better than expected.

I get why it's here, but I don't get it enough to really love it.

A pleasant surprise!

More Neil. Come on, Randomizer; you're not converting me by overwhelming me.

I don't know if I can get past this voice and accent.

More, please. I can't believe we get only one by Sam Cooke and three by Blur.

Obviously great stuff here.

It's fine. It's not going to change you, but it won't hurt you either.

It’s got a lot of great things happening but they’re not quite there yet.

Just solid classic country.

Even better than I thought it might be. Perfection.

Better than I expected but not perfect.

Nice but not earth shattering.

It's fine. It's Bowie. I want more.

This just fits into my DNA.

This is my favorite album. My very favorite. I will hear no argument.

The best Dylan.

Weirdly, a lot like Devo.

Bullshit noise. Throw it into the sun. I feel bad for my other 1-star albums because they're far superior to this.

A welcome relief from yesterday's bullshit.

Video game music.

Ah, yes. Fight me about Paul.

Excellent for what it is, but I'm not sure I need a whole album of it.

One great song surrounded by meh.

I wish it was Soft Cell.

Really good but not great.

Solid stuff here but doesn't quite crossover into great.

Goddam right!

Uneven Paul Simon is still pretty damn great.

I don't give extra stars to men who take advantage of kids.

This is not my thing. And a double album is really not for me.

Hey now -- wooh!

I'm good, thanks. A bullshit version of Prince.

I prefer the debut. No need for extra on this list.

Mother, mother...

Dreamy and interesting and puzzling.

What a lovely discovery!

Whatever, list.

Soundtrack music. Good soundtrack music, but just background stuff.

Really fabulous guitar playing that bored the shit out of me.

This one pleases me.

Yes, Lisa.

Excellent musicians but didn't excite me.

Almost too perfect.

"Good" Genesis is still kind of boring. Too long.

Good stuff, but not quite great.
