1001 Albums Summary

My first album for the list... This was also my first exposure to The Rolling Stones as a whole. I think this is a fantastic way to start it! 01. Brown Sugar An incredible song with lyrics that somehow age like fine wine. It's not only a commentary of the past & present, but also of the future. 02. Sway A really beautiful song, with a gorgeous chorus. Really love it. I really enjoyed the simpler sound. 03. Wild Horses My personal favorite from the album. Really beautiful instrumentation, paired with some really pretty vocals; especially on the chorus. 04. Can't You Hear Me Knocking A fuckin' banger. Simple as that. That chorus is so sick. 05. You Gotta Move Personally not my kind of vibe. I have a friend who loves this song, but I just don't care really anything about it. Personal least favorite. 06. Bitch Was a fine one. Really enjoyed the chorus, but the verses themselves I wasn't impressed with too much. Still, I enjoyed it. 07. I Got The Blues A fine blues track. Didn't blow me away. I did enjoy the verses quite a lot, but the instrumentation and chorus are very lackluster. 08. Sister Morphine This is kick-ass. Really sick verses, with a badass chorus. It does feel like it's run-time, and to me personally, that's a negative. 09. Dead Flowers That second verse is my favorite verse off the whole album, second to none. That chorus is infectious, and is an incredible song. Second favorite. 10. Moonlight Mile A fantastic way to cap off the album, but I don't know how to feel about it on its own. Still a great song, but only for the album experience of it. This is a great album. It's not my favorite rock album, hell not even my favorite 70's album. But as an introduction to The Rolling Stones, I do want more.

Okay. ABBA. I grew up in an ABBA hating household. No one in my family likes ABBA. Me on the other hand... Eh, I thought it was alright. 01. When I Kissed The Teacher I fucking hate songs like this. Really creepy, and I never understood the trend in the 70's of this kind of lyrics. 02. Dancing Queen Come on; it's Dancing Queen. Everyone loves this song. Timeless song. 03. My Love, My Life A really big banger! I really enjoyed this track! 04. Dum Dum Diddle Really fun, can't be mad at it. One of my personal favorites. 05. Knowing Me, Knowing You Was really nice, if anything forgettable. 06. Money, Money, Money A really unique track! Nothing else here sounds like this, and I really appreciate it for so! 07. That's Me I just heard it this and forgot about it. It's not bad, just forgettable. 08. Why Did It Have To Be Me? Really nice to hear a different vocalist. A cool track, but not one of my favorites. 09. Tiger My personal least favorite. The vocalists just aren't threatening, so it comes off really corny. 10. Arrival A cool instrumental track to finish it off, if a little too dramatic for my liking. I get that this album (and ABBA as a whole) is more of a band to just have fun with. I can get behind that kind of stuff, but this just wasn't my cup of tea. Sorry!

I say this when I mean it. This is one of the most beautiful albums I've ever heard. 01. Intro It sets the mood. It doesn't do anything really, but is really nice. 02. Svefn-g-englar Anyone who has heard this album knows how beautiful this song is. Beautiful lyrics, and some absolutely incredible production. It fills its 10 minute run-time to great benefit. 03. Starálfur Another gorgeous track. I have NO idea what the lyrics are talking about, but the song is so beautiful that I low-key don't care. 04. Flugufrelsarinn It took a few listens to understand this one; but when I did the song actually made me cry. Compliments the production immensely. 05. Ný Batterí The blow up of the production in the second half literally left my mouth open! Also some incredible lyrics, per usual. 06. Hjartað Hamast (Bamm Bamm Bamm) This track is qutie eerie to me; in a good way! The first half gave me chills. 07. Viðrar Vel Til Loftárása Unsetting throughout. The title alone is spooky, but pairing that with the music goes to another level. 08. Olsen Olsen Personal least favorite, but is still great! I really despise when people use faux-lyrics (such as this or Cocteau Twins), but the vocals are so in the background for this that I didn't mind it too much. 09. Ágætis Byrjun The title track, and my personal favorite from the album. Such a lush song, with some tear-jerking and beautiful lyrics. 10. Avalon A nice instrumental to cap off this ride of an album. Take a shot each time I wrote beautiful or a synonym of it.

A really sweet album... in a sense. I love the sound in general! 01. Tears Of Rage A strangely sad song to start off the album, which I love! It's not my favorite by any means, but I adore these lyrics. 02. To Kingdom Come My least favorite. It just doesn't fit the vibe of the rest of the album at all. Also weakest lyrics of the bunch as well. 03. In A Station Has some great vocal deliveries. A great instrumental too. 04. Caledonia Mission A really forgettable one, even if it sounds great. 05. The Weight An absolute BANGER. I can feel later influences even today from this song! 06. We Can Talk My personal favorite. That hook is PHENOMENAL, and the verses are fun! 07. Long Black Veil A very sad sounding song, but the actual lyrics are just alright. 08. Chest Fever A really funky one, surprisingly! And I love it too! 09. Lonesome Suzie My favorite lyrics of the album, and in my opinion one of the best. 10. This Wheel's On Fire Mostly just an alright one. It's definitely still a great song, just not my cup of tea per say. 11. I Shall Be Released I like it enough. Cool closer. The album ends off a bit meh, but tracks 4 to 9 are absolutely incredible! If the beginning and end were more memorable, I would definitely give this a five.

A very sexy album; and I don't use that word lightly. 01. That Lady A killer opener. One of the best too! An absolute must hear for anyone reading this. 02. Don't Let Me Be Lonely Tonight It's softer, and could be to it's detriment. I still love the song, just not one of my favorites. 03. If You Were There Meh. Kinda of boring to me, honestly. 04. You Walk Your Way I see the appeal, just not for me. 05. Listen To The Music Okay, I got scared for a second because the songs were slowly getting weaker and weaker. Thank GOD this showed up, because this is awesome! One of the best here, and one of the catchiest. 06. What It Comes Down To The sexiest of the songs, no competition. 07. Sunshine (Go Away Today) A weirdly sad song. I don't care it's a cover, this is still awesome 08. Summer Breeze My personal favorite here. Everything about this song is spectacular! The vocals, the chorus, the instrumentation, everything!! 09. The Highways Of My Life Of course we had to end on a sadder song. I absolutely love these lyrics, and that instrumentation is bang-on. I wish this was longer. If it had a few more songs and the middle portion was stronger, this would be a five!

This is a rare case of actually thinking this belongs on the list... without me caring for it too much. 01. Happiness Is Easy Goes on a bit too long. If it ended about 2 minutes earlier, I would've liked it more. 02. I Don't Believe In You Really love the chorus! I think this is an excellent song. Even if it's not my favorite. 03. Life's What You Make It It doesn't get more 80's than this. It's like this was made for the 80's, and no other time pediod. 04. April 5th I really love the chilling are eerie vocal delivery on this one! Could have done without the last minute, but that's alright. 05. Living In Another World Finally, a more up-tempo song! I enjoy this a lot, and don't mind the long run-time! 06. Give It Up Really forgettable. Wasn't bad, just didn't do anything for me. 07. Chameleon Day My favorite. It's just so haunting and eerie. Haven't heard another song like this in a while. 08. Time It's Time Is a fine closer. Didn't really do it for me as a song, however. I don't care for the lead vocalist at all here. I think a lot of the performances had TOO much effort put in, making it sound silly sometimes. Exceptions being April 5th and Chameleon Day. Overall, it's fine.

Okay, I might be a little bit of a slut for electronic music. 01. Forever Reminds me a lot of Aphex Twin, who I love! Not a second is wasted! 02. I Wish I Had Duck Feet A really weird bass line. Weird sounds throughout the entirety of it, mattery of fact. And in a rare case, not to the songs benefit. 03. Sad But True Really fuckin' cool!!!! Especially the second half. It's like an electronic metal song!!! 04. Crash And Carry Only complaint is that it's not long enough! This goes really hard, then just ends. Wish it had another minute or two. 05. Science Friction I didn't care for this one at first, but it really grew on me! The second half is insane! 06. Philosophy By Numbers I honestly didn't care for this one for most of its run-time. But the last two minutes absolutely stole the show. Was really cool. 07. Kein Trink Wasser It's not necessarily a bad song, but just really boring this far in on the album. 08. Quality Seconds HOLY. FUCK. For just a minute and a half, you can get an absolutely INCREDIBLE track! MUST listen. 09. Are We Here? Runs its length perfectly. No complains. The drums are awesome, the synth is awesome, and the vocals half-way through are heavenly. Love it all. My favorite. 10. Attached Kind of went out on a weak fart. Is my least favorite. Not bad, but SUPER underwhelming. Especially after 'Are We Here?'. I really want to give this five stars, I do. But there are a few duds that leave me wanting more. Is this a perfect album? Hell no, not even close. But if doesn't want to make you dance, you have bigger fish to fry.

Hey! This is the first album I've generated that I've actually heard before doing this list! 01. Five Years A superbly beautiful song. Holds up incredibly 02. Soul Love Not as much as into this as the opener, but still a killer song in its own right! The chorus is *chef's kiss*. 03. Moonage Daydream Took a while for me to get into this one, but this is great! The instrumentation is spectacular, and the vocals are sick! 04. Starman Legendary in every sense of the word. 05. It Ain't Easy No one made anything like this in the 70's. Back then, nothing sounded like this. 06. Lady Stardust As a man who wears make-up a lot, I fuck wit' this. Really great message, and finally an introduction to our main character truly. 07. Star The weakest so far, but is still fantastic! You know it's good when one of the weakest tracks is incredible still. 08. Hang On To Yourself Personal least favorite. Is still good, just was never a fan of the faux-verses. 09. Ziggy Stardust Once again, legendary. Absolutely killer song. I still prefer Starman, but this is phenomenal. 10. Suffragette City I wouldn't be adding anything. Everyone knows how incredible this song is. I won't waste my breath. 11. Rock 'N' Roll Suicide Like, come on. It's Rock 'N' Roll Suicide. I have no words. Do I even need to explain why this album is so legendary? No. So I won't.

This is my first time hearing Elvis... ever. I come into it with a bit of bias, as I didn't like him as a person. But we'll see how he actually is. 01. Make Me Know It Just a fun lil' song. I have a feeling that's gonna be this whole album. 02. Fever I honestly really love this. It's very Sinatra-esque, and I like this softer track! 03. The Girl Of My Best Friend This is on the radio of the BBQ restaurant I work at. I'm sick of it. 04. I Will Be Home Again I really appreciate the acoustic guitar of this track, love it a lot. Song itself is fine. 05. Dirty, Dirty Feeling Love how fast-paced and exciting this is! The lyrics are disgusting though. 06. Thrill Of Your Love Real generic, even for the time. Don't care for this one. 07. Soldier Boy It's just Trill Of Your Love, but it now has a soldier! I get that he was in the military, and so this song probably has some deeper meaning behind it, but honestly I just didn't care. You have to make me care, Elvis. 08. Such A Night Was just kind of alright... THEN THE CHORUS HIT. Is really fun, even if the actual writing is super lazy. 09. It Feels So Right By far my favorite instrumentation so far. Probably my favorite vocal performance too! 10. The Girl Next Door Went A'Walking Fairly basic, but undoubtably catchy as a motherfucker. 11. Like A Baby Love the sleazy sounding saxaphone, and is fun to see the comparison between love and babies. Otherwise, is just okay. 12. Reconsider, Baby If you told me this had the same backing instrumentation as Like A Baby, I would almost believe you. I'm not sure what I WAS expecting, but I was still disappointed. I don't personally think he's a great singer, so I have no clue how he blew up the way he did. Of course, I'm an 08' baby, so it was a bit of a time gap between then and now. But personally, I was underwhelmed.

I've been wanting to listen to Incubus for a little while now, more specifically their S.C.I.E.N.C.E. album. I never got around to it, and this is now my first introduction to the band! 01. Privilege A fine intro. Doesn't blow me away, but I enjoyed it. I really like the lyrics. 02. Nowhere Fast I really love the instrumentation on this, but I really dislike the vocals! Especially on the chorus. I really wanna like this too... 03. Consequence My favorite so far, but it's still just kind of fine. I gave it a heart, and has the best vocal performance so far. 04. The Warmth You know I just don't think I care for the vocalist of Incubus. Despite this, I really liked this one. Not mind blowing, but is still good. 05. When It Comes This song made me realize why I don't care for the vocalist. It sounds like a rip-off Brad Nowell. Anyways, song is pretty good! Great instrumentation, and the vocals are better on this than any other track so far! Lyrics are boring, though. 06. Stellar There's a reason this is one of the most famous, huh? This is great! 07. Make Yourself This is actually awesome! Weird for this to be the title track, but I'm not complaining. 08. Drive I had an "Oh, it's THIS song!". This is great, no complaints. Best off the album. 09. Clean This is a rare instance of having to get used to the vocalists voice. I know don't nearly mind it as much. Or perhaps these are just better songs. Either way, this shit slaps. 10. Battlestar Scralatchica Cool nu-metal instrumental. Very bassy. Fuck wit' it. 11. I Miss You Very sentimental track. I feel like he means the words, which is the best you can do as an artist! 12. Pardon Me Another "Oh, it's THAT song!". Although I don't care for it as much as Drive, I still REALLY like this! 13. Out From Under A real wet fart of an ending. Least favorite from the album by a mile. I get the lyrics, but just a weird sounding song. Now, I go off of these on a one-listen basis. I usually listen to albums on three listens, but for this challenge, I only do one (because I have a job). On multiple listens, I can see myself enjoying this MUCH more, especially the beginning. But for now, it starts and ends with the weakest songs. The run from When It Comes to Pardon Me is INCREDIBLE, but the rest I could take or leave. On peer review, (and a relisten with my friends) I do enjoy this a LOT more. I still think a lot of the lyrics are corny, but they could be worse. A two star went to four.

First time listening to Neil Young. As I went through the list, I noticed he has a LOT of albums here. I think about seven. So I hope I like this, or this is gonna be rough. 01. My My, Hey Hey (Out Of The Blue) Really enjoyed. Not much to say about it, was good. 02. Thrasher Honestly really boring. Wasn't impressive. I didn't dislike it, it just left me bored. 03. Ride My Llama Favorite so far. This is definitely going to be a slower album, and I'm fine with that. Just a weird song. 04. Pocahontas I didn't care for the lyrics, but the best instrumentation so far. Still just sort of alright. 05. Sail Away Was fine. Inoffensive. 06. Powderfinger Took a while for me to be into it, but I eventually came around. Still don't love it, but I appreciate it. 07. Welfare Mothers I can't tell if this is suppose to be bashing or uplifting mothers on welfare. I like the instrumentation, but the lyrics are really wack to me. 08. Sedan Delivery There's enough slow here, just keep it fast paced the whole time! I didn't mind this, actually quite liked it. Just found it a bit boring. 09. Hey Hey, My My (Into The Black) A better version of the opener. Overall, I preferred the first half, a lot more. Although it was close, as I didn't much care for this. Like it was fine, but stuff before this is much better than this, in my opinion.

I've never heard The White Stripes before, the most is when I saw a CD of Elephant at Walmart. I hope I love this, because I've always wanted to get into them. 01. Blue Orchid Really creative, and cool song! Love that guitar work! The cymbals throughout are also real cool! 02. The Nurse So bizarre. The vocal performance, the off-tempo drum beats, the marimba, all of it! I honestly kind of like how weird it is. 03. My Doorbell On the hook, I had to make sure my headphones were plugged in properly. Not the biggest fan of this one, but I do like it. 04. Forever For Her (Is Over For Me) I've heard this somewhere... Anyways, this is pretty good. Not outrageous, but pretty good! 05. Little Ghost Reminds me of Learnin' To Love by Ween. If you like this (like I do) check out that song! 06. The Denial Twist My favorite so far! I really loved everything about this song, and I think this is the best on all fronts so far! 07. White Moon Very strange, once again. I'm not sure if I hate or love this, so this is very middle of the road for me. 08. Instinct Blues A damn good... well, blues song. Favorite vocal work so far! 09. Passive Manipulation Short, simple, to the point. 10. Take, Take, Take A really simple story that sounds way cooler because of the song. I love this! 11. As Ugly As I Seem Just kind of fine. I like that it's drumless. 12. Red Rain That guitar RIIPPPPSSSSS. The vocals are great too! I don't care for the actual lyrics though, so it can only get to high. 13. I'm Lonely (But I Ain't That Lonely Yet) Very pretty piano, and the lyrics are great. Great closer. A very unique album! I loved (nearly) every track here! I'm still only giving it three stars though, as it didn't blow me away or want me wanting me afterwards like other four stars. Still, this was fun.

I'm never heard Tim Buckley OR Jeff Buckley. From what I've seen however, is that this is Tim's lowest rated album on here. I'm scared that it will leave a bit of a bad taste for the other Tim Buckley albums, but here's to the best. 01. Move With Me Way more jazzy than I was expecting! I really like this opener! Funny third verse lol. 02. Get On Top Second best song about eating pussy, right behind I Will by Danny Brown. This one goes on a bit way too long. 03. Sweet Surrender The best singing so far. I love the chorus a lot. 04. Nighthawkin' A very... interesting song. It sounds great, but the lyrics are pretty awful. 05. Devil Eyes Not as good of a song about having wet sex. It's still fine, but we already have Get On Top. 06. Hong Hong Bar It feels unfinished. I get what he was going for, it just misses the mark for me, sorry. Goes on WAY too long, especially for how rough it sounds. 07. Make It Right A fine ending. Really kinky. :3 A very horny album; and that's to its detriment. It's TOO horny. Basically every song is about sex. And it gets really repetitive near the end.

OH WOW I DIDN'T EXPECT TO GET SUCH A GREAT ALBUM SO SOON!!! This is an album I've thought was perfect for a LONG time! 01. Be (Intro) It's legendary for a reason. Beautiful instrumental, with an absolutely killer flow!! 02. The Corner (feat. The Last Poets) I never cared for the chorus too much, but those verses are flawless. 03. GO! Despite not sounding it, this is one of the sexiest songs ever made. 04. Faithful Just beautiful. Incredible lyrics, luscious beat. 05. Testify Extremely unique song! It's incredible, one of my favorites. 06. Love Is... So soothing. Everything about this song is simply perfect. 07. Chi-City If the chorus was better this would be another flawless track. Fortunately, these verses are nuts. 08. The Food (Live) Better than the studio version lol. 09. Real People Has unfortunately always been my least favorite. It's still great, but doesn't even begin to compare to the rest of the album. 10. They Say (feat John Legend, Kanye West) Couldn't be smoother. 11. It's Your World (Part 1 & 2) Perfect in every way. The second half makes me cry. I love you, Common. :') If you couldn't infer, I personally find this album perfect. No question.

I've heard The Cardigans name is passing, but I don't think I've actually heard the music before. 01. Your New Cuckoo A really great opener! Addicting pop rock, with a great vocalist and some great instrumentation. 02. Been It I really love these verses! The chorus is a little strange, but I forgive it for the catchiness. 03. Heartbreaker My favorite song far! This is strangely beautiful, and yet so eerie. 04. Happy Meal II Least favorite so far, but still real good! Just kind of samey to me. 05. Never Recover A very jazzy feel, and I love it! Favorite verses so far! 06. Step On Me God damn... This shit made me cry lol. 07. Lovefool So fucking classic. Plus, it's great! Who can deny this? 08. Losers That chorus left me agape in more ways than one. 09. Iron Man One of the most interesting covers I've ever heard. It's not better than the original, but it's still damn good. 10. Great Divide One of the weaker tracks... and it's still absolutely incredible. 11. Choke Awesome lyrics, immaculate instrumentation. This is a wonderful first impression!! This does something no other album has done yet; made me wanna hear more of them!! This is badass!!!

I've known this album for a long time. Was actually one of the first full hip-hop albums I've heard! Now, I've never been the biggest fan, but also not the biggest hater. 01. Intro Contender for lamest and most useless intro ever. 02. What Up Gangsta REALLY grew on me. Used to really hate it, but now I really enjoy it! Just fun! 03. Patiently Waiting (feat. Eminem) Has always been one of my favorite collaboration tracks in hip-hop! They both went OFF. 04. Many Men (Wish Death) Absolute classic. Incredible track, no notes. 05. In Da Club Come on, it's In Da Club. 06. High All The Time Pretty funny due to the fact that 50 Cent does not in fact, smoke. Anyways, pretty good! 07. Heat Super interesting instrumental that I really love! Fun flow, too! 08. If I Can't Another classic! That chorus is infectious. 09. Blood Hound (feat. Young Buck) This is not very good! Irritating instrumental, with some really annoying verses and flows. 10. Back Down A great diss track, that manages to be super fun. 11. P.I.M.P. Another classic. Although I personally don't enjoy this one as much as the others. 12. Like My Style (feat. Tony Yayo) Super, super forgettable. I literally just listened to this, and forgot it. 13. Poor Lil Rich Weird irritating. Don't care for it at all. 14. 21 Questions (feat. Nate Dogg) The only "personal" song here. It benefits from that fact, being one of the best tracks here. 15. Don't Push Me (feat. Lloyd Banks, Eminem) Really fun song, but also forgettable. 16. Gotta Make It To Heaven Just another gangsta rap track. Pretty lackluster. Overall, has a lot of forgettable tracks. There are some absolute classics and hidden bangers, but that second half falls SUPER flat.

Oh wow! I've gotten a lot I've already heard already, this being the 4th one! I love this album, and out of the Metallica I've heard already this is my favorite. 01. Blackened A fuckin' incredible opener!!! Although not my favorite track off the album, this is beautiful!!!! 02. ...And Justice For All Has always been my favorite! One of my favorite title tracks, and a masterclass in metal. 03. Eye Of The Beholder Not my favorite, but still kick-ass. Everything about this is awesome... except for the pre-chorus. I think that sounds really awkward. 04. One Such a beautiful song. This is a classic for a reason. Even though it's not my personal favorite from the album, it's no doubt a classic song. 05. The Shortest Straw Not a bad song, but just a bit boring compared to the others. 06. Harvester Of Sorrow Another one of the weaker songs. Has always been my least favorite. Just uninteresting compared to the others. 07. The Frayed Ends Of Sanity A really underrated one! I love this song a lot! That chorus is infectious! 08. To Live Is To Die An incredible instrumental piece. It doesn't waste a second. 09. Dyers Eve An incredible closer! The shortest track, but it end-caps in a great way. Couldn't pick a better closer. Now I've sung my praises for this album the entire time, so why is it not five stars? Because of that middle portion. It's the usual length, but due to how boring I found the middle portion it feels like it drags on for SOOO long. It's like a 4.9.

I've never even heard of Astrud Gilberto. Honestly I despise this cover art, she doesn't look real. 01. Stay Very nice and smooth. 02. Misty Roses Was fine. Not really my kind of jam. 03. The Face I Love This is more like it! This is really pretty, and my favorite lyrics so far! 04. A Banda (Parade) Feels too childish for me. Like it's explaining what a parade is. 05. Oba, Oba Meh. I didn't feel a thing whilst listening. 06. Canoeiro Boring. 07. I Had The Craziest Dream Fun lyrics, but also boring to me. Not bad, just meh. 08. Beach Samba (Bossa Na Praia) Cute little instrumental. This album so far is feeling very samey. 09. My Foolish Heart I really like this song, but I don't know why. It's not very different from the rest of the album, so I'm not sure why I enjoy it more than most. 10. Dia Das Rosas (I Think Of You) A fairly romantic song. Is one of my favorites so far. 11. You Didn't Have To Be So Nice Cute. That's it. I don't get why there's a little kid. 12. Não Bate O Coração Another boring one. Astrud is a good singer, that's no doubt. But this album is so incredibly one note and boring to me. I like faster jazz, I guess.

I've previously heard Deep Purple's album Machine Head; and I loved it! I hope I love this one just as much! 01. Speed King The vocals are mixed really terribly on this track. Which is a shame, because this sounds sick! 02. Bloodsucker Appreciate the casual racism. Not as good as the first track, just sort of found it alright. 03. Child In Time Now we're picking it up! This is not only badass, but has the best lyrics so far as well! 04. Flight Of The Rat A weirdly funny track, lol. Badass instrumental work, too! Great front to back! 05. Into The Fire Absolutely disgusting guitar work!! Favorite instrumentation so far!! 06. Living Wreck A real boring one. Doesn't feel inspired or unique in the slightest. 07. Hard Lovin' Man Works as a closer. Doesn't do much for me, but I enjoyed it well enough. This is definitely not as good as Machine Head, in my opinion. There are some great tracks on here, but as an overall package I just find it alright.

I've never even heard of Thin Lizzy before, so starting their discography with a live album will be something else, lol. This is also the first live album I've covered on the list so far! 01. Jailbreak A fun little opener to this. Aged weirdly well. It sounds pretty good. 02. Emerald Absolutely badass, with some kick-ass lyrics. I hope the rest of the songs are like this!! 03. Southbound A nice, slower song after Emerald. Still sounds really nice, especially the chorus. 04. Rosalie / Cowgirl's Song Just a real fun one! 05. Dancing In The Moonlight (It's Caught Me In Its Spotlight) Not as strong as the first four, but is still real good. 06. Massacre Real kick-ass and super underrated!! The hardest song so far!! 07. Still In Love With You My least favorite so far, but is still great! Just didn't grab my attention like the other tracks have. 08. Johnny The Fox Meets Jimmy The Weed Just couldn't get into it. Didn't do anything for me. 09. Cowboy Song I can see the appeal, but I just don't really care It picks up in the second half, though. I hope it doesn't continue this trend and it just blew all of its load in the first six! 10. The Boys Are Back In Town Like, come on. This is a certified #HoodClassic. Incredible track. 11. Don't Believe A Word Just a fun one, lol. 12. Warrior A really forgettable one. Super basic, and not interesting. 13. Are You Ready Real boring. Not much to say, feels uninspired. Really lazy writing. 14. Suicide A weirdly dark song to come out of nowhere. But hey, I'm not complaining. This is a good one. 15. Sha-La-La Cool little song. Was fun. 16. Baby Drives Me Crazy The intro and band introduction was fun, the rest I could take or leave. Goes on way too long 17. The Rocker Is a nice time capsule of what was "cool". Nowadays this is such a lame song, but this shit would have been awesome at the time. There are some absolute gems on here, no doubt about it. The first six tracks were all the best ones, however. After that, very little impressed me, sorry.

This is the first hip-hop album I've gotten that I HAVEN'T heard before! This cover is really beautiful, so I've had my eye on this one for a while, and needless to say I'm excited. 01. Nights Introlude Chill intro...lude. Is a nice way to get us in the mood for what we're (presumably) about to listen to. 02. Dreddoverboard Real smooth, especially those sampled vocals. I feel like I won't be able to say a lot for a lot of these songs... lol. 03. Pipes Honour If I smoked at all, this would be the best song ever created by man. This is fantastic, not a second wasted. 04. Me And You Too short for its own good. Segues nice into Stars. 05. Stars Not as good as the first three in my opinion, just still super laid back and chill. 06. Wait A Minute / Praying For A Jeepbeat Wait A Minute is nice, quick, and ends right when it needs to. Praying For A Jeepbeat is much more upbeat, and I am a sucker for bongos. 07. Groove St. Real simplistic, and weirdly spooky. Besides the bass, didn't care for it much. 08. Time (To Listen) The jumpscare was fun. 09. (Man) Tha Journey This is more like it! Nice and upbeat, especially the drums. 10. Bless My Soul One of my favorites. I like pretty much everything about this one! Not as good as Pipes Honour, but this is a close second for now. 11. Cruise (Don't Stop) Alright, this is my favorite. Very rappable. Very smooth. 12. Mission Venice Went by really fast. At least it did the spacey thing I really liked on Cruise. 13. What I'm Feelin (Good) Was interesting, but doesn't last long enough to make an impact. 14. Rise A fine song, doesn't do much for me. 15. Rise (Reprise) Like, what's the point? It's not very different from the original, so I don't know why it's even here. 16. Gambia Via Vagatorbeach Okay I DID say I like bongos, but not when it's basically the only instrument. What a weirdly starchy fart to go out on. This was cool. A few songs really blew me away, but overall I thought it was just alright.

I've seen this album cover before, but I know nothing about Air or the music. I'm hoping for good things. 01. La Femme D'argent Nice and smooth. Real catchy, which is impressive for an instrumental. 02. Sexy Boy I really love those haunting vocals. And that instrumental is kick-ass!! 03. All I Need A nice, much more downtempo one. Really pretty. 04. Kelly Watch The Stars Not as impressive as the first three, but still an absolute banger. Love it. 05. Talisman Was still great, but didn't really pick up until the last minute for me. 06. Remember TOO short. :( 07. You Make It Easy So beautifully relaxing. Legit calmed me down, and like I was already calmed down like wtf how'd they do dat. 08. Ce Matin-Là Once again, just really pretty! This the kind of music that just makes you happy. 09. New Star In The Sky This shit pretty. Those strings along with that acoustic guitar is magical. 10. Le Voyage De Pénélope A real slow-burn to end it off with. When that electric guitar came in I made a nasty ass stank face. Do I think this is a perfect album? No. But I'm giving it five stars because this is beautiful. This is my favorite album I've heard so far that I have barely known anything about. Ágætis Byrjun I had at least heard about for being incredible; where as this I've heard nothing! This is a beautiful piece of art everyone should hear.

This one has always intrigued me. I like the title, I like the band name, and I like the cover. But this has like, NO good reviews. I'm interested. 01. La Fille De La Mort Absolutely batshit insane way to start off an album. A great ballad, with some wicked sampling. I fucked with it. 02. Rue Des Tempêtes I really fucked with this one. Was fun. The guitar is so uniquely not fitting with the song. 03. L'eau Rouge This sampling feels so ahead of its time! I've never heard a song like this, let alone from its time! 04. Charlotte Feels like a Mr. Bungle song (I love Mr. Bungle). 05. Longue Route This made me realize that the lead singer doesn't do on good on harder, more rock like instrumentation. 06. Crier Les Chiens Absolutely crazy chorus, that instrumentation is crazy! Great vocal performance too! 07. Ville Nôtre Feels like a weaker version of Crier Les Chiens in every way. Least favorite so far. 08. Les Enfants It really interesting. Not my favorite, but for time this is super experimental. Perhaps a bit too long. 09. L'amourir A really interesting, synthy one. I really love the latter half. 10. Pas Mal A nice, quick, fast-paced song to cap us off. Nice and enjoyable. Although not my favorite album ever, this is extremely ahead of its time. This crazy, wacky and strange samples and guitars are absolutely nuts, especially for 1989! I know Pretty Hate Machine came out this year too, and I have no idea how that's not here.

Wow, that's a lot of songs. From my knowledge, in at least the top ten on this list for most songs. Seems interesting, especially with it only being 41 minutes. 01. A Salty Salute A cool opener. I hope the whole album is like this! Nice and smooth. 02. Evil Speakers Has a weird tempo. Cool lyrics. 03. Watch Me Jumpstart The guitar through me off a bit, but I ending up really liking this one! Especially that hook, really nice. 04. They're Not Witches Was fun, lol. Funny lyrics. 05. As We Go Up, We Go Down My favorite vocal performance so far. The instrumental was cool too. Reminded me of Car Seat Headrest. 06. (I Wanna Be A) Dumbcharger Has a really cool, atmospheric sound. I can hear how this has influenced the future! 07. Game Of Pricks Some really cool lyrics, but audibly was a bit bland. 08. The Ugly Vision I see the vision (no pun intended), but I just didn't dig it. Sorry, not into this one. 09. A Good Flying Bird All of them have sounded this way, but this one especially sounded SUPER amateur. It's kinda cute because of that, though. 10. Cigarette Tricks Literally went past while writing the track review for A Good Flying Bird. Was kind of funny, lyrics are nonesense. 11. Pimple Zoo Really didn't like this one. Worst track so far. 12. Big Chief Chinese Restaurant A worse As We Go Up, We Go Down. Not bad, just bland. 13. Closer You Are Catchy, but that's really it. A relatively weak one. 14. Auditorium Doesn't make any damn sense. I feel like we've had this song already, too. 15. Motor Away A great one, finally! Some beautiful lyrics, and a great instrumental! Favorite so far! 16. Hit Vile. I have no problem with the f-slur (coming as a bisexual man), but in here I feel like they say it just to say it. Plus, the other lyrics fuckin' suck, along with the instrumentation. I don't care that it's only 20 seconds, my least favorite song from this 1,001 journey so far. 17. My Valuable Hunting Knife Iffy on it. I don't like it, but I also don't NOT like it, ya know? 18. Gold Hick My favorite sub-minute one so far, at least. Still didn't love it, but is better than the other ones. 19. King And Caroline Meh. Just alright. 20. Striped White Jets Sounds weirdly finished compared to the rest of the tracks. One of the better ones. 21. Ex-Supermodel I think there's literally someone snoring in the back. Don't like this. 22. Blimps Go 90 Was cool. Not my favorite, but wasn't bad. 23. Strawdogs Something about this I just really like, but I don't know why. Great song...? 24. Chicken Blows A unique track! I really enjoy the wavering effect in the voice! 25. Little Whirl What's the point? It's not a bad track, but like, I feel nothing. 26. My Son Cool Okay. Cool lyrics. 27. Always Crush Me Feels wrong. I can't describe what I mean, you just gotta... hear it. 28. Alright Meh, was alright. Is cool to end this off with an instrumental piece, but it didn't blow me away. This is... a mess. Nothing feels connected. It all sounds like it was recorded through a tin can twice as well. I can get behind that, hell, one of my favorite albums is The Pod by Ween. But this sounds like crap. Don't get me wrong, there are some great tracks here (Chicken Blows, Striped White Jets, Watch Me Jumpstart), but a lot of this feels like filler. And I usually enjoy albums like this!

I'm gonna like this. A political song to start off? Count me in! 02. Communist Eyes Just cool as fuck. 03. Land Of Treason So kick-ass!!!!!! Immaculate instrumentation!!! 04. Richie Dagger's Crime So fuckin' fun. Awesome guitar!!! 05. Strange Notes Absolutely BANGIN' bass!!! Vocal performance is kick-ass too!! 06. American Leather Extremely hard to make out the lyrics on this one, but still sounds badass. 07. Lexicon Devil Super infectious! Absolutely love it! 08. Manimal Great lyrics, with a lot of energy!!!! 09. Our Way Honestly pretty generic compared to the rest of the album. Still great! 10. We Must Bleed Feels like a mantra. Scary, even. Love it. 11. Media Blitz The sampled TV half-way through is badass. A song that's still true today. 12. The Other Newest One I'm not the biggest fan of sex songs... but this is lowkey a bop. Still don't care for the lyrics, but damn this is fun. 13. Let's Pretend My favorite so far. My favorite lyrics so far. I don't wanna get into it. 14. Dragon Lady Ohhh.... dragon lady.... *cums*. (Really fun and cool song, sick instrumentation.) 15. The Slave Was cool, too short to live an impact. 16. Shut Down (Annihilation Man) A wee bit longer than the rest of the tracks. Was usually improvised live... which I'm pretty sure includes this recording. It's cool, but it's not something I particularly love. Reminds me of Nameless, Endless by Nirvana. This is badass. This quickly has become one of my favorite punk albums!

I had previously heard Physical Graffiti on my own. I didn't hate it, but I also don't love it. I hope I enjoy this more than that! 01. Immigrant Song Come on. it's Immigrant Song. Even if you don't know this song, you know this song. 02. Friends Such a positive song. Brings a smile instantly. Love those strings. 03. Celebration Day Favorite so far, honestly. Really fun, which a really catchy instrumentation! 04. Since I've Been Loving You So. Fucking. Sexy. Nearly eight minutes of FUCKING music. I will say; working four hours a night and calling it a "drag" is pathetic. 05. Out On The Tiles Following the previous one is a hell of a monumental task. This is by far the weakest so far, but it's still pretty decent. 06. Gallows Pole This is so fuckin' good. Every part, with every instrument they bring in, it just gets better! DAMN! 07. Tangerine Absolutely beautiful. I don't care for the chorus TOO much, but I still like it. 08. That's The Way BY FAR the weakest so far, but it's still pretty good. Just not my favorite. 09. Bron-Y-Aur Stomp Not my favorite, but is still real fun! 10. Hats Off To (Roy) Harper A super interesting way to end the album. for 1970, this feels really ahead of its time. I really want to give this five stars. But it just didn't stick the landing. It ends off with its three weakest tracks. Otherwise, this is a BLAST. I loved nearly every track!

Now, I haven't heard very many country albums. Before this, I've only done By The Time I Get To Phoenix by Glen Campbell, and 12 Golden Country Greats by Ween. This will only be my THIRD country album, so I hope I like it. 01. I Got You Even though I said I've only heard two country ALBUMS, I've always had a soft spot for country like this. I've grown up in hillbilly Appalachia my whole life, and so I heard stuff like this all the time. This rocks. 02. One More Name Very stereotypical "my girl cheats on me" country song. Listen I may not know a lot of country, but I know that's a stereotype of the genre. 03. What I Don't Know This song is gross. I don't know what else to put here. 04. Home Of The Blues Pretty basic. Cool concept. 05. Buenas Noches From A Lonely Room (She Wore Red Dresses) Really appreciate the Latin vibes on the break. But besides that is pretty boring. What's his fascination with killing women? 06. I Hear You Knockin' Pretty whatever. Didn't love it, didn't hate it. 07. I Sang Dixie It took until 6 more songs to get a song not about a bad relationship! Not a coincidence that the only two so far not about your terrible relationship are the best ones? Pretty basic instrumentation, but the lyrics are actually good for once! 08. Streets Of Bakersfield (feat. Buck Owens) Whatever. Once again, appreciate the Latin influence. 09. Floyd County One of the most basic country songs I've ever heard. 10. Send Me The Pillow Honestly pretty cute, I won't lie. I really like it lol. 11. Hold On To God Yep. That's a Christian song all right. Didn't blow me away. Pretty weak closer. Overall... eh? There are some real good ones, but I probably wouldn't recommend this to anyone any time soon.

I've wanted to listen to Elvis Costello for a long while, but never got around to it. This will be my first impression of them, so I hope it's a positive one! 01. Accidents Will Happen A pretty cool song! Cool concept, and executed gracefully! 02. Senior Service A pretty funny song. Especially the pre-chorus lol. 03. Oliver's Army An important song, as the topics is discusses is super important, especially at the time... but it just kind of sounds fine lol. The n-word caught me off guard big time. 04. Big Boys I like it, but I don't know why. Interesting lyrics. 05. Green Shirt Super interesting song. Ahead-of-time instrumental, and great lyrics. 06. Party Girl Really cool lyrics, and beautiful instrumentation. 07. Goon Squad Some incredible lyrics mixed with some fantastic instrumentation. Favorite so far. 08. Busy Bodies Just really sick. Once again, great lyrics. 09. Sunday's Best Absolutely kick-ass. Beautiful lyrics. I feel like a broken record here! 10. Moods For Moderns Probably my least favorite so far. Weakest lyrics, and the weakest instrumental. 11. Chemistry Class Not as cool as the rest. Was good, just not great. 12. Two Little Hitlers A cool closer, but not as strong as the middle portion. Still love it. Is really badass, especially for 1979!

I've had this on my personal "want to listen to" list for a while, but never got around to it. I'm a fan of the prog-rock I've heard thus far, so I think I'll enjoy this too. 01. Roundabout Yes I've seen Jojo's Bizarre Adventure. Yes I love this song a lot. Next question. That bass is nasty. 02. Cans And Brahms Kind of... weird. Just unexpected, but not bad. 03. We Have Heaven Kind of weird. Don't particularly love it, either. Would rather not have it here. 04. South Side Of The Sky The instrumentation is great, but the vocal performance is pretty mediocre. 05. Five Per Cents For Nothing See, THIS is cool weird. Super short, super weird, super bassy. 06. Long Distance Runaround Real sweet. Nice and simple, isn't anything is doesn't have to be. 07. The Fish (Schindleria Praematurus) Nice and bassy. Not my favorite, but is pretty cool for what it is. 08. Mood For A Day Absolutely disgusting guitar work!! 09. Heart Of The Sunrise By far my favorite lyrics on the record, and beautiful instrumentation. My favorite off here! Overall, this was cool. But all of the sub five minute songs were pretty lackluster (exception of Mood For A Day). Roundabout, Mood For A Day and Heart of The Sunrise were the only ones I felt a whole lot on.

I'm a super introverted person (with depression no less), and I get this exact feeling with any party of people I'm around. 03. touched Holy shit the story behind this is sad. Beautiful song with beautiful meaning. 04. to here knows when Not as big into this as the first three, but this is still damn good! 05. when you sleep Absolute beauty. It's not my favorite shoegaze song ever, but without this we wouldn't HAVE my favorite (I Don't Love by Have A Nice Life btw). 06. i only said Lyrically is mediocre, but that instrumentation is absolutely killer!!!! 07. come in alone I don't know man, this shit is awesome. I don't know how someone couldn't like this. Great lyrics. 08. sometimes So. Fucking. Pretty. Actual flawless track. 09. blown a wish Not a bad song in a vacuum, but coming off of 'sometimes' hurts this one a lot. If this was earlier I would like it more, even if I still really like it. 10. what you want Definitely the most inaudible lyrics of the pack, but is still awesome! Great penultimate track! 11. soon Fantastic way to end the album. Has some of my favorite lyrics, and is absolutely crazy instrumentation. Sometimes I feel too nice. Not on this one. This deserves a five star rating, no contest.

It's fun. 04. 4 Better Or 4 Worse It's clear they're just having a fun time, but man that third verse is... rough, to say the least. 05. I'm That Type Of N***a Really fun, and an absolute banger. Best lyrics so far, by-far! 06. If I Were President (Skit) Is cute and funny. 07. Soul Flower (Remix) Favorite instrumentation so far! Nice and fun! 08. On The DL Really funny, and a great time! 09. Pack The Pipe (Interlude) Blink and you'd miss it. 10. Officer Funny story, and is a certified bop. 11. Ya Mama XBOOOOOOOOOX LIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIVVEEEEEEE. 12. Passin' Me By A weirdly sweet and pretty song, especially coming right after Ya Mama (I usually do anyways). 13. Otha Fish Really cool song, with some sick lyrics. 14. Quinton's On The Way (Skit) Real silly, and real fun. 15. Pack The Pipe Took a second for me to enjoy it, but it's when he had the child smoke weed where it won me over. 16. Return Of The B-Boy Super old school, even for the time. A cool way to close the album, even if it's one of the weakest tracks. I'm a person that enjoys more sad, serious albums... but this is sick. Is just a complete BLAST of a ride for 57 minutes! Even on the slower, longer songs I didn't get bored at all! That's the job of an album isn't it?

Absolute banger! Such an awesome way to kick off the album. 02. Steam Rose From The Lifeless Cloak Pretty cool instrumental track. I wouldn't give it a heart, but I definitely wouldn't mind listening to it at all, either. 03. There's Always Room On The Broom That distortion is completely kick-ass. That hook is also SICK. 04. If You're A Wizard Then Why Do You Wear Glasses? Everywhere except Apple Music has improper grammar, with everywhere else having 'your' instead of 'you're'. Anyways, Quick and to the point. Really sick. Those drums are badass. 05. We Fenced Other Gardens With The Bones Of Our Own Really chant-like. Super cool. 06. They Don't Want Your Corn, They Want Your Kids Super weird, and super techno. Isn't my favorite, but definitely memorable. 07. Read The Book That Wrote Itself Feels like an intermission with how normal it is compared to the rest of the tracks so far. 08. Hold Hands And It Will Happen Anyway Got a nasty ass stank face when that guitar came in. Really fuckin' cool, the hook is badass. 09. They Took 14 For The Rest Of Our Lives The most "noisy" song so far. I love the minimal bass on this, and the lyrics are awesome!! 10. Flow My Tears The Spider Said Really sick first half, with a great atmospheric second half! This shit is fire. Absolute blast from beginning to end. It's not a perfect album, but damn it this is sick. It deserves the five.

Oh man. Another album that always reaches top ten's of every list ever, and I haven't heard it! 01. All I Want Really sick opener! Those vocals are beautiful! 02. My Old Man Is superbly pretty, with some gorgeous lyrics. 03. Little Green Actual beauty. I don't know what to say, as I feel like a broken record here. 04. Carey Didn't care for this one as much. Just not as cozy or sweet. Still great, just not AS great. 05. Blue So badass. Beautiful piano performance. 06. California Song made me laugh and happy! 07. This Flight Tonight Is just kind of fine compared to the rest of the tracks, but is still awesome. 08. River That chorus is tear-shed worthy. Purely beautiful. 09. A Case Of You Actually made me cry. God damn it... 10. The Last Time I Saw Richard One of the weaker ones... and it's still incredible. Well, it's Blue. Everyone loves this album. And now I know why.

Let's go!! I really love Black Sunday, and I've been excited to get this on the list! I didn't expect to get it this early! Also I saw one of the top reviews of this album, and it was low-key one of the most racist things I've ever seen on the internet that wasn't just a slur. Like, be real (pun intended). 01. Pigs One of the first hip-hop acts besides N.W.A. to really tear into the police. Great opener! 02. How I Could Just Kill A Man One of the first examples of actual lyrical hip-hop! A resemblance of flow, with internal rhymes as well! Birthed what is now modern hip-hop. 03. Hand On The Pump Infectiously catchy. Just a real fun song! 04. Hole In The Head Shout out Scooby-Doo. Pretty average gangster rap song, nothing to write home about. 05. Ultraviolet Dreams Really cool instrumental that I wish they used more properly! 06. Light Another Just really sick. A thing with gangster rap is that there's not a lot to say. It's just rather really good or not. 07. The Phuncky Feel One Really fun, with a great vibe! 08. Break It Up Has a really cool instrumental. 09. Real Estate I was on the fence about this one... then that beat switch won me over. 10. Stoned Is The Way Of The Walk Pretty funny; is a fun song. 11. Psychobetabuckdown This far into the album, is mostly just an alright track. Not bad, just could be better. 12. Something For The Blunted Really slick instrumental, with a cool call & response in the back. 13. Latin Lingo A nice song dedicated to Sen Dog. Overshadowed by B-Real (since he's better imo), but Sen Dog does a pretty good job here! 14. The Funky Cypress Hill Shit One of my favorites! Great instrumental, great vocal performance, and is just really fun! 15. Tres Equis This is NOT about the beer. Is a cool little song, probably wouldn't put it on often. 16. Born To Get Busy Kinda weirdly mixed. A shame this is going out on one of the weakest tracks. This is just kind of okay. The influence for the future pours out of this... but I just kind of find it alright. I believe the stuff they do here is drastically improved on Black Sunday, as it's more of the same but better! Still, I enjoyed this a lot.

A pretty cool little story, with fantastic instrumentation. 02. Ballade De Melody Nelson (feat. Jane Birkin) Wish it was longer! Is really pretty, even if the lyrics are really basic. #TomboysAreReallyHot 03. Valse De Melody Once again, too short! A really nice, classical piece that is just deeply comfortable and soothing. 04. Ah Melody Is pretty basic and boring. Weakest so far, second to none. 05. L'hôtel Particulier Nice, and simple. Makes hotel sex sound romantic. 06. En Melody Really sick instrumental! Also, I immediately recognized this being sampled on Not Over Till The Fat Lady Plays The Demo by De La Soul! 07. Cargo Culte Weird fuckin' lyrics, but the instrumentation is badass. This was cool. I just KNOW that for 1971, this would have blew my socks off. Not my favorite, but I liked it well enough.

They really fucking love this song. I hear it probably about 12 times a day. Now, most would get sick of something like that... but I like this. :) 02. Bootleg Was pretty cool. Nice lyrics. 03. Graveyard Train Wasn't expecting such a grim and dark song, but I'm not complaining. Sounds awesome, really enjoyed it. 04. Good Golly Miss Molly A really rockin', up-beat track that was really needed after 'Graveyard Train' lol. 05. Penthouse Pauper Best vocal performance so far! Loved this! Favorite so far! 06. Proud Mary Another one that my BBQ restaurant overplays. Unlike 'Born On The Bayou', this song is ruined for me because of it. I don't think it's a bad song at all, but I'd rather never hear it again. 07. Keep On Chooglin' A learned a new word today! Anyways, pretty lackluster closer. Would have preferred Proud Mary as a closer. It's just alright. A few tracks have been tainted from how much I hear them, but the majority of it was enjoyable enough.

This cover is really pretty to me. I've never heard of Japan, but I heard they make great things like "anime". 01. Quiet Life How a cool introductory track. Didn't blow me away, but it sounded pretty cool. Lyrics were pretty basic. 02. Fall In Love With Me It was fine. Not as good as the title track, but was solid. 03. Despair The lyrics are faux-deep to me, but the instrumental itself is pretty nice. It's pleasant on the ears, but I wouldn't put it on a playlist. 04. In Vogue I don't like how the vocals sound underwater and not mixed properly. Once again the instrumental is the best part, honestly being my favorite so far. 05. Halloween Honestly my favorite song so far. Instrumental is nothing of note, but the vocals are the best here, second to none! Also the only song with lyrics I enjoyed as well. 06. All Tomorrow's Parties It was cool. Another highlight from the album so far, but didn't blow me away. I feel like this is another song where the lyrics are faux-deep. 07. Alien Had a pretty groovy bass, but besides that it just blends into the album. 08. The Other Side Of Life Pretty lackluster. The only thing setting it apart from the others is the length. Least favorite track. I get the appeal, but it's just not for me. I do think everything hear sounds nice, but it just left me so bored. Uninteresting and mediocre singing. Sorry!

I literally just listened to this yesterday, because I've loved this album for a long time. I mean, I'm not complaining listening to it again. 01. Them Bones One of the most iconic and best opening tracks to any album, ever. 02. Dam That River Extremely iconic, and extremely good. You're going to quickly see a pattern with these short song reviews. 03. Rain When I Die I really love this song, but even I find the beginning and ending a bit too long. Still, a fantastic track. 04. Down In A Hole Classic, iconic, sad. I don't really know what to say for these, as this isn't a first time listening like for a lot of these. A lot of these are great because of personal reasons as well. 05. Sickman First half is super kickass and epic, second half literally makes me cry. That's all you have to know. 06. Rooster Absolutely beautiful. Objectively incredible. 07. Junkhead Has always been my personal least favorite, but this is still an absolutely fantastic track. 08. Dirt One of my favorite and legendary riffs ever. Fucking fantastic. 09. God Smack One of my favorite chorus' EVER. Super wacky and awesome verses, just a fantastic song. 10. Untitled Cool little ode to Iron Man. 11. Hate To Feel A wicked cool song. Another one of the weaker ones for me, but that chorus is legendary. I can't help bot notice the similarity between it and Swing On This as well... I prefer Swing On This but don't let anyone know I told you dat. 12. Angry Chair Like, come on. Even if you don't know this song, you know this song. 13. Would? It's just so FUCKING good, man. I've been listening to this album for literal years, growing up with it as well. I love this album. I also have a personal connection to the album due to that. Every song on here is an absolute classic, and you could never convince me otherwise.

I actually haven't heard any Marvin Gaye to my knowledge. This will be my first exposure to him! 01. Here, My Dear Really enjoyable singing, but I could do without the proses. 02. I Met A Little Girl Really fuckin' sexy, and really fuckin' romantic. 03. When Did You Stop Stop Loving Me, When Did I Stop Loving You Really interesting song, with a really interesting story! Great track! 04. Anger Really great lyrics, with a super funky instrumental! 05. Is That Enough Those horns gave me a stank face. Instrumentally the most interesting one so far. 06. Everybody Needs Love A really powerful song, at least for me. Absolutely adore these lyrics. 07. Time To Get It Together Just sort of fine compared to the rest of the tracks. Not bad, just drags on. 08. Sparrow Really sick instrumental, with some great lyrics. Not as impressive as the first six, but still fantastic. 09. Anna's Song Super pretty, with my favorite vocal performance so far! Fantastic instrumentation as well! 10. When Did You Stop Stop Loving Me, When Did I Stop Loving You (Instrumental) You will NOT believe what this song is. It's really nice, but I'm not sure it was necessary. 11. A Funky Space Reincarnation Honestly pretty meh compared to the rest of the tracks. Still pretty good, but is honestly a bit boring and too long. 12. You Can Leave, But It's Going To Cost You Super funky, and really pleasant! Pretty damn sexy too, despite the lyrics. 13. Falling In Love Again A damn great way to "close" the album. Really great sound, with beautiful lyrics and instrumentation. This shit makes me happy AND horny! 14. When Did You Stop Stop Loving Me, When Did I Stop Loving You (Reprise) Once again, another random and unnecessary version of WDYSLM, WDISLY. Shouldn't be here. There are definitely some filler tracks here, specifically the instrumental and reprise. Other than that, this fuckin' slaps. It's not perfect by any stretch of the imagination, but this is a great love / sex album if I've ever heard one.

Except for Just What I Needed, I don't know what to expect at all. My grandmother has their first compilation CD, and always says they were better in concert than Led Zeppelin. That's about as far as my knowledge on them goes. 01. Good Times Roll A really fun power pop anthem! Great lyrics! An absolute classic. 02. My Best Friend's Girl Absolutely cucking his best friend. Even at the time, I feel like this could be nostalgic. Reminds me of stuff from the 60's. 03. Just What I Needed Like, come on. This is an absolute classic. Put respect on da name. 04. I'm In Touch With Your World His vocals sound like he's singing through a pipe. The instrumentation is really weird, and not in a good way. It's neat, but I'll only listen to it if I'm listening to the album. 05. Don't Cha Stop Really forgettable. Didn't even realize I didn't write a summary of it as I didn't realize the song ended. 06. You're All I Got Tonight Favorite guitar work so far. Cool lyrics, but the concept has been done better already at this point. 07. Bye Bye Love The only synth work I've liked so far. Really great chorus too. Verses I could take or leave. 08. Moving In Stereo Really cool thing they do, having the stereo sound pan so much! Lyrics are pretty bare bones however, but the instrumental is good enough. 09. All Mixed Up A pretty cool closer. The lyrics leave a lot to be desired, but the instrumentation is fantastic. I found this to just be alright. It was cool, but except for a few tracks won't leave a lasting impression.

The only thing I know about The Sugarcubes is that it was the band that Björk was in before she went solo. I've heard good things about this, so I am excited. 01. Traitor Actual jumpscare holy shit. It's a cool opener that I didn't expect. Cool lyrics, but didn't give it a heart. 02. Motorcrash Weirdly upbeat considering the lyrics. Sounds pretty boring, the lyrics being the only interesting part to me. 03. Birthday Something about this song is just really pretty to me. It also introduces the countless metaphors that Björk loves to use. 04. Delicious Demon My favorite so far. Best sounding, with my favorite lyrics. 05. Mama #BigWomenAreHot 06. Coldsweat The hardest rock so far, and honestly I didn't expect Björk to fit so well over it! This is great! 07. Blue Eyed Pop A pretty catchy song about Viagra (?)! Really pleasant. 08. Deus Just kind of a fine song. I liked it, but it didn't blow me away. 09. Sick For Toys I don't have a God damn clue what this song is actually about. All I know is that it fuckin' rocks. 10. F***ing In Rhythm & Sorrow Is a super fun way to close this off. Actually my favorite sonically. I had a good time. About half the tracks I didn't really care for too much, but that other half is really damn fun.

Literally the only thing I know about Shuggie Otis is that he did the guitar solo on Mos Def's Blue Black Jack. Besides that, I know literally nothing about him. 01. Inspiration/Information So fuckin' pretty. Gorgeous vocals, with a sexy instrumental, and really pretty lyrics. 02. Island Letter Such delicate, yet beautiful vocals. Just a gorgeous song. 03. Sparkle City There's just *something* about this song I don't like. I think it sounds great, the vocals are snazzy, but there's just something... wrong. I don't know how to describe it. 04. Aht Uh Mi Hed For '74, this is really cool. I gotta put respect on it. It's not my favorite, but it's really cool. 05. Happy House Is really smooth, and is honestly a contender for favorite. 06. Rainy Day Isn't notable, but is really relaxing. Reminds me of library music in a good way. 07. XL-30 I swear the Discord notification came from here. I rewinded like twice. Anyways, I have a sense that this here is going to be an instrumental half, as the previous song was as well. This song was cool, but unremarkable. 08. Pling! This vibe has been done twice already; on the last two songs! I don't mind the relaxing jams, but it's already getting repetitive. This one in particular goes on way too long. 09. Not Available Is probably my favorite of the instrumentals sonically. That's it. The first half is great. Super enjoyable, with great vocals! But that second half is quite weak. None of them were *bad*, per say. But super unremarkable, forgettable and bland.

The only other Neil Young I've heard has been Rust Never Sleeps and I... didn't care for it. I've heard much better things about this album, so I really hope I enjoy this one much more. 01. Tell Me Why Actually a really nice introduction! A really smooth, and catchy track! 02. After The Gold Rush I don't think I'm a fan of his voice. That being said, I think this is pretty good. Not the best thing ever, but good enough for a heart. 03. Only Love Can Break Your Heart Neil has a real knack for chorus', I'll tell ya w'hat. The verses are serviceable, but that chorus is fantastic. 04. Southern Man By far the best Neil Young song I've heard thus far. Best verses, best chorus, and phenomenal instrumentation. 05. Till The Morning Comes Really short, but fun. Nothing too noteworthy. 06. Oh, Lonesome Me Neil, I don't know how to tell you this, but you're a cuck. Anyways, it's a pretty normal song, both sonically and lyrically. 07. Don't Let It Bring You Down A really great one. Beautiful lyrics, with gorgeous instrumentation backing it. A shame how short it is. 08. Birds Actually gorgeous. Reminds me of a church hymn, but better! Is really beautiful, and I think his best vocal performance yet! 09. When You Dance I Can Really Love The lyrics were really boring, but the instrumentation is pretty good! Not a lot to say about this one. 10. I Believe In You Too basic this far deep in the album. Not bad, but forgettable in the grand scheme of things. 11. Cripple Creek Ferry Cute closer. Not much to say. I much, MUCH prefer this over Rust Never Sleeps. I had a bad first impression. I apologize, Neil. I was not familiar with your game. That being said... this still isn't perfect. Is closes with the three weakest tracks to me, and has some super forgettable ones. Still really, really enjoyed it.

I know that Pixies was instrumental to the creation of Nirvana. But besides that, it's a band I know literally nothing about. I'm exited! 01. Bone Machine Was a cool track. I don't know if I'd pick it as an opener, though. Was neat. 02. Break My Body Pretty catchy chorus, but it sounds super muffled, at least to me. 03. Something Against You That voice effect is siiickkk!!!! Really sweet instrumental too! 04. Broken Face Favorite so far. Favorite lyrics, with a ripping instrumental! 05. Gigantic I didn't have seen those female vocals coming at all lol. Really enjoyable, and is really fun! 06. River Euphrates It's fun lol. I don't think lyrics matter nearly as much on the album, at least that's what I'm picking up. 07. Where Is My Mind? Damn near nostalgic. This song is fantastic, and fully deserves its flowers. I still don't think it's a perfect song, but it don't need to be. 08. Cactus The vocals on this song really remind me of Jack White or Neil Young. Anyways, I really like how minimalist this track is. Cool lyrics. 09. Tony's Theme Definitely a song made for live audiences. It rocks like crazy. That's it. 10. Oh My Golly! ¡Es un tema muy divertido! ¡Además, incluye esa frase! Tiene una energía genial y una letra muy divertida. 11. Vamos Something about this I just really enjoy, and I really don't know what. Funny lyrics, and a crazy ass instrumental I really like, maybe? 12. I'm Amazed So fuckin' hard. The spoken word is "funny" to put loosely, and the actual song part is damn cool. 13. Brick Is Red A really cool closer, which is also weirdly sentimental compared to the rest of the tracks. I definitely need a few relistens to fully understand this one. Unfortunately, with how I do these, I only listen to each one once. I really enjoyed that they weren't scared of taboo topics, especially for 1988! This was really cool.

Off the concept of Rednecks, I'm interested. 01. Rednecks It's so fascinatingly bizarre how well this song has aged. Actual fine wine. Good on Randy for not using the hard R! 02. Birmingham I love how bubbly the sound is compared to the dark lyrics lol. Great track! 03. Marie The lyrics and instrumentation is beautiful, but I don't think Randy can do slower ballads like this, vocally. 04. Mr. President (Have Pity On The Working Man) Really great lyrics, but sonically is fairly boring. Wasn't interesting besides the lyrics, 05. Guilty Is the most boring and basic of the album thus far. Doesn't do much for me, even lyrically. 06. Louisiana 1927 Really, really pretty. Fantastic lyrics, too. Those strings are gorgeous. 07. Every Man A King Really fun parody of American tunes. Is short and sweet. 08. Kingfish A song stuck in its time. Huey Long isn't known to anyone anymore, so unless you do research on this, you won't get it. 09. Naked Man If I was alive in 1974, I would have found this hilarious. Ahead of its time, and is a fun song. 10. A Wedding In Cherokee County Weirdly the funniest song to me. A very "if you're not paying attention" song. 11. Back On My Feet Again Just kind of okay compared to the rest of the album. 12. Rollin' A cool little, chilled out song to end it off. A very chill and cool album that speaks a bunch about the current state of America. I absolutely love the lyrics to this... but a lot of the instrumentation is SUPER one note, and all blends together after a while. Still, I enjoyed it enough.

I really hate these track titles. SEVEN of them have the word 'intro' in it! That's so annoying to type!! Anyways, I've never heard Tom Waits. So we'll see how I like it! 01. Opening Intro Sets the mood for what I'm (presumably) about to hear. A jazz album taking place in... well, a diner. 02. Emotional Weather Report I really hope this whole album won't be spoken word. The jazz itself is really nice, though. 03. Intro To On A Foggy Night These introduction tracks make it feel like this is a live recording. Well I mean, it IS, but not a LIVE live album, you know what I mean? 04. On A Foggy Night The first track that has a resemblance of singing! I'm conflicted on how I feel about the singing, but there's something about this I really enjoy. I like the lyrics, and I love that acoustic guitar. 05. Intro To Eggs And Sausage (In A Cadillac With Susan Michelson) I know he's playing a character, and I think he does it well. The mediocre stand-up really drives that home lol. 06. Eggs And Sausage (In A Cadillac With Susan Michelson) Was kind of cool, but isn't a stand-out. I like the way he says hash browns. 07. Intro To Better Off Without A Wife The worst of the intro tracks so far. A big nothing burger compared to the rest. 08. Better Off Without A Wife In a vacuum, it's meh. But alongside the other songs off of here, this is nice. 09. Nighthawk Postcards (From Easy Street) Feels very improvised, which is what I assume they were going for. I would NEVER listen to this on its own, but as a part of the album this is fantastic. 10. Intro To Warm Beer And Cold Women A cool little intro to the next track. 11. Warm Beer And Cold Women By far my favorite vocal performance yet! Absolutely fantastic track. 12. Intro To Putnam County Despite it being the second shortest track here, it's better than a few of the other intros. 13. Putnam County A much more spoken one, just like Emotional Weather Report. Enjoyable. 14. Spare Parts I (A Nocturnal Emission) A much more standard jazz composition. Sort of treads the same ground as the previous track, even if it's still good. 15. Nobody Some of the best lyrics on the whole project. Beautiful piano too. 16. Intro To Big Joe And Phantom 309 The FINAL INTRO TRACK!!! 17. Big Joe And Phantom 309 A really cool story, making for one of my favorites. 18. Spare Parts II And Closing Feels like a classic track, in every sense. This album has been a DAMN crazy journey, at least for me. Throughout the album, I felt like it could be anywhere through 1-5 stars. At the end of the day, I've decided to give it a 5. Because I've NEVER heard anything like this! Nearly every real song is fantastic, and it's such an incredibly fun journey! It took a few tracks for me to get into it, but then it just breezed by.
