It's A Shame About Ray
The LemonheadsSound like something I would have love when I was 15
Sound like something I would have love when I was 15
Classic metal album, unexpected jazziness on some songs, others are well known
Alternative classic, I enjoy the shit out of this one, peak 90s rock
I loved this album, although I knew about The Flaming Lips I've never listened to them. This album specifically has a lot of experimental electronic and progressive sounds but just enough to be a pleasant experience
Ground breaking mixing of genres one of the best albums ever
Sinatra being Sinatra
A nice album to relax and innovative for its time
A good blues with a great voice is always welcomed
A classic of classics
Folk rock and a little bit of progressives, did not knew I would ever pair those genres together but it kind of worked
Wordsmanship at its finest with a hint of folk rock
Punk rock roots, energetic vibes and interesting sounds for punk genre
I thought this was older, but it still was funky as fuck
Might not be everyone’s cup of team but you can definitely see how it was influential for the new wave genre specially by mixing a bunch sounds that you wouldn’t expect
Sound like something I would have love when I was 15
Underappreciated alternative band from the 00s, the album itself has very different feelings which speaks to the range of this band.
Not my cup of tea but the beats are chill and nice
They don't have the right to be this good for a band that started as a joke
I don't particularly enjoy David Bowie but he was a huge impact in rock music
This shit is so 90s and I love it, grunge meets pop
Classic metal album, unexpected jazziness on some songs, others are well known
Not something I will usually listen to but I can appreciate how good it was, it felt like I was listening to a movie or some sort of story in a blues/rock kind of way
Would give 5 if only some of the other songs than Sweet Dreams where as good buy, Sweet Dreams in it of itself carries the whole album, anyways it was very synth pop heavy, as expected
I like the sound, simple and catchy rock, kinda reminds me of The Beatles in a modern way
very yacht rock, I'd put this when I'm down to go down
Miles Davis is a Jazz classic
Alternative classic, I enjoy the shit out of this one, peak 90s rock
Classic chill music
I know Iggy is a legend but it's not something I enjoy listening on the regular, it does have some nice blues undertones to it, which made it more enjoyable
At first I thought it was just a punk album, but seeing that it was one of the first bands to set the trend it gave it a new meaning to it, for what it meant it deserves some kudos
Ambiance jazz music for days
I liked this album but Paranoid was way better
Sounds like psychedelic version of music my grandma would listen to
I loved this album, although I knew about The Flaming Lips I've never listened to them. This album specifically has a lot of experimental electronic and progressive sounds but just enough to be a pleasant experience
Mastapiece, Wings>Beatles
I was listening to this album thinking I knew that voice, and that the music was good but nothing special until I heard it, this album is heavily carried by Come On Eileen, if it wasn't for that song the score would be lower, although I did appreciated how varied the instrumentation and the melodies were
Everything I expected from stereolab, instrumental electronica, I like it, specially the few vocal segments
The product of seasoned great musicians, rock at its peak
It has some good sounds but nothing really caught my attention
I knew the songs but couldn't tell you their name or the band, they are a classic, nice instrumentation and a powerful voice
A little slow in tone but a easy vibe
Take me to funk town, I vibed really hard with half of the songs, the more ballad like ones I didn't enjoy as much
It was something different but I did not vibes with it much, cool concept though
I'm not a fan of Glam rock, although the album had a couple of songs I liked, but kudos for what they did to advance the genre
Nice songs but did not stand out for me
Didn't even need to hear it to know how good it is
You can hear the middle eastern influence weaved in the rock sounds, I'd never heard this full album but with out a doubt it deserves to be in this list. Not to mention the great amount of activism they do through their platform.
Chill reggae, focused too much on weed but had nice sounds.
A punk rock with little psychedelic touch, good but did not stand out for me
A classic, not much to say that you need to listen to it at least once regardless if you think you won't like it.
Rock roots in its fines expression, a little bit of doo wop and classic rock lineup. Just for the historic value this is worth a listen.
Punk rock standard music, had some bangers but nothing out of the ordinary within the genre
One of the best electronic pop albums ever made, it has a very clean sound and ambiance. It will definitely make you feel things.
Too simple and kind of boring, it may have had some impact but as a listening experience I did not liked it
A great band, underappreciated. Never heard the full album but I enjoyed it all the way, especially the blues.
A nice ambiance chill album, I dug it
Muddy being muddy
This sounds so much like the 90s, I can see how this is the roots of rap and how at the time had a very street sound and lyrics. Has some interesting bars.
Awesome quality for a live album that old, plus Cheap Trick is a great band
Songs are ok, guitar is great as you would expect from Hendrix
One song carries the album, but it is a great album nonetheless
It reminded me of R&B when I was 5 y/o, interesting but nothing remarkable
Clean jazz is always appreciated
Some nice classic rock, solos were jamming.
Hard rock with punk vibes, not my jam but it was ok
Some Saturday night fever kind of jazz, loved it
Awesome album, already knew it from before
Old classic rock, I liked it
Interesting electronic sounds nothing out of this world but not bad
Ground breaking mixing of genres one of the best albums ever
Wildboyz, cool album and interesting themes punk as hell
You need to be living in a bunk if you dont know at least 1 song of this album, its nearly perfect
It was pretty interesting but I did not liked it
The singer has a very unique voice and I think its one of the best 90s band, this album I did not knew well but a couple of songs but it didn't matter I still enjoyed it.
Got some classics and all around a pretty good album
The natural progression of rockabilly, loved it
A nice country folk rock album better than expected
Raining BLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD
Didnt really liked it that much it has spirit but musically I dont see much
I liked it but I dont get it, there were too many sounds and genres mixed in this album, and the last song was longer than the rest of the albm, like why?
It is simple which makes sense because of the folk genre but I don't see what is special about this album
Super underrated grunge album, one of the trendsetters of it's time. Plus Chris Cornell's voice is in another level
Interesting sound but nothing transcendental
Chill rock vibes, I liked it but I don't see the mass appeal
It probably was of some cultural significance but did not enjoyed this one
Take on Me is the GOAT of the album, and for it being a "pop" album it doesn't stick to a general formula, props on that
This is very different to common music, I really loved the atmospheric vibes of the music and the instrumentation is pretty good
One for one what you would expect a country album to sound like and themed after, enjoyed it despite the genre
Rock and blues plus a theme that ties everything together what more could you ask for?
Blues for my soul, RnB for my body
Really great folk-rock-country album, although the whole album is overshadowed by Free Bird
Simple punk rock and a little bit of pop album, liked it but nothing special, only the vocals stood out
Awesome ambiance music I really did not expect it and loved it
Good album, not the best they've put out, you can definitely hear the experimentation in this which makes for some hits but more importantly misses
You get pretty much what the title of the album says, although I liked Autobahn way more
