Led Zeppelin IV
Led ZeppelinUnimpeachable. Nearly every song on this album is a classic.
Unimpeachable. Nearly every song on this album is a classic.
I hate Metallica. Enter Sandman is worth two stars on it's own, though. All downhill from there as far as I am concerned, it just drones on and on and on.
This album is dynamite, and the Pogues have such a unique sound. Pair of Brown Eyes, Rainy Night in Soho, The Band Played Waltzing Matilda are all five star songs.
This was very good, and I really liked the first song. I'm not a huge Foo Fighters fan, but this was a little more stripped down/developing, which was good.
I am not a huge John Lennon fan, and I think a lot of this was pretty overwrought.
This album is dynamite, and the Pogues have such a unique sound. Pair of Brown Eyes, Rainy Night in Soho, The Band Played Waltzing Matilda are all five star songs.
Some great songs and a great sound, but it's pretty same-y all the way through and drags on a little.
I thought this was really cool, and it had a sound that I couldn't quite place. Powerhouse vocals.
It's a classic.
This was good and very chill. I'm not sure I could really differentiate between the different tracks too much, and no single track really stood out.
Just a really solid classic rock album with some great hits. Very very good.
Amazing to hear the extent to which the Beatle's sound changes in just a few years. This album is such a great pop music showpiece.
This was ok, there were some really great songs on there, but I thought they were really frontloaded and the thing sort of petered out.
It’s a really fun album that give a great live vibe, and really makes you feel like you are there. It would be a great show, but I didn’t really think there was a standout song. But, there’s a good thanksgiving sort of feeling, almost like Alice’s Restaurant
Unimpeachable. Nearly every song on this album is a classic.
This was really pretty good, but not a huge standout or anything.
Really cool album and sound. Victoria is a great song
Love this alternative sound, it's amazing how different is was from other music of the era.
Great 90s vibe
Unique sound, like someone was consciously trying to do an 80s sound after the 80s were over, sounds pretty influential considering when it was written.
Awesome music that feels nostalgic in a strange way, not that I ever visited the Congo but it really puts you in a specific time and place.
Sounds like my senior year in college
Good rock and roll
This was fine
Good but a some of the songs read a little cutesy- like allergies or the car one. Not sure I loved it.
It's an absolute classic of the genre and a great album
Just a really fun listen
Not really my scene but she has a beautiful voice
Lives up to the hype. "Time" has to be the best song off the album, beautiful and haunting.
This was a really interesting album, but one I feel like I need to listen to a few more times to really appreciate it. Much of the power seems to be in the lyrics.
I think Day in the Life is one of the greatest album-ending songs of all time. The entire album is really great from start to finish, and is such an interesting evolution of the sound of the Beatles.
I'm not sure why, but prog rock doesn't really get me in the same way other genres do. I think it's a good album, but it didn't really resonate with me.
I'm amazed this guy isn't more well known, this is a really interesting album
Good 90s sound
Really good funky sound
I liked the first few songs, but then it sort of faded away.
This is a beautiful album, with such a beautiful sound. Their voices create such perfect harmony it almost is like just one person singing. Talk about a supergroup.
Pretty good, pretty hard. Good mix of the punk sound and the hard rock sond.
I liked this, pretty good 90s rock with some good songs.
I hate Metallica. Enter Sandman is worth two stars on it's own, though. All downhill from there as far as I am concerned, it just drones on and on and on.
This was really good, and sounded pretty original for 2011.
It's a total jazz staple, with one of the best, most iconic jazz songs of all time leading the way.
Great guitar, Hendrix was a virtuoso.
I can see why this is such a classic, this is a band that deserves more acclaim
Love Lou Reed. It retains some of the sound of the Velvet Underground, and features some of his best songs.
I'm not sure I fully "got" this album, I sort of felt like I was waiting for it to be "better," since it's so highly regarded. I weirdly feel like I would have liked it more if it didn't come with the reputation, and if it was like a Stereolab album or something.
I really liked this one, feels like the Verve should be known for more than just the one song.
There are a lot of Springsteen's best songs on this album, and it marries the joy of some of his biggest hits with the emotional weight of his slower albums.
Good, hard driving punk sound, with the rockabilly influence too.
Pretty good, but for some reason I didn't really connect with this one.
I really liked this, I hadn't heard of the band but I had heard many of these songs.
Pretty good, it has a nice crooner vibe, like Roy Orbison or Frankie Avalon, except the lyrics are a bit more modern.
Great post-punk sound, If Cobain namechecks you, it's good enough for me.
Such a cool concert, the connection between Cash and the audience is great to hear. And the songs fit with the atmosphere so well.
Excellent album, maybe not one of Dylan's greatest but still full of awesome hits. Love "It's all over now baby blue"
Definitely plenty of great songs.
Good Reggae, but not sure what sets it apart from other good reggae albums. No real standout song.
An album and an experience. It almost should be played in full only. Some great songs off this album too. Excellent.
Did not love this. Some of the songs were really good, like "Who Are You This Time." But for an entire album it was sort of a tough listen.
This was a really beautiful album, with some incredible vocal work.
It's probably really fun to listen to in a different setting, but just listening to it as an album front to back was unpleasant.
This was really good, I liked the late-punk vibe. Reminded me of the Pixies.
Time of the Season is, obviously, a complete and total classic, but the rest of this one was pretty forgetable.
Pretty good, definitely a nice, different sound. Really interesting sound, but no really great songs (don't love Psycho Killer).
Really good, with some awesome songs. I really love the Tale of Brave Ulysses, and the album has a very consistent flow and theme.
Nice and easy to listen to, but there wasn't really anything that stood out to me. Just pretty fine.
I really liked the song Relay. The album really grows on you, and probably needs a few listens until you really get all she is trying to say.
Pretty good sound here, but no songs that really stuck out.
Probably a little too electronic for my tastes, I really liked the first song but it faded after that.
I thought I'd like this more because I like Billy Bragg so much, but so it goes.
I liked the 90s sound of this album. It reminded me a little bit of like Luna, or a band like that.
Great album, the extended My Generation is an all-timer
It's really amazing that Led Zeppelin I-IV all came out within a four year stretch. Every song on this album is a standout.
It's not necessarily a genre I would choose for myself but it's really a beautiful album. Some major standards here, and all beautifully composed.
This was really interesting and beautiful- a modern album I really enjoyed. Definitely makes me want to listen to more PJ Harvey
This was fine, but I'm not sure I love the Genre
Led Zeppelin is always good, but this isn't my favorite of theirs. Kashmir however might be my favorite of their songs. Tough one to rate.
I wasn’t totally sure about this one until “jump into the fire” came on, which is an awesome song. Many other good ones too- Nilsson deserves to be better known than he is.
Great album with many of Dylan's legendary songs. This is what I think of when I think of Bob Dylan, great as some of his later stuff is.
This was really delightful, a really nice sound that I enjoyed quite a bit. Upbeat club electronic music, maybe? Hard to describe.
Love the Smiths- very unique and unlike a lot of other bands. First track is really wonderful.
This was fine, I think the first song was my favorite, really reminded me of being in college. After that it was just ok for me.
Truly an all-timer. Some remarkable songs on here, like Moonage Daydream, Rock and Roll Suicide, Five Years, and that's without ZS and Suffragette City. But I think my favorite is Soul Love. Not sure there is a song on this that I don't like.
Good 90s alternative that sounds very influential.
Some real heavy hitters on this album, definitely enjoy the Go-Go's but it's a pretty light, poppy sound
Love the Neil Young sound. He's got a really unique and almost mesmerizing voice. Down by the River, Cowgirl in the Sand are really great longer songs.
This is such a landmark album it's hard to give it anything but five stars. It's artistic, it's poppy, the switching between Lou Reed and Nico gives it a funny sort of dissonance. Heroin is such a standout, experience of a song too. Deserves it's place in history.
Pretty good but not really a genre I am super into
I liked this one, Maps is obviously the standout song.
Really liked this one, surprised it came out in the mid 90s, sounds more like the 80s. Really reminded me of Aztec Camera. Really cool album
Great listen, and really a nice fall album. Just a nice cozy jazz album
Really enjoyed this but it was sort of hard for me to differentiate between the songs, maybe it's because I don't listen to the genre enough?
I did not care for this one. I like sort of knowing the musical breadth of the Bee Gees, but wasn't a fan.
