I was legit sad when this album ended, it was so well produced and fit the vibe of the day perfectly. Will definitely return to this one!
punchy, sounded like a group of friends jamming out in the garage on a Saturday night! I liked this album a lot but could have left out the cover of Born to be Wild without missing anything in my opinion. 3.5*
Loved it, genuinely such a bop, totally fit the vibe of the day and gave a much-needed energy boost. Fave song that's still stuck in my head has gotta be Do you Wanna Dance cause it was just so uplifting and totally tubular :)
not really my jam, not so cohesive as a whole, but there was good stuff in here too!
not my vibe! next pls
Loved it!! just what I needed today! peppy and angsty and love the sound of the vocalist. Faves were Zero, Heads will Roll (always), and Little Shadow was a beautiful surprise! 4.5*
Loved this album, Pass in Time stands out for me. At first I definitely thought she gave discount Norah Jones vibes but Beth has her own unique style which really grew on me!! just what I needed, 4.2*
poppy, energetic and upbeat :) loved laughing about the song titles but the music was not my jam
hated it, couldn't explain why but I was NOT vibing with this one
what a classic. absolute banger. great to end the workday with.
didn't expect so much reggae influence! Sting was such a babey making this album! I liked it sm and will be returning 4.2*
Vibraphonissimo was like a symphony in my ears! I love the sound of vibraphones, Gary Burton really nailed that performance. The style of music was uplifting, but not one I'd return to regularly. Glad to have experienced it!
this album filled me with inexplicable rage, my productivity tanked, couldn't finish it. I'm sure this music means something to a very specific type of person but it's not me. why don't your lyrics rhyme?? do better Leonard
loved the storytelling! felt culturally iconic and gave a good boost to my mood for Friday workday listening! Fight the power, iconic as always
Loved it sm!! psychedelic indie rock vibes, each song brought something new and fresh :)) will be returning to T Rex and looking for their vinyls secondhand! Faves were definitely Mambo Sun and Get it on, Cosmic Dancer was a sleeper build but unexpectedly loved it cause of the lyrics and my own self-discovery through dancing
probably culturally important or something but not really my type of music. no hate tho just didn't vibe as much as I wanted to
Lyrically interesting, I really appreciated All Thoughts are Prey to some Beast for the beautiful imagery, and Faith/Void also resonated with me :)) different vocals than expected though, not my favorite but I enjoyed vibing to it just this once, gave me Montana or Wyoming camping vibes? Americana-core for Thanksgiving yuh
Was okay, nothing too flashy. I did enjoy the look of confusion that briefly flashed across my supervisor's face when I paused my music and she saw the song title 'Jonz in my Bonz'. I have been trying to figure out what this phrase means ever since.
The real crime of the century is Youtube Music making half the songs on this album unavailable >:( WEODEND! liked the vibe tho, good rockin beats and some good energy for my mid-Monday slump
this album had everything!! love the storytelling, the funkalicious grooves, the guitar riffs, the good energy... minus one point for the farding and shidding sounds at the end, didn't expect that, didn't enjoy that but it was interesting!!
HATED IT!! country booyyy I do not love you. :(( sorry Merle
nice vibes in general, my first time listening to Lenny Kravitz, thought he was kinda cute ngl. album started strong with sitting on top of the world and let love rule and kind of underwhelmed after that tho.
really special album, I loved digging into the lore on the wikipedia page and seeing all the drama between band members that influenced the final sound! standouts are definitely the murder mystery and after hours, and candy says was extra special after having been a long-time fan of Reed's Walk on the Wild Side, without realizing they reference the same Candy :)) very cool
always a fan of Talking Heads! but I loved listening to This Must be the Place after this album more than the actual album, a little underwhelming but still upbeat and energizing! glad to have heard it
intense! I think I'd describe the vocals as 'dogs barking', reminded me a lot of Slayer's classics. Good to jam to and get the Tuesday frustrations out!! It sounded like the drummer was having a blast, I bet these songs would be really cathartic to play on drums. 3.5*
not too memorable, not too good, also nothing to complain about. Nice vibes, felt kinda retro
I liked it! Listening to Elvis made me remember this old lady on the train in Belfast I accidentally talked to for an hour, she was convinced she kissed Elvis on his tour to Ireland sometime in the 70s and I didn't have the heart to tell her he never toured outside the states cause it was a long train ride you know? But she was wild, she had an Elvis purse and an Elvis phone case and I thought that was pretty iconic of her anyways. good vibes with Elvis, I liked I'm Movin' On and Suspicious Minds best I think! probably won't return to the whole album again but would feel pleasantly nostalgic about hearing Elvis playing on the radio or in a café some day!
This album doesn't seem to fit with the rest from this list. Maybe it is trying to be too many things. Didn't vibe.
This album had EVERYTHING! I loved the live concert vibe, loved the irish accents, loved the rock vibes not a fan of suicide but I really liked Rosalie, Still in Love with You, Sha-La-La and ofc, THE BOYS ARE BACK IN TOWN aaaaaah classic bangers
powerful messages! loved the storytelling, good vibes in the music too, enjoyable listen but not too much stood out to me. loved Dirty Mack for the vibes and Don't Trust Em cause wowww powerful!
oh Bruce. I felt like listening to this would make me reconnect with my American roots but this was a special flavor I didn't vibe with; also every song sounded the same, with the exception of Dancing in the Dark, which was actually great. I am born in the USA but this album gave me the heebie jeebies
AMAZING album!! some new favorites in there! Venom I knew from Reels but I didn't like as much as I expected to! Favorites were 101 FM, Sherbet Sunset, and Therapy, loved the musicality, the rap flows, the collabs! Very well tied together, I enjoyed a lot
soft, psychedelic altrock vibes, I should have paid attention a bit more but I let this album gently wash over me for my afternoon work sesh and enjoyed it in general without any part really standing out except the length of the tracks (wowow 21 mins?? pink Floyd vibes)
so much LOVE LOVE LOVE for Mr. Space Oddity!! short but sweet, this album had almost all bangers but my clear favorite was Right, just the minor key gave such a funky vibe
I dreaded listening to this because of a lifelong detestation of christmas music, but it was surprisingly good. I appreciated, but will never return. Favorite moment has got to be during the acknowledgments at the end, when Phil says: 'as of this moment I am very proud of all the contributors' which to me implies a future possibility of no longer being proud of them. Not how I would have done it but you do you Phil.
Talking Heads has such a distinctive style... I was really excited about the first two songs in this album, good upbeat vibes and amusing vocals as well. By the end of the album I was ready for something different though. Strong finish with Psycho Killer and Pulled Up though!
A surprising love! At first I felt the musicality was a little basic, but his heartfelt lyrics and folksy softrock style won me over fast. This is a great album, I wish he was still around to bless us with more beautiful content!
69 must have been some incredible year. every track slapped so hard. love that Led Zeppelin thought they would be overshadowed at Woodstock '69 and didn't go. born too late I guess, I would have loved to see them perform live
I liked letting this album wash gently over me. Synthy bedroom dream pop goes down smooth in the background of a deep work sesh without really drawing one's attention. I think Zebra was my favorite
Strong strong start with Walk on By! I was instantly hooked. I've never heard anything like By the Time I get to Phoenix, got a little bit lost in the storytelling, but enjoyed the soulful vibes nonetheless
Jimi has a special place in my heart, and this album was so fire!! So many great hits on this record, and Still raining, Still dreaming was a surprising new favorite for me. He knew how to make a guitar talk!! Incredible
Experimental jazz guitar braingasm! Loving the guitar solos on Willie the Pimp and the Gumbo Variations! eclectic and surprising album, will be returning
I liked the general vibe, cohesivity was good but maybe a bit too much, couldn't really hear the difference between the sound of most songs. Gave me some much needed dance breaks during my deep flow work sesh this morning! Unremarkable in every other way but generally enjoyable, would potentially use Song of Life in an ecstatic dance set
I really thought I would enjoy this one more... maybe my head is not in the right place to enjoy love songs right now, sorry Stevie. Musicality on point, just not my vibe
I really like the Yeah yeah yeahs, and this album was pretty great too, lots of great songs to dance to! 6 likes from this album, and Tick was my favorite!
mostly downtempo experimental indie rock, I felt a lot of cohesivity in the album and appreciated that! nice taste of the 90s, I liked Unfair the most, followed by Fillmore Jive and 5-4=Unity
Beautiful in a way I wasn't expecting. I hadn't heard Amazing Grace since my grandpa's funeral so that was unexpectedly emotional in the best way. Really liked That's All Right and Tomorrow is a Long Time
This album went down soooo smooth, a pretty great finish with Northern sky and Sunday back to back. Nice to wake up and get started on work this morning. One of These Things First also stood out, I liked the downtempo relaxed pace and cohesivity of this album, but nothing really stood out as exceptional musicality, having a hard time rating this album very high but I did enjoy.
Not the biggest fan of this soft bluesy country vibe but CCR is classic! Felt very 'Americana' and made me nostalgic for another time, 1969, what a time to be alive.
This was the beautiful dreamy downbeat psychedelic vibe I was exactly looking for this morning. So much love for Radiohead. 5* absolutely, will be buying the vinyl and returning frequently, faves (for now, after just the first pass) include 15 Step, Nude, Weird fishes, and Videotape. Phenomenal.
Bittersweet Symphony ofc the obvious standout, and though the vocalist has his own unique style, not too many other tracks made a lasting impression on me. Nice sound to wind down to after a long day.
Classic Doors! Loved this one, revolutionary album. I liked The End and Back Door Man the most. I also felt very cool for being a person who listens to The Doors.
Loved this vibe - upbeat and fresh! Reminded me of the Ramones with their snappy and poppy bangers, but even more musically interesting. Loved Love Battery, Fast Cars, and I Need the most!
Surprisingly refreshing! Nice groove
