Purple Rain by Prince
Jan 10 2024

Never my jam but decided to give a fresh listen. Still does. Do it for me…too much 80s synth dance vibe.

Jan 12 2024

Pretty good. Listened to the whole thing. Think there’s better Wilco albums.

Hard Again by Muddy Waters
Jan 15 2024

Great classic blues from a legend! Didn’t even consider skipping a song. 5 stars!

Jan 16 2024

Old timey tunes which was fun. The story-telling of the songs was fun too. Awesome to hear the original versions of El Paso which I’ve know for decades as covered by the Grateful Dead. But not something I’d go back and listen to again.

Oedipus Schmoedipus by Barry Adamson
Jan 18 2024

Interesting. Diverse. Smooth jazz to Jim Morrison to therapy session. Got thru most of it. Won’t go back.

Fragile by Yes
Jan 22 2024

Classic amazing songs that stand the test of time. Some of the more obscure tunes are forgettable.

Zombie by Fela Kuti
Jan 23 2024

A fun surprise! Funky jazzy jammy Latin reggae. I’ve recommended to others.

New Wave by The Auteurs
Jan 24 2024

New to me…had a very familiar sound. Got thru the whole thing…not my jam…won’t listen again.

Chore of Enchantment by Giant Sand
Jan 25 2024

Reminded me of Cracker, Jayhawks. Slow songs, not high energy. LONG album. Got repetitive after 90 minutes. Didn’t turn it off….

Hypnotised by The Undertones
Jan 26 2024

Kinda fun. Can see why they toured with The Clash. Very period-correct mild punk.

Madman Across The Water by Elton John
Jan 30 2024

Listened to EJ all my life and don’t listen much anymore. Fun to revisit the classics but didn’t fall in love again.

Arise by Sepultura
Feb 01 2024

Speed metal not my thing, but actually listened to the while thing. Some good guitar work.

World Clique by Deee-Lite
Feb 02 2024

Poppy dance crap. Not for me.

Dare! by The Human League
Feb 07 2024

Couldn’t do it…skipped til I found their one hit from 1981.

Morrison Hotel by The Doors
Feb 08 2024

Classic Doors. Loved it all!

Blood And Chocolate by Elvis Costello & The Attractions
Feb 14 2024

Sounds like EC..refreshing to hear

The Gershwin Songbook by Ella Fitzgerald
Feb 21 2024

Made me feel like I was at my grandmas house. But listened to it all…interesting change of pace.

Femi Kuti by Femi Kuti
Feb 22 2024

Upbeat. New to me. Interesting listen but got repetitive and skipped the last couple of songs.

2112 by Rush
Mar 04 2024

Amazing classic!

Smash by The Offspring
Mar 05 2024

Classic hits, period correct. Liked the songs I didn’t know too.

Mar 06 2024

Not my genre. Had seen the movie but never listened to the music/album. Movie gives it context that a suburban white dude would never know otherwise.

The Only Ones by The Only Ones
Mar 07 2024

Didn’t do it for me.

Happy Sad by Tim Buckley
Mar 08 2024

Put me to sleep.

Olympia 64 by Jacques Brel
Mar 14 2024

Didn’t understand a word!

Brilliant Corners by Thelonious Monk
Mar 20 2024

Nothing I would have ever queued up on my own. Provided some calm during a stressful morning!

Violator by Depeche Mode
Mar 22 2024

Hated them back in the day but decided to give them another try. Still hate them.

Ananda Shankar by Ananda Shankar
Mar 27 2024

Not enough cow bell…too much sitar.

Beggars Banquet by The Rolling Stones
Mar 28 2024

It’s the Stones - duh!

Surfer Rosa by Pixies
Apr 01 2024

I knew the name of the band, but didn’t know any other stuff. Much better than I expected, very interesting.

Apr 05 2024

Not my thing but good to listen at this iconic artist and album. Raw!

Talking Heads 77 by Talking Heads
Apr 09 2024

Big fan of the subsequent albums, but fun to listen to the early stuff.
