Banger after absolute banger to start the album off, but tapers towards the end. WTF is up with Endless, Nameless? That seems like a throwaway garbage track perhaps thrown in at the end to boost up the total album minutes or something? A "filler" track.
Definitely a classic, captures the angsty vibes of the era and grunge scene. Iconic album art.
This was overall a solid album with excellent musicianship and production value. Very clean sounds. Some groovy tunes, but I didn't really find myself getting super sucked in or immersed into the music. Perhaps its not necessarily my preferred genre. I'd say solid, but not great.
Its a reasonably good album with some nice hits, but the Dire Straights genre isn't really my favorite. I don't even know what to call it, maybe smooth rock of the 80's. The 80's has some silly iconic sound effects that are present in many tracks. The album didn't really suck me in, and I found myself zoning out just waiting for it to be over at some point.
Reasonably good, and some obvious classics, but super short songs and pretty basic musicianship.
Reasonably good! Some solid tunes, raw sound, soulful.
Really loved the opening track Rio and the final track The Chauffeur. Awesome sound, lots of 80's vibes which I often find to be cheesy but was well executed in this album, which I found quite palatable. Thumping bass, interesting vibes, wide ranging sound. Excellent.
Extremely "meh" I feel like the album art cover with the dude yawning on the right. Just not at all sucked in to any of the songs. Tolerable background listening, but really not for me.
Absolute legendary classic. Metallica and a symphony, who knew it would be such an excellent pairing of musical styles and instruments. This is absolutely one of my favorite albums of all time. Flawlessly executed, live on stage. Epic.
Reasonably good tunes on this album! Its definitely not my preferred genre, but I enjoyed listening through. Lots of unique tracks, some folksy vibes, hint of early era rock. The Band, never heard of them before. Exceedingly decent.
This album is absolute garbage. A complete waste of my time to listen too. Demoralizingly terrible music quality, atrociously uninspiring lyrics, disgusting use of digital music editing technology. How on earth did this album qualify in the top 1000? Absurd.
This one does trigger some amount of nostalgia for me, but that's not quite enough to overcome the vibe that most tracks on this album are sub-par. Fred's lyrics have always struck me as a little too angsty and immature, like a tweenager adult who never grew up. Listen, I'd like being in a mosh pit for some of these songs in a live concert, but as an album I will probably never willingly listen to this one again.
Absolute legendary classic, superb tracks from start to finish. Beatles at their peak. Easy listening, engaging, lots of interesting and unique songs. Awesome vibes.
Completely unoffensive, but just not great. Slow, easy listening. Decent background music. Not at all captivating, exhilarating, or enjoyable. Just... not bad.
Legendary classic, one of the best examples of the album being the art form rather than just a collection of songs. The way that Pink Floyd has each song bleed seamlessly into the next makes for a super immersive listening adventure. Amazing and unique songs and sounds, just a stellar piece of artwork.
Honestly a very fun album, not my typical genre but it just made me feel bouncy and full of energy. Auditory caffeine. Good tracks, never boring, solid from start to finish.
Having never heard of this artist before, I was surprisingly pleased with the album. I'm not sure what to call this genre, but it felt like stoner rock with hints of folk, jazz improv, and other elements. Some hints of Pink Floyd type vibes. I loved all the guitar sounds, distortion, reverb, mixed in with clean acoustic sounds. I enjoyed listening.
Very iconic 80's vibes, wonderful confident passionate singing. Interesting blend with some Celtic vibes as well later in the album. Some good tracks, very much evokes the 80's pop culture.
Hey! There are a couple classic tracks on here, and overall a solid album. I was unaware of this artist, while being very aware of these tracks Gotta Get Up and Coconut. Overall, pleasant listening - but not overwhelmingly good.
Very pleasant cocktail Jazz, I enjoyed the vibes. I think as a matter of preference I prefer instrumental Jazz, but Sarah had a very nice soulful creamy voice. I wasn't blown away by this album, but I did enjoy listening to it.
A very interesting band, and a very interesting album. One part thrash metal, one part ska, one part soul. It felt a little bit all over the place, but I managed to enjoy many tracks. It feels like a band bending genres and maybe slightly ahead of their time, but I wasn't particularly impressed overall.
Easy listening, nothing objectionable, some groovy tunes. But, generally not super interesting or impressive overall.
Take on Me! An instantly recognizable classic to start things off with a bang, but then mostly unrecognizable stereotypically 80's tracks to finish out the album. If I'm judging this band by just this one album, I'd suspect they truly are in that 1 hit wonder category. Decent, one huge hit, but nothing else to write home about really.
Wow, this is vintage hip hop but damn I was a little shocked at the levels of vulgarity and violence. I love some of the classic tracks, but am continually reminded that this type of gangsta rap isn't really for me. I do appreciate the broader culture around hip hop, and its not even necessarily about the quality of the music but rather the ecosystem of artists, competition, collaboration, one upsmanship, and a lot of other complex cultural aspects. Fun, but one and done for me.
Hey, I mean, the Doors are classic and what's not to love about their iconic style especially their heavy use of the keyboard to drive uniqueness to their sound and style. This was a good listen, but I wasn't super engaged for many of the tracks. Riders on the Storm is legendary, saving the best for last.
Hey, I love the political message and general good vibes on this reggae album! I wasn't particularly hooked by any one track, and wasn't particularly impressed by the album overall - but it was pleasant background listening and I can see how it may have been a great early contributor to the genre and culture. Exceedingly decent.
This just felt like chaotic gibberish to my ears. Indy pop rock bullshit, really. Many of the songs didn't even seem to have a consistent rhythm, it all felt like very low effort creativity from the artist. Very much not for me.
Some very heart rending tunes in here, very soulful and good music. I enjoyed this one.
Alright, but not super captivating for me. Tolerable, nothing to complain or rave about. Nothing super innovative or unique. Decent.
Sinatra has a distinctive sound, but all his songs sound mostly the same. Decent album, but its never been much my style.
I'm honestly a little confused about why Bob Dylan is so popular. He can't sing very well, he's a mumbly wierdo, his harmonica skills are middle tier. I guess he has interesting lyrics, but they're also just kind of stream of consciousness gibberish. I don't hate this album per se, but I'll never listen to it again by choice.
I grew up listening to Nirvana, and this is another stellar album. Angsty, full of rage, sentimental, sad, Seattle grunge rock at its finest. Classic.
This was an alright album, but it didn't really resonate with me. I found it difficult to differentiate between songs, as they all sounded very similar. At one point I finally realized I had listened to the album almost twice through on repeat. Not terrible, not great, just decent.
Really a fun album! I like the interesting simple audio effects (panning acoustic guitar from stereo left to right) the fun natural drum sounds with digital emphasis (snare echo, abrupt silencing cymbal resonance). And its just a quirky little Japanese robot themed narrative adventure! Album as art, rather than simply a collection of songs. Some good hits in the mix as well.
Very enjoyable listen. Funky, fun, rocking. I like the orchestral instrumentation combined with the classic drums, bass, keyboards/piano. Reminiscent of the era, and also probably genre expanding for its time.
Eclectic, strange, and rather queer. It was interesting, had some unique sounds. But overall, pretty drab soundscapes with dull beats. Not for me.
I was nervous when I saw the low grade photoshop album cover with questionable font choices, but I'm glad I didn't judge the album by its cover because the smooth atmospheric acoustic songs were actually quite pleasing. Downright sophisticated acoustic artistry compared to the artwork. I enjoyed the nylon string guitars, the spacious stand up bass, and the generally clean sounding folk instrumentation. Pretty good album!
This was a very poignant and soulful album with some heart rending lyrics. I don't know how often I'd be in the mood to listen to this type of emotional music, but it was a good album.
This one was funky and fun, mostly a good listen. There were some jarring moments of dissonance, like that annoying keyboard at the end of the 3rd or 4th song that just felt like useless filler material. Overall, good beats, funky sounds, good stuff. Not remarkable, but not bad.
Some nice tasteful Jazz, smooth and savory.
This type of vocal centric smooth R&B is definitely not my typical genre. This album was decent background music, but didn't feel super original or interesting or groundbreaking. Very soulful.
Legendary album. End to end bangers. Just, so, so good. I'm here for it, I love it. Rock on.
Hey, I liked this album quite a bit. I've never really given Morrissey a chance before, but I liked the rock instrumentation and smooth singing. Above average.
Man, a classic that I had never listened to all the way through. Loved it. Interesting to hear all the classic songs sampled in there.
I'm a sucker for rhythmic metal, what can I say? This immediately sucked me in with the chugga chugga distorted guitar, bass, drum combo. The singing is definitely a specific style, I'm not as much into that but it was fitting. I was struck by how many of the songs I was familiar with, without at all being able to name this band or album.
Pleasant listening, smooth jazzy pop type stuff. Not exceptional, but reasonably enjoyable.
Quantity over quality. Honestly, not gonna listen to all of these. Low effort creativity and musicianship. Feels like a stunt album just to use "Love" and "69" hyuk, hyuk.
Honestly, kind of mediocre. I love the genre, this should be my type of music, but I was left unimpressed. It was good, in a fine sort of way.
Legendary classic rock, starts out with three major bangers and holds up to the test of time.
Medium good. I never really got sucked in to the music, but I didn't hate anything.
Funky, Jazzy, nice live/improv situation. Enjoyable, but not incredible.
Fine, not great. Couldn't really get into it.
Really nice listening, Neil brings a serious gravitas to his music and excellent musicianship.
Amazingly raunchy and vulgar lyrics! Fun listen though, good beats, amazing rap flow, some classics.
Decent, but no hits or hooks and super long album with a lot of filler.
I found myself dancing to a few songs with nice beats, but overall I really didn't like this one. Very strange and juvenile lyrics. A lot of just annoying music production stuff with sound effects and samples. Kanye isn't for me.
Excellent album! Nice momentum throughout, amazingly iconic 80's metal vibes. Really good.
Maybe they were revolutionary for their time, but I feel like this type of punk rock is low-effort creativity and sort of strangely prides itself on fast sloppy musicianship. I didn't really like it, but it wasn't terrible.
Legendary. Fabulous. Exceptionally good Seattle Grunge Rock. I love this artist and album.
Its got some hits, but I was a little disappointed in many of the other tracks on the album. Overall, good.
Pretty good! Solid end to end listen.
Fluffy cotton candy pop bullshit. I don't like it, but its not necessarily painful to listen to.
Funky, punky, reasonably good but not amazing.
Really solid jazz album, I do love me some Miles Davis.
Really calm, soothing tunes. I enjoy the acoustic guitar, clean bass, and singing style. Quite nice overall!
Super quirky, weird, esoteric. Kind of silly at times, especially some of the singing. Listenable, but not something I'd ever return to.
Love this artist and album, raw energy, fiesta beats, amazing guitar and bass, incredible vocals. Great.
Enjoyable, decent. Nothing super amazing though.
Very interesting Jazz, fun instrumentation and interesting techniques and sounds. Pretty good!
Maybe it was genre creating and revolutionary for its time, but I don't think this album has aged all that well. Just a lot of sounds and repetitive patterns, but not a lot of depth to the instrumentation or samples and just a bit too overtly digital sounding for my tastes.
Absolutely legendary. Metallica at their peak, in their prime.
I could've died without hearing this one. Honestly, a lot of songs the singer seemed to be in a different key than the musicians. A lot of 80's musical tropes. Just not great.
Some decent tracks, but also a lot of low effort filler tracks. Not great, but not terrible.
A fun listen! Some good tunes, nice flow to the album. Solid.
Every song sounds nearly the same, I found it tiresome by the end of the album. Definitely a unique sound and a key to the punk genre, but I just don't love it.
Really excellent atmospheric sounds, a solid album. Good flow, good tracks, awesome guitar work from Santana, he makes his instrument sing.
Pretty happy go lucky Beatles style tunes of the 60's, enjoyable. But lacking any profundity.
Bowie is a weirdo, this album evokes his iconic strange vibes. I liked it reasonably well.
Legendary classic. So many songs, so many bangers, so many classics.
Stream of consciousness gibberish. Lame low effort digital music production. Not for me. Did Lorde listen to Bjork? Similar singing styles.
Wow, emphasis on the sad though. Some very heartfelt singing from Tim. Very melancholy, creamy, almost tearful vocals. The happy aspect of the music felt a bit manic and silly rather than joyful, the somber minor tones and emotive vocals overpower any overt element of happiness.
I really don't enjoy Lorde's singing style. Lazy pronunciation, lack of "R" sound, I don't know why I just can't really stand it. Music is pretty minimal effort digital/electronic driven, some decent beats and occasional hooks, but otherwise kinda lame.
Very smooth listen, I dig.
Fun! Live! Very lively, danceable. Groovy. Nice.
Pretty smooth, easy, mellow listening.
Badass head banging awesomeness. Love the live energy and lively tunes.
This album immediately had me moving my body feeling the beats. Very groovy tunes, interesting samples, feels like an early genre-defining album.
Hey, I love the EDM & Indian cultural blend. Fun listen.
Quirky, fun, energetic! An enjoyable listen.
A nice soothing listen, coffee shop vibes. Soulful singing. Nice acoustic guitar sounds.
So smooth, so good. Classic.
I've always love the Intro and hear it all over the place. The rest of the album was pretty good.
Pretty good, but at some point every song started to sound the same to me.
Classic! Good to listen to the full album, funky, unique.
Pretty good, but a little to pop for my tastes.
A really solid album, and a unique sound.
