1001 Albums Summary

Pink Floyd was never my cup of tea. I’m sure I’m in the minority, but I gave it a shot and listen to the entire album, too psychedelic. Maybe if I was high, I would appreciate it more.

Kate Bush and this album was definitely underrated in the 80’s. I think her renewed popularity has finally gotten her the recognition she deserves. She has a beautiful voice and the songs in this album are timeless, considering they were written in the 80’s. I think it appeals to anyone regardless of the genre of music they favor.

Such a great album that for some reason I never listened to before. Besides the “radio classics” I grew up on there are so many more that are such amazing songs both in lyrics and music. Truly a must listen to album for musical, historical and cultural significance.

I had never heard of Pulp until this came up on my daily album. I really really tried to like it, I listen to it twice. About 3 songs appealed to me, the rest were just not anything special and while I’m not a prude the lyrics were just awful. I’m giving it two stars because I did enjoy some of the songs, but just not enough to make it listenable again.

This album was a big nope for me. A few songs with some merit but the screaming ones just make the album unlistenable.

Great album, even after all these years.

So if you can get past hearing a Disney song in most of the songs the album is not bad. If I had heard the album before Monk and Disney I think I would have enjoyed it more. Every artist has a music and singing style but with Randy Newman and how popular and overplayed his more recent songs have been it’s really hard to get past it.

I had never heard of this band before but overall not a bad album. A few songs I didn’t care for that seemed to not fit in the album, as if they were added to have enough songs, but overall not a bad listen.

Another band that I had never heard of. While my teenage self is rolling their eyes I did enjoy this album more than I thought I would.

Overall it wasn’t bad. Just one song I did not care for at all.

Amazing sounds, loved listening to it multiple times. Perfect for a day of reading while sitting by a fire.

I am sure that the true music connoisseur will disagree with my review, but I just love this album. Is every song a masterpiece? No, but they are just fun to listen to and nostalgic, and remind me of my younger years, not that on that old.

Meh, never really been a fan but can appreciate why they are popular.

Not my style of music but if it was I would like this album.
