Bridge Over Troubled Water by Simon & Garfunkel

“Everywhere I go I get slandered, libeled, I hear words I never heard in the Bible” is getting incorporated into my vocabulary.

Siamese Dream by The Smashing Pumpkins

Haven't really explored the Smashing Pumpkins before, excited to hear more

The Köln Concert by Keith Jarrett
Jan 18 2024

I liked some of this but most of it was noise

Is This It by The Strokes
Jan 19 2024

Never heard this all the way through before and idk how, it’s perfect. “After the September 11 attacks, the American compact disc release was delayed from September 25 to October 9 and had its track list amended, with the song "New York City Cops" being removed and replaced.” Lol

NEU! 75 by Neu!
Feb 20 2024

Didn’t mind this

The Cars by The Cars
Feb 22 2024

Classic classic rock

Feb 28 2024

I think I’d prefer the songs as singles. Hearing them all back to back as an album became repetitive to the point of grating

Court And Spark by Joni Mitchell
Feb 29 2024

Already pre-programmed to like anything she does. The album is a little all over the place but I never minded

Figure 8 by Elliott Smith
Mar 01 2024

This was good! It felt like the bridge between rock from the 1960s and indie rock from the 2010s

The Wall by Pink Floyd
Mar 04 2024

Massive. Highs were incredibly high, lows were very low, but ultimately really enjoyed listening to this all the way through for the first time

A Girl Called Dusty by Dusty Springfield
Mar 05 2024

Great songs and fine on its own, but it just made me want to listen to the versions of these songs that I like more

The Slim Shady LP by Eminem
Mar 07 2024

My parents never let me listen to this when I was younger and… woof yeah I get it good call parents

The Score by Fugees
Mar 08 2024

This is incredibly good and then Lauryn Hill comes on the track and really takes it to the next level

Dusty In Memphis by Dusty Springfield
Mar 12 2024

Okay so the 1001 Albums author is a Dusty Springfield stan. Liked this more than the last one we listened to, it feels like she found her own style between that one and this one.

Sign 'O' The Times by Prince
Mar 18 2024

Love Prince generally but this didn't work for me

Africa Brasil by Jorge Ben Jor
Mar 19 2024

Woo a non-English language album! Really liked the blend of genres.

Hot Rats by Frank Zappa
Mar 21 2024

This wasn't for me, I typically don't like jam sessions like this

Triangle by The Beau Brummels
Mar 22 2024
Innervisions by Stevie Wonder
Mar 26 2024

Stevie Wonder really is one of the GOATs. Joyous, wonderful – I loved all of this.

Dirty by Sonic Youth
Mar 27 2024

Good, though not my personal preference. I have to imagine that playing guitars like this feels therapeutic

Grace by Jeff Buckley
Mar 28 2024

Really liked this, wild that it’s a debut album, sad we didn’t get more

Bad Company by Bad Company
Mar 29 2024

This was boring

With The Beatles by Beatles
Apr 01 2024

I'm only rating this a 4 because I know we’ll be listening to other Beatles albums that I know are 5’s (I can't wait for you, Abbey Road). It’s fun to hear how their style solidified even in their earliest albums.

...Baby One More Time by Britney Spears
Apr 03 2024

Of course I gave it five stars argue with someone else

Parachutes by Coldplay
Apr 04 2024

Good debut from a low key band, excited to see what they do next

Play by Moby
Apr 08 2024
Oxygène by Jean-Michel Jarre
Apr 10 2024

Epcot ambience

Teenager Of The Year by Frank Black
Apr 12 2024

The guitar work is great but the singing irritated me so much.

This album came out when I was finally determining my own taste in music, separate from what my parents shared with me, and it really changed my whole music discovery journey for the better. So glad it still holds the hell up.
