I got in better with it on a second listen but still not their best.

Very energetic!

Some memorable tracks, but I found others a bit same-y.

Technically impressive, but the amount of indulgent instrumentals is a bit much for me. Smoke on The Water boosts up the score a bit.

Kinda boring…

Didn’t get on well with this. Boring at best, incomprehensible noise at worst. Is a 1 too harsh?

I like some of the Beastie Boys stuff, but their music is pretty juvenile and simplistic. 1.5

Man, Fleetwood Mac are good. Tusk is a bit bloated and unfocused compared to Rumours, but it’s kinda unfair to compare.

It’s got Sultans on it, which nearly makes it an automatic 5, but none of the other tracks really stand out. Not their best album, but it’s still Dire Straits, 4.5.

Interesting fusion of folk and punk, but not something I’d really listen to. A bit too much of the trad diddly dee for me. Definitely gets a boost for having Fairytale of New York.

Good album, just don’t tell Spotify cos it will never stop suggesting Strokes songs to me. 3.5

The epitome of an album, of legendary status. Delivers what it promises: an operatic, experimental, rocking musical experience.

Has some of the Pumpkins’ greats, like 1979, Zero and Buller with Butterfly Wings, but is overly long. 3.5-3.75, I’ll be generous and round up.

School’s Out is the most iconic track on the album. The rest don’t stand out as much.

When I first heard this album I wasn’t really aware of the hype and history behind the Doors and really enjoyed it. It’s a good album.

Excellent debut album.
