Popular Reviews

Tarkus by Emerson, Lake & Palmer

Great example of early prog rock, but Brain Salad Surgery is a better complete album

Gold by Ryan Adams

I don't understand why I didn't like this. But I wanted to stop listening to it.

Rumours by Fleetwood Mac
Jun 05 2025

My favorite album by this band. It is a classic. A complete work.

Ready To Die by The Notorious B.I.G.
Jun 06 2025

I understand why this is on the list since it represents Gansta Rap. But this is not for me. Same tempo to each song, same drum track, lyrics are either about killing with guns or victimizing women.

Let's Stay Together by Al Green
Jun 07 2025

Loved the soulful feel. Horns and strings were a nice bonus.

Roots by Sepultura
Jun 09 2025

Screamo. Not my favorite, but the music is alright!

White Light by Gene Clark
Jun 11 2025

Kind of boring. He is a good lyricist and the harmonica is great, but everything else was mediocre

Jun 26 2025

This was vanilla as they come. I found nothing remarkable about this album. I did not need to listen to this album before I die.

21 by Adele
Jun 27 2025

What a beautiful soulful voice. I could listen to her for hours.

Marquee Moon by Television
Jun 29 2025

This is a fine album. Nothing earth-shattering

New Boots And Panties by Ian Dury
Jun 30 2025

I didn't find a lot special about this other than the bass guitar had some nice rhythms

So by Peter Gabriel
Jul 01 2025

This was the height of the 80's techno phase. OK album, but it wasn't anything special for me. Sledgehammer is the only memorable song.

Tarkus by Emerson, Lake & Palmer
Jul 02 2025

Great example of early prog rock, but Brain Salad Surgery is a better complete album

Sincere by Mj Cole
Jul 03 2025

This is an ok sound. Good rhythms but not really my kind of music

Morrison Hotel by The Doors
Jul 04 2025

Good album near the end of Jim Morrison’s life

Hunky Dory by David Bowie
Jul 05 2025

Great album by a pioneer in rock music.

The Doors by The Doors
Jul 06 2025

This has classic written all over it. Iconic songs and sounds.

Station To Station by David Bowie
Jul 08 2025

Different than the other David Bowie albums. Longer cuts not designed for radio play. Overall, OK

The Boatman's Call by Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds
Sep 13 2025

Not a fan. Boring and too easy listening for me. I didn't appreciate the language in a few songs either. Not impressed.

american dream by LCD Soundsystem
Sep 14 2025

This was an OK album. I would listen to it again.

Smash by The Offspring
Sep 15 2025

This was a surprisingly good album. I enjoyed it

Blur by Blur
Sep 16 2025

Good mix of Nirvana style grunge and poppy boy band sound. I can see why it's in the mix

Crazysexycool by TLC
Sep 17 2025

Not a bad sound. Just not for me.

Gold by Ryan Adams
Sep 18 2025

I don't understand why I didn't like this. But I wanted to stop listening to it.

This felt like an easy listening album to me. I could fall asleep to it.

Sep 20 2025

I liked this! Her voice is simplistic but beautiful

The Next Day by David Bowie
Sep 21 2025

Still at his groundbreaking ways

Out Of The Blue by Electric Light Orchestra
Sep 22 2025

This is one of my all-time favorite albums.

Neon Bible by Arcade Fire
Sep 23 2025

This has a lot of unique sounds, but it didn't "hit" me. The vocals are banal and kind of boring.

Autobahn by Kraftwerk
Sep 24 2025

Love this. Brought back memories.

Will The Circle Be Unbroken by Nitty Gritty Dirt Band
Sep 25 2025

Refreshing look at some old classics. This was unexpected as I am not a fan of country music

Pretzel Logic by Steely Dan
Sep 27 2025

Decent album with one song that's for the ages.

Urban Hymns by The Verve
Sep 28 2025

This is an ok album. I just don't find it exciting. Very easy listening.

Violator by Depeche Mode
Sep 29 2025

I love his voice, and the synthesized sounds were ground-breaking at the time. But still a little too tame for me.

Tommy by The Who
Sep 30 2025

Now this is an album you should not die before hearing. The theme is strong and the sounds are varied.

Hard Again by Muddy Waters
Oct 01 2025

What a great classic blues artist!

Nixon by Lambchop
Oct 02 2025

This was like hearing paint dry.

Reign In Blood by Slayer
Oct 03 2025

This is a classic death metal sound. Too fast and dark for me.

Coat Of Many Colors by Dolly Parton
Oct 04 2025

Dolly's voice is not my cup of tea, but you can see why people love her so much.

Vulnicura by Björk
Oct 05 2025

?? Out-of-the-box? Yes. Worth anything? NO

Kollaps by Einstürzende Neubauten
Oct 06 2025

They call this music?

Surrealistic Pillow by Jefferson Airplane
Oct 07 2025

Grace Slick had such a distinct voice! I love listening to her. This album has a few of their all-time classic hits.

Sulk by The Associates
Oct 08 2025

Meh

Moon Safari by Air
Nov 10 2025

Interesting, but not for me

Nov 11 2025

I have a lot of respect for Johnny Cash, but for him to cover The Beatles, Eagles, Simon & Garfunkel, etc., is a stretch.

Odessa by Bee Gees
Nov 12 2025

Disappointing album. They weren't that good in the 60's

The Blueprint by JAY Z
Nov 13 2025

Better than most rap albums, but still not for me.

Meat Is Murder by The Smiths
Nov 14 2025

The music is fine, I guess, but the overall pace and singing makes it more like easy listening.

Swordfishtrombones by Tom Waits

What a unique variety of instruments and styles!

Bookends by Simon & Garfunkel
Nov 17 2025

Great album by a great duo

Strange album. Not really my cup of tea.

Rubber Soul by Beatles
Nov 21 2025

One of the best rock albums of all time by one of the best bands of all time.
