Not a fan of the intro to this album. AnnaLisa was also a chaotic song with no direction. The guitar is fantastic of course but so is all the rock/prog instrumental in this late 70s era. And after listening to the outro this is a 4/10 album. Just don’t like the vocals and the themes. There’s no direction but the instrumental is pretty good

Despite the deserved hate this is a pretty good album. Consistent themes, great instrumentals and vocals. Some songs were ehhhh but others felt like Jeff Buckley. 7.5/10

Not their best album by a long shot. Frankly generic almost to the point of Disney-level corniness. Maybe I just don’t know enough rock/metal history to judge this album’s place in time. Enter Sandman and The Unforgiven are my favorites from this one, but most of the rest sounds the same. 6.5/10

Enjoyed the progression of this album. Some parts were nothing special but they still contributed to the story. 8/10

If geometry dash was a crappy game they’d use this album for music. Just funky enough for a bland UK audience. This was an embarrassing listen in the daytime. Some of the tracks were alright, probably better on drugs. 3/10

Never realized how good the sax is for this group. Sades voice is so smooth but some of the songs are poorly composed. Particularly the last one on this album was awful. 6.5/10

Such a banger album. Each song works together but is also unique so it doesn’t feel repetitive. Only detraction is I don’t always like Fagens vocals. 9/10

This must have been crazy to experience in 1964. Not the perfect album but it’s damn good. “And I love her” is one of the best love songs ever. 9/10

Last 2 songs were great. I know Bowie is a legend and a genius but a lot of his work just isn’t my thing. This album was meh overall. 6.5/10

Well produced album, prog rock experimental sound. Once again Bowie is just not my thing. Pink Floyd has a lot of similar albums but their stuff is cohesive whilst this is more random. 6/10
