Rip It Up by Orange Juice
Dec 03 2025

Classic 80s sound in parts but I was surprised that some of this album felt really fresh and unique. Definitely would listen again.

Stardust by Willie Nelson
Dec 04 2025

Good folk but not standout or memorable for me I fear

Aladdin Sane by David Bowie
Dec 05 2025

I've never listened to this in full before and though there are def parts not appropriate for the cafe (a la experimental piano break), there's complexity and catchiness aplenty on this album which means I'll be back for sure. Even better on the 2nd and 3rd listen which is fun!

25 by Adele
Dec 08 2025

This album, for me, is her best. It makes me remember how much I love to sing! Production is kind of flawless - the recognition that Adele's voice pierces through really grand and dramatic production but performs equally well (if not better) with a stripped back and simple instrumental! I love it!!

Sunshine Hit Me by The Bees
Dec 10 2025

Variation of vibes on this album with some songs I would defo go back to (those on the chiller side). Not quite mind-blowing, but a fun listen

What's That Noise? by Coldcut
Dec 11 2025

eclectic crazy goofy weird. i liked it, esp the acid, there were a couple of standout bits. glad to have come across this album (wouldnt have otherwise) and look forward to returning to it

Slanted And Enchanted by Pavement
Dec 12 2025

couple of standouts but im afraid most of this was not my bag

Tusk by Fleetwood Mac
Dec 16 2025

theres some great songs but its long and sometimes repetitive

Berlin by Lou Reed
Dec 18 2025

surprisingly emotionally vulnerable, would revisit

Bookends by Simon & Garfunkel
Dec 22 2025
Low by David Bowie
Dec 23 2025

sound and vision is one of my favourite bowie songs but i found this difficult to stay with otherwise

NEU! 75 by Neu!
Dec 24 2025

i really like the ambient side of this its giving sigur ros. nice

Dec 29 2025

better than i expected

Dec 31 2025

soothing even if repetitive, but nothing standout for me

Jan 02 2026

Movies by Holger Czukay
Jan 23 2026

what the hell is even going on here, some of it was good tho

Sticky Fingers by The Rolling Stones
Jan 26 2026

this is a great place to go for rock n roll and guitar and riffs and bluesy bits. classic and enjoyable but for me, not exceptional

All Things Must Pass by George Harrison
Jan 27 2026

really nice and i think i've long taken this album for granted! thank you george!

Doggystyle by Snoop Dogg
Jan 28 2026

some funky dunky hippity hoppity music but aside from a few standouts im unlikely to revisit

London Calling by The Clash
Jan 29 2026

simply extraordinary and also deeply nostalgic. the way they blend rhythm and blues, reggae, ska, rock and roll, and all their other influences is 2nd to none

Jan 30 2026

quite peculiar and moogy and transported me to many different places. not sure its my bag tho i did enjoy some of it

Synchronicity by The Police
Feb 02 2026

why did this feel like a kind of niche cut from the police

B-52's by The B-52's
Feb 03 2026

:/ not for me

Stankonia by OutKast
Feb 04 2026

theres some real bangers on here but idrk why its so long. if it was trimmed a bit i prob would give it a 5 but still a valuable album in my collection

I'm Your Man by Leonard Cohen
Feb 05 2026

some of this album is really very good. nonetheless, 3

Music by Madonna
Feb 06 2026

i really like some of the more introspective moments on this album, some surprising freshness for a pop album (Gone has got some real trip-hop vibes, Amazing is giving proto-hyper pop).

Femi Kuti by Femi Kuti
Feb 11 2026

wish i could give it 3.5 - maybe on this occasion i will round up

Bitches Brew by Miles Davis
Feb 12 2026

couldnt get through it, im so sorry miles davis

At Mister Kelly's by Sarah Vaughan
Feb 16 2026

gorgeous voice, creative performance, classic piano. lovely. could round up to be honest

Youth And Young Manhood by Kings of Leon
Feb 18 2026

3.5!! surprisingly fun and i enjoyed it but i cant on this occasion round up - sorry guys

Vento De Maio by Elis Regina
Feb 19 2026

bit of fun but repetitive and lacked something that really stood out to me

Music From The Penguin Cafe by Penguin Cafe Orchestra
Feb 20 2026

saved one song off this so unfortunately not a showstopper but! cute and serene and nice album art

Dire Straits by Dire Straits
Feb 23 2026

technically, this is great, but gosh sitting and listening to the whole thing is a little dull and repetitive. maybe also a shame because I knew the best songs on the album already, but I'm rounding UP to a three this time

Parallel Lines by Blondie
Feb 24 2026

not my bag... maybe not even at all... heart of glass is obv a banger and one or two others that i thought weren't bad

Celebrity Skin by Hole
Feb 26 2026

surprised how much i liked this, enough variety that i wasn't bored and more than just a few that i would come back to. i would really like to give it 3.5

Feb 27 2026

LOVELY. WHY ISNT IT ON SPOTIFY

Music in Exile by Songhoy Blues
Mar 02 2026

loved this, and love to be reminded of the musical connections across the african diaspora!

After The Gold Rush by Neil Young
Mar 03 2026

i need to listen to this again, and maybe again after that. nice. some wonderful bits.

Definitely Maybe by Oasis
Mar 04 2026

obviously biased as everything is but i love this album. hearing some of its songs at wembley was a highlight of my life

Mar 05 2026

smooth and cool and super slinky. maybe its overexposure to the genre but didnt stand out to me or g massively

The Undertones by The Undertones
Mar 06 2026

original short attention span music...? I liked a few songs especially bc it was reminiscent of the clash, but crucially, the clash were more versatile. this just about grasps a 3

Raw Power by The Stooges
Mar 09 2026

could have rounded up to 4, but for me, a firm 3.5

Woodface by Crowded House
Mar 11 2026

Mar 17 2026

this is cool, i would come back to a handful of songs here but probably not the whole album

Mar 18 2026

songwriting mastery, musical architecture, texture, grandeur, and evidence of george michael's brilliance. i only wish that there was a bit more sonic variety but very good. #queer excellence

Are You Experienced by Jimi Hendrix
Mar 19 2026

side A legendary and impeccable. why did i find side B less interesting and more repetitive tho? i would like it in my collection but i don't know how often i'd listen to the full EP

Let's Stay Together by Al Green
Mar 24 2026

i knew i loved al green but sitting and listening to this, wow, it was just phenomenal

Seventh Tree by Goldfrapp
Mar 25 2026

really liked much of this, electronic dreamscape vibes, reminiscent of cocteau twins with velvetier vocals. tbc i am rounding UP from a 3.5

Night Life by Ray Price
Mar 27 2026

the price, for me, is not right. though i'd like a little bit of this here and there, the album is far too homogenous for me and not much stands out

Catch A Fire by Bob Marley & The Wailers
Apr 01 2026

essential reggae listening, but not sure i would relisten all the way through bc it leans towards lovers rock still at times. love tho

Exile On Main Street by The Rolling Stones
Apr 03 2026

lost most of my interest after hearing gratuitous use of the n word! also, it should have been half as long. despite these things, there was some of it that i enjoyed.
