With The Beatles by Beatles

Great tunes. Wow they sound so dated compared to their later stuff though. 3.5

Low by David Bowie
Dec 21 2025

Totally wasn't in the mood for this. Also felt a bit disjointed. All the songs were trying to be something that didn't fit together for me. Very mythical and 80s. Maybe a version of the Labyrinth soundtrack?

Raw Power by The Stooges
Dec 22 2025

Not really my vibe. Early punk. Neat to hear where the sound evolved from.

Bad by Michael Jackson
Dec 23 2025

This was fun and there are definitely some bangers on here. I'm personally not a huge fan of all the synth and fake sounds in 80s music, so I think this turns me off a bit here. But I'd def add some of these sounds to a dance playlist.

Parachutes by Coldplay
Dec 24 2025

This was great. I'd never heard the whole album. The singles are obviously iconic, but I have a few new faves, like Trouble and Everything's not lost. What a banger of an album. It doesn't quite give me all the feels, but it's close.

A Girl Called Dusty by Dusty Springfield
Dec 27 2025

Loved it. So many great songs. Definitely will be relistening to. So many songs I didn't know were hers!

Chirping Crickets by Buddy Holly & The Crickets
Dec 28 2025

Iconic, but not my favourite.

Dec 29 2025

Mostly didn't like, but there were a few little sections I liked. Prog rock is not for me.

Master Of Puppets by Metallica
Dec 30 2025

Fine, but not my style of music. The slower songs were nicer.

The Chronic by Dr. Dre
Dec 31 2025

Great beats. Great era for rap, I like the early 90s stuff. Don't like the misogyny or fake confidence.

Tragic Songs of Life by The Louvin Brothers
Jan 01 2026

Unexpected but I really liked this. Speaks to the folk that I like and neat to hear some new folk I'm not familiar with.

The Köln Concert by Keith Jarrett
Jan 07 2026

Very beautiful music and I can tell it's very important musically. But I found it hard to follow with few specific tunes or themes.

The White Room by The KLF
Jan 08 2026

This was great! Liked it a lot. Good electronic beats, very different songs. Last Train was great.

Bug by Dinosaur Jr.
Jan 09 2026

This album was great. A bit grunge, a bit punk, a bit rock. It wish I'd known this band when I was more into those genres. Very glad to have listened!

The Soft Bulletin by The Flaming Lips
Jan 11 2026

This is much closer to other albums I've liked and I can see its influence on future indie albums. A few good tunes but it didn't grab me.

Horses by Patti Smith
Jan 12 2026
Want One by Rufus Wainwright
Jan 14 2026

14th Street, Beautiful Child, Dinner at Eight, Go or go ahead. This has been a top album in my life and these songs have been so important to me to at many times. These songs. Bliss! 4.5

The Wildest! by Louis Prima
Jan 15 2026

Awesome. Did not expect a swing album, from the 50s, especially with songs that I knew. Loved it.

L'Eau Rouge by The Young Gods
Jan 16 2026

Interesting genre. Not a fave, but didn't dislike it.

Rock 'N Soul by Solomon Burke
Jan 17 2026

It's great and lovely music, but it didn't hit my soul.

Dire Straits by Dire Straits
Jan 20 2026

Liked it a lot. Great tunes.

Trout Mask Replica by Captain Beefheart & His Magic Band
Jan 21 2026

This album is so stupid. It sounds like my brother's friends messing around in high school, trying to be experimental, but just being pretentious.

Stankonia by OutKast
Jan 24 2026

A couple good tunes but not my favourite rap album or style.

Axis: Bold As Love by Jimi Hendrix
Jan 26 2026

A few great tunes. A bit experimental for me. Obviously important to music history and guitar playing.

The White Album by Beatles
Jan 27 2026

Love this album. It's random, kid like, but has some serious epic songs. Obladi, Dear Prudence, Honey Pie.

The Gilded Palace Of Sin by The Flying Burrito Brothers
Jan 28 2026

I liked this more than I expected to. First of all, great suits and great cover. Secondly, hilarious band name. 3rd: Great album name. Cool 60s tunes but not so mainstream. Folky, rocky, bluesy.

Hejira by Joni Mitchell
Jan 29 2026

3.5. Beautiful songs but nothing stood out a lot.

Illinois by Sufjan Stevens
Jan 30 2026

This album was incredible. It reminded me of so many hours, listening to it. It has ups and downs and it filled my heart.

Dirt by Alice In Chains
Jan 31 2026

Okay. Didn't love it, didn't hate it.

Melody A.M. by Röyksopp
Feb 01 2026

Enjoyed it! A lot of these songs I've heard before because they were on my hula hooping playlist and it was cool to hear them in context!

Lots of cool songs but lots of mid ones. 3.5

Garbage by Garbage
Feb 03 2026

Sooooo 90s. I liked the vibes.

Isn't Anything by My Bloody Valentine
Feb 04 2026

Fine, but a lot of distortion which I don't love. Doesn't stand out. 2.5

Blonde On Blonde by Bob Dylan
Feb 05 2026

I liked it a lot and have always meant to listen to this album. It didn't grab me as much as other albums. 3.5

Definitely Maybe by Oasis
Feb 08 2026

This was fine and I probably need to listen to it more. Nothing stood out a lot and there were a lot of rock albums this week.

Exodus by Bob Marley & The Wailers
Feb 10 2026

Love this. Twas awesome. So many famous tunes and very nice to have a different chill genre.

Third/Sister Lovers by Big Star
Feb 11 2026

3.5. Some interesting songs and a cool album in the genre that is this era.

Feb 12 2026

It was so refreshing to hear a female singer after so much of this classic albums being a real dude fest. 3.5. Not all my jam, but some catchy tunes.

Vauxhall And I by Morrissey
Feb 18 2026

Liked this a lot. He has a great voice and the songs are chill, meaningful and relaxed.

New Forms by Roni Size
Feb 19 2026

This was very trippy and interesting. Lots of neat sounds and vibes.

The Wall by Pink Floyd
Feb 21 2026

I liked this more than I expected. 4. Some awesome songs and the album feeds one song into the next so well.

With The Beatles by Beatles
Feb 23 2026

Great tunes. Wow they sound so dated compared to their later stuff though. 3.5

Green Onions by Booker T. & The MG's
Feb 28 2026

Loved it, very cool album. Nice to have no lyrics for a change.

Broken English by Marianne Faithfull
Mar 04 2026

I liked it more than I thought I would. 70s and 60s rock merging into 80s synth. 3.5

I liked this a lot and want to listen again! 3.5

Tical by Method Man
Mar 09 2026

Mar 25 2026

The music is catchy and the quick rhymes. But I dislike the misogyny so much it ruins it for me.

Savane by Ali Farka Touré
Apr 28 2026

I can see that this is an important album, it's not really for me though. 2.8

Mermaid Avenue by Billy Bragg
