Popular Reviews

Home Is Where The Music Is by Hugh Masekela

I love the joy and simple purpose of each groove. A deceptively simple album. Enjoyable, joyful, fun. Harder to pull off than it seems. A few songs drag a bit for me, but otherwise dug it.

From Elvis In Memphis by Elvis Presley
Dec 23 2025

So much more depth in his voice than his first recordings. Reverb is dope af. Still jingle jangling

Superfly by Curtis Mayfield
Dec 24 2025

Is it fair to be underwhelmed? Maybe I just don’t get it. Enjoyed pusher man and a number of other tracks, but I think I just don’t need a full album of funk / souls very often.

Sign 'O' The Times by Prince
Dec 25 2025

Idk why albums need to be this long, but this one is great. Enjoyed most of it but too long.

Appetite For Destruction by Guns N' Roses
Dec 28 2025

How many guitar solos does one album need? Honestly, give me the hits from this bad boy (and there’s a lot of them!) and nothing in between. What an album to knit to.

Playing With Fire by Spacemen 3
Dec 29 2025

Enjoy the drones. Definitely my jam—can’t say there’s anything revolutionary or mind blowing going on

Smash by The Offspring
Dec 30 2025
Achtung Baby by U2
Dec 31 2025

Wikipedia tells me this is an album filled with innovation and creativity. It didn’t capture me much. Seemed like it was more derivative than transformative.

Highway 61 Revisited by Bob Dylan
Jan 02 2026

I can’t say Bob Dylan really deserves the Nobel prize for his lyrics (how many times can you rhyme “done” with highway 61?) every second of this album is enjoyable and is probably the first one on this list that you really should listen to before you die.

At San Quentin by Johnny Cash
Jan 03 2026

The prisoners are the stars of the show.

Ramones by Ramones
Jan 04 2026

So good. So dumb. Love it

Blood, Sweat & Tears by Blood, Sweat & Tears
Jan 05 2026

They tried every genre on this thing. Who asked for this? A bunch of talented musicians making kind of stupid music

Foo Fighters by Foo Fighters
Jan 06 2026

Found the whole thing to be surprisingly boring. Do people like Foo Fighters this much? Maybe you had to be there idk

Made In Japan by Deep Purple
Jan 07 2026

I don’t get live albums. Part of my ratings are based around “would I return back to this?” And I can’t imagine listening to this again. It feels like I need to have some chemical assistance and a vibe to enjoy this.

Talking Heads 77 by Talking Heads
Jan 12 2026

A bunch of weirdos who can string together a tune. Not my favorite Talking Heads, but certainly an awesome album

Home Is Where The Music Is by Hugh Masekela
Jan 13 2026

I love the joy and simple purpose of each groove. A deceptively simple album. Enjoyable, joyful, fun. Harder to pull off than it seems. A few songs drag a bit for me, but otherwise dug it.

Rapture by Anita Baker
Jan 15 2026

This album is not made for a 35 year old white man, but there were moments I actually enjoyed a lot. This soft, focused production style isn’t something I really return too, but is clearly intentional and makes for an interesting comparison point.

The Wall by Pink Floyd
Jan 16 2026

I can't believe how boring this was

Low by David Bowie
Jan 17 2026
90 by 808 State
Jan 19 2026

I didn’t have any party drugs at my system when listening. Nor was I in the basement of a club in London. So who can say what I really think

Stankonia by OutKast
Feb 07 2026

it's weird, it's funky, it's fresh

Siembra by Willie Colón & Rubén Blades
Feb 09 2026
London Calling by The Clash
Feb 14 2026

Arthur's favorite album so far. Especially loves Rudy Can't Fail. I love this album so I really don't see faults in it anymore. It's probably to long but idgaf

2112 by Rush
Feb 16 2026

Yuck

Kenya by Machito
Feb 18 2026

Those horns are incredible

Yeezus by Kanye West
Feb 19 2026

Probably my least favorite of semi coherent Kanye. Some real bangers tho

Foxbase Alpha by Saint Etienne
Feb 20 2026

Cannot believe you people liked this over Yeezus

Stand! by Sly & The Family Stone
Feb 21 2026

Some awesome jams.

69 Love Songs by The Magnetic Fields
Feb 22 2026

Really can’t stand this album

Red Headed Stranger by Willie Nelson
Mar 01 2026

Love Willie. Not quite as conceptually interesting as other albums, but enjoyable

The Band by The Band
Mar 06 2026

A snooze fest

Ray Of Light by Madonna
Mar 26 2026

This album is about taking drugs and vibing in a late 90’s club in Berlin. That’s great

Odessa by Bee Gees
Mar 29 2026
1984 by Van Halen
Mar 31 2026

Yikes

Dookie by Green Day
Apr 07 2026
Live! by Fela Kuti
Apr 11 2026
Wish You Were Here by Pink Floyd
Apr 14 2026

These guys are so far up their own ass and it's a shame because every once in awhile you get an awesome, thoughtful song and then you get a bunch of ambient synth and guitar.

Neon Bible by Arcade Fire
Apr 15 2026

A few songs still hit, but truly a teenage album
