Popular Reviews

The Velvet Underground by The Velvet Underground

Slow, Melancholy, forgettable, unremarkable, and boring at times I dont think I'll revisit the whole album often, if ever, but Candy Says is a beautiful song I liked. I really disliked The Murder Mystery. Overall I give the album a shrug.

Tusk by Fleetwood Mac

Really long. The stand out songs for me are "Tusk" and "What Makes You Think You're The One". But really, the silly/energetic songs are what shines for me on this album. There are long stretches in between that are dreadfully boring, particularly the 3 songs before Tusk, good lord. I think as a double album it doesn't work. I'll probably never come back and listen to it start to finish. But somewhere in here there are 2 different albums by 2 different bands and one of them is way more fun than the other.

Eternally Yours by The Saints

What a treat! Never heard of the Saints and I thoroughly enjoyed this. This lead me to also check out I'm Stranded which also rules. The Saints rule.

Debut by Björk
Jan 03 2026

Likes: Human Behavior, Big Time Sensuality First time Bjork listener. I was expecting it to be more weird. I liked it for rhe most part, will revisit!

The ArchAndroid by Janelle Monáe
Jan 04 2026

This didnt resonate with me at all at first listen. Ive since revisited the album and think more highly of it. Cold War and Tightrope stand out as favorites. Also, her performance at the Rock Hall of Fame for Outkast was fucking great!

Queen II by Queen
Jan 05 2026

I haven't listened to Queen outside of the hits, so this album was new to me. I didn't know what to expect. How could Queen have an album where not even 1 song is a massive hit you hear everywhere? I still don't know the answer to that question, but, this album has songs that rip. Favorite tracks: Father to Son Ogre Battle March of the Black Queen

Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers by Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers
Jan 06 2026

Going into this, I only knew the hits, Breakdown and American Girl. Both songs I like a lot. After 2 listens, "Fooled Again (I Don't Like It)" and "The Wild One, Forever" stick out to me as songs I'll revisit. The rest of the album is so forgettable and the songs are so short. This sits right in the middle for me. American Girl really stands above the rest of the album by a lot, it almost sounds like a different band in the context of the rest of the album.

Odessey And Oracle by The Zombies
Jan 07 2026

A fun album start to finish. Each track compliments the previous. Nothing bored or annoyed me on this album. I will revisit this album on the porch on a summer evening. I think that's where I will really connect with it. Favorite Tracks: Friends of Mine Time of the Season Maybe After He's Gone Care of Cell 44

Green River by Creedence Clearwater Revival
Jan 08 2026

I listen to this album when I grill out in the summer. Its so familiar and comfortable.

Crime Of The Century by Supertramp
Jan 09 2026

Supertramp is so engrained in me from my years of working a terrible retail job where Supertramp played so much. Bloody Well Right and Dreamer take me right back to the days of restocking adult diapers in a drug store. Glory days. Liked Tracks: Dreamer

Jan 10 2026

I've heard about this Bob Dylan guy. His delivery is so much more annoying than I expected. Its actually making me have a physical reaction. First album so far I won't be finishing, I am too fucking irritated.

Shaka Zulu by Ladysmith Black Mambazo
Jan 11 2026

I know there is lore here that makes people think this is a masterpiece. Its not for me. Did I listen to this album? No, I dont own it and its not on streaming. Did I listen to the remake of it from 2017? Yes I did with headphones in while lying in bed. I thought it was soothing and interesting but I will never listen to it again. Unsure if I needed to hear this before I inevitably croak.

Triangle by The Beau Brummels
Jan 12 2026

Nope.

Stardust by Willie Nelson
Jan 13 2026

Very pleasant.

Black Metal by Venom
Jan 14 2026

This was completely new ro me, and Im really glad I heard it. The lyrics are really funny. Its like they were written by a brooding 15 year old. Everything is EVIL and everything RHYMES. The music rips.

Hotel California by Eagles
Jan 18 2026

Johnny come lately? More like Johnny go away forever. This album STINKS!

Junkyard by The Birthday Party
Jan 21 2026

I am a little familiar with Nick Cave, but had no clue about The Birthday Party. This is loud, obnoxious, shrill, abrasive, chaotic, sounds like shit, and honestly fun as hell. I don't know how often I'll revisit this album, but I can absolutely see it making into the rotation to match a very specific mood. This also was a fantastic break from a very long streak of 70s dad rock. So that's for that The Birthday Party!

One World by John Martyn
Jan 26 2026

John Martyn? More like John Fartyn because he STINKS. Jesus fucking christ. I couldn't stop cry-laugjing during track 2. 0 Stars. Please for the love of God give me an actual essential album I need to hear before I die. I am begging.

Trio by Dolly Parton

2112 by Rush
Feb 03 2026
Juju by Siouxsie And The Banshees
Feb 07 2026
High Violet by The National
Feb 13 2026

Legend has it the singer of this band was hooked up to an IV of NyQuil while binge drinking sleepy time tea during the recording of this album. When the singer sounds like he can't be bothered, why the fuck should I? Its so god damn boring and drones on forever. A genuine slog of an album.

Yeezus by Kanye West
Feb 23 2026
evermore by Taylor Swift
Feb 25 2026

This entire album could pass for an album generated on Suno. Seems everything HAS TO RHYME.
