Catch A Fire by Bob Marley & The Wailers
Feb 02 2026

Listened ~8am in the morning, off YT Music on the Sonos.

Meat Is Murder by The Smiths
Feb 03 2026

Listened while walking around (to and from lunch), seated at my desk, and driving home from work. Feels familiar but mostly just the voice and arrangement, not any particular tune. Very poetic. Loaded with room reverb.

The Genius Of Ray Charles by Ray Charles
Feb 04 2026

What a 180 from the Smiths yesterday. Listened in the car on the way into work.

Court And Spark by Joni Mitchell
Feb 06 2026

Thursday, so I'm listening at home in the living room. Pretty. Chill.

Heaven Or Las Vegas by Cocteau Twins
Feb 09 2026

Chill. Reminds me of Tame Impala kind of? Friday means listening at home, off the laptop. I like it; probably ~3?

Paul Simon by Paul Simon
Feb 10 2026

Definitely a hit and miss album. Listened to some of these a million times already and others are way out of left field.

The Downward Spiral by Nine Inch Nails
Feb 11 2026

Listened at my desk at work; industrial with moments of quiet vocals, definitely impactful but not an easy listen.

Hunky Dory by David Bowie
Feb 12 2026

Listened on the way home.

Feb 17 2026

Love this style of narrative song (see Harry Chapin too), but a whole album of the same tone is tough to manage. First track is a classic.

Run-D.M.C. by Run-D.M.C.
Feb 18 2026

Hard-hitting and classic.

Copper Blue by Sugar
Feb 20 2026

Feels very 90s to me; grunge adjacent?

Hounds Of Love by Kate Bush
Feb 23 2026

Very 80s -- impressively composed + produced, but not my style.

Led Zeppelin II by Led Zeppelin
Feb 24 2026

Love Zeppelin; not my favorite from them lyrically though.

Garbage by Garbage
Mar 02 2026

Classic grunge for me.

Sister by Sonic Youth

Channel Orange by Frank Ocean
Mar 16 2026

Love this one. Annoyed that I haven't listened to more Frank Ocean already.

Pink Moon by Nick Drake
Apr 13 2026

Sounds so ahead of its time, would never have guessed 1972.

Shleep by Robert Wyatt
Apr 22 2026
The Undertones by The Undertones
Apr 23 2026

Very much the Clash to my ears.
