"I totally respect Stevie Wonder's talent and his impact on music history, but this just isn't my personal vibe. The sound didn't really click with me. Respect the artist, but it's not my cup of tea
A great Album !
I Love IT!
Great vibes! I've never listened to this kind of Brazilian groove before, but it definitely put me in a good mood. Ended up saving a couple of tracks to my library. Really cool surprise and a well-deserved 3 stars
A piece of music history, I love this album!
I love the Stones—specifically *Sticky Fingers*. It was the first Stones album I ever listened to in its entirety, and I’m absolutely blown away—if only by those killer guitar riffs
Solide psychedelic album not special
A few of the songs are really good, while others aren't—but I can't give it more than 3 stars. It's a pretty good indie album.
A few good songs on there, but not quite my vibe.
Well, it's not for me; the first two songs were enough—I didn't listen to the whole thing.
I simply don't like Nick Drake's voice or singing style, and I find the album really boring—you keep waiting for something to happen, but nothing ever does. The only song on the album that I actually like is "Hazey Jane II
It's a good rock album, though I find that many of the songs sound similar—but it was fun to listen to.
It’s a solid album and it was fun to listen to. Saved a few tracks for my playlist, but nothing life-changing. A good 3/5."
Loved the melodies, but the constant guitar feedback made it a pretty exhausting listen. Still a really cool and unique album. A solid 4/5.
An absolute 5/5 masterpiece. I used to think Santana was just one guy, but this album proves what an incredibly tight band they are. The guitar work is legendary, but the piano and organ sections really blew me away and carry the whole groove. A perfect record
A solid 3/5. I'm a big Massive Attack fan and originally expected more of that classic 90s trip-hop vibe from Björk here. The electronic micro-beats were a bit too fragile for my personal taste, but the production is undeniably great. Not every song was for me, but I still found 3 or 4 really good tracks that I saved for my playlist
An incredibly atmospheric and moody record. I saved almost the entire tracklist because the production and the dark vibe are just amazing. It's a bit long and maybe a bit too heavy for everyday listening to be a perfect 5, but still a brilliant experience.
A huge change of pace. I respect the legendary status of Bob Marley and the reggae vibes are incredibly chill, but the whole album was a bit too relaxed for my everyday listening. Still, I saved 3 classic tracks including 'No Woman No Cry' for my playlist. A solid 3/5.
The perfect redemption after rating 'Lady Soul' a bit too low! This album is an absolute soul classic. I saved 8 tracks for my personal playlist, including 'Respect' and 'A Change Is Gonna Come'. The vibes are immaculate. A very strong 4/5.
It's alright—nothing special. It somehow had an unintentional Caribbean feel to it that just felt out of place.
The first half of this album is absolute post-punk perfection. The raw, driving energy and military-style drums create exactly the kind of dark, aggressive atmosphere I love. I honestly thought I was listening to a 5/5 masterpiece because the A-side is incredibly strong, especially 'New Year's Day'. But the B-side completely lost me. It dropped that intense energy entirely and felt like a huge drop-off. Still, the first five tracks are legendary and went straight into my playlist. A solid 4/5
Time Out of Mind is the first Bob Dylan album I’ve listened to, and I’m surprised it didn’t bore me—I actually really liked it! At times, it reminded me of Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds and soundtracks like Peaky Blinders. I’m a big fan of melancholic and vulnerable music, and this album really resonated with me.solide 4
"I have to admit, I was already familiar with this album, but listening to it again just confirms its status as an absolute 5/5 masterpiece. Tracks like 'Under The Pressure' and 'Red Eyes' have this incredible, relentless forward momentum that I absolutely love. It perfectly balances that driving, energetic beat with a massive, melancholic 'night-drive' atmosphere. The way the vocals blend into the mix, acting almost like another instrument, creates a dreamy wall of sound that completely pulls you in. A flawless record from start to finish.
There are definitely a few really good tracks on this album that I enjoyed and added to my playlist. The minimalist, atmospheric vibe is cool at first. However, my main issue is that almost all the songs sound exactly the same. The lack of variety makes it feel a bit monotonous over the full runtime. It’s a cool signature sound, but just too repetitive for me to rate it any higher. A solid 3/5.
"I have to be honest, classic 70s soul and R&B just isn't my genre. The softer tracks and ballads on this album simply didn't click with me at all because they lack the darker, more energetic edge I usually look for in music. However, I have to give massive credit to 'Papa Was A Rollin' Stone'. That track is an absolute masterpiece. The dark, cinematic atmosphere and that relentless, driving bassline over the full 11 minutes perfectly hit my vibe. But since that was the only song I actually saved from the entire record, I have to settle for a 2/5
As a big post-punk fan, I really enjoyed this album. While not every single track is an absolute masterpiece, it's a very strong record overall and just a lot of fun to listen to. A well-deserved 4/5.
"I can definitely see where the 'cover band' criticisms for this group come from. For the most part, this album is just way too cheesy, theatrical, and overproduced for my taste. It completely lacks the raw energy or darker, atmospheric edge I usually look for in music. However, I have to admit that 'Detroit Rock City' is a solid, driving rock anthem, and 'God Of Thunder' actually has a fantastic heavy, menacing riff that completely caught my attention. I saved those two tracks, but the rest of the record is just not for me. A fair 2/5
I actually really like guitar-heavy music, but this album didn't move me at all—apart from "Layla," there's really nothing special about it. I find the album very overrated.
That album really surprised me; I thought the mix of soul and hip-hop was really good. The beats—especially the ones with guitar, like the track with Santana—were fantastic. Not every song was great, though; I didn't like the one with D'Angelo at all. Still, the album as a whole is really fun.
It’s simply not my taste in music—it’s just too soft for me—but I have to say one thing: Marvin Gaye has a great voice.
I’m outing myself as a David Bowie fanboy. This album isn't his best, but it is the saddest; "Lazarus" is one of my all-time favorite songs of his. Even though not every track is quite my cup of tea, it’s a worthy farewell from this genius.
I love Eminem—he's my favorite rapper—but I don't think this album is his best. I definitely prefer the sadder, more depressed and melancholic Eminem over this crazy, cartoonish style. Plus, I find the skits really annoying since they just interrupt the flow. I still saved the darker tracks like 'Rock Bottom' and 'If I Had' because they fit my vibe, but overall it's not my favorite record of his.
I love melancholic music; I thought the first half of the album was great, with its minimalist acoustic guitar and electronic influences
total nonsense
What can I say – just sit back and enjoy this album. The instrumentation and the 'beats' are absolutely outstanding. I love everything about this record, and somehow it reminds me in parts of Pink Floyd, one of my favorite bands. I'm usually not a fan of funk or soul at all, but this album is just different. A masterpiece.
Pretty boring, and secondly, I’m not a country fan; a few of the instruments are actually cool, but I wouldn’t listen to it a second time
I'm actually a big indie rock fan, but this album is nothing but boring; it was really a chore to listen to.
Somehow, I just can't seem to warm up to Depeche Mode, even though a few individual songs on this album are actually really good."
For me, it’s an absolute masterpiece from start to finish. The combination of orchestral arrangements and electronic influences is top-notch, and the overall vibe just feels perfectly right. It plays like a brilliant blend of Pink Floyd and Radiohead. 5/5.
I’m not going to out myself as a Swiftie; I mean, I imagined it would be worse, but it’s just not my cup of tea.
This album features one of the best songs of all time, but it’s not by the Scissor Sisters...
But I really have to say, listening to the album was fun and there are a few good songs on it; it really surprised me.
A few songs are good, too, but I think the album is mainly overrated, especially when I look at the 4.00 rating on Rate Your Music.
