Listening statistics & highlights
I’ve heard this one before a while ago Beautiful voice “A Case of You” is a highlight but overall the album doesn’t have enough to stand out for me to listen to it regularly
My general impression is that it’s a really accessible jazz album with some catchy melodies but I’m not sure if it makes me feel much besides being pleasant to listen to at a coffee shop. It might be one of those things where it was an innovative style at the time but now it’s so omni-present that it just feels like background music. But “Take Five” and “Blue Rondo” are fun and I wouldn’t mind putting the album on as just a chill vibe.
Cool album but the long jams don’t really do it for me. “Summertime” is great though.
