The Yes Album by Yes
Aug 18 2026

Felt way different than their later stuff, but somewhat enjoyable.

Kid A by Radiohead

Not Usually a Nirvana fan, but the somber and intimate nature of this record really hits home, especially in the context of Kurt's death 5 months after this recording. "The Man Who Sold the World" by David Bowie, is a song i already loved, and this cover is a stand-out. Fun fact, Kurt's cardigan he wore for this performance sold for $334,000, the most expensive sweater ever sold

Melodrama by Lorde
Aug 26 2026

I have always found Lorde's voice to be mesmerizing. Liability and Writer in the dark are absolutely emotional stand-outs for me. Amazing album

Coat Of Many Colors by Dolly Parton
Aug 27 2026

Not normally a country guy, but from the jump, the first song disarmed me and forced me to listen in delight with the songwriting. Not gonna seek out more in the genre, but I'll try to be more open next country album. You'll be missed Dolly

Shadowland by k.d. lang

expected not to mess with this, but then i was transported to a smokey jazz club/burlesque show that i really jelled with. Busy Being Blue was my fav

Genre creating record that sparked the careers of 2 iconic figures. Some of the rapping hasn't aged the best(Whether it be flow and rhythm/or the lyrics themselves), but shows the life and trials of Compton and places like it. This shot hip hop into the mainstream basically for the first time, and could no longer be ignored. Hard not to feel some of the power of some of these tracks almost 40 years later.

Bone Machine by Tom Waits

This album won a Grammy...
