Ryan Adams
2/5
At a concert in October 2002, at Nashville's Ryman Auditorium, someone in the audience yelled out a request for "Summer of '69", a hit by the similarly named Bryan Adams. Adams reacted with a stream of expletives, and ordered the house lights turned on, The Tennessean newspaper reported. He eventually found the fan who made the joke request, paid him $30 cash as a refund for the show, ordered him to leave, and said he would not play another note until he had left.
He's also a pedophile (alledgedly)

Good album, good band... The vocals never sounded good enough for me... But it's growing on me. I'll give Smashing pumpkins another try ☺️
Frank Zappa
3/5
You can almost smell the patchouli coming out of the speakers... Now I understand why my dad likes Zappa so much...
Another thing is that I can't look at Zappa without thinking about Borat... So I imagine Zappa at the end of each song saying "Great success", "my wiiiiife, she's nice"
Al Green

If we are here to judge albums then this one is bad. It has 3 times the same song. Even if it is a nice song... Good music, bad collections of songs... definitely not a concept album.
Ryan Adams
3/5
“I never see pics of you anymore,” Adams wrote in November 2014, when he had just turned 40 and Ava was newly 16. “You were blowing my mind.” He had pet names for her body parts.
So it turns out Ryan Adams is not as romantic as I thought....

There is no reason for this album to be here... I mean, yes it is the 1001 albums you must listen to before you die and all that BS... but c'mon, are we going to listen to a Samba album? Tango album? K-pop? Japanese Ska? African tribal songs? Chinese... whatever they listen to? If the answer is no, then this album doesn't belong here. We all know the list is american-centered anyway...

Elliott Smith
2/5
Smith was a heavy drinker and drug user at times throughout his life, and was diagnosed with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and depression. His struggles with drugs and mental illness affected his life and work, and often appeared in his lyrics. In 2003, aged 34, he died in Los Angeles, California, from two stab wounds to the chest.[8] The autopsy evidence was inconclusive as to whether the wounds were self-inflicted or the result of homicide.[9] At the time of his death, Smith was working on his sixth studio album, From a Basement on the Hill, which was posthumously produced and released in 2004.
And now I understand the tone of the album...

The lyrics are the result of a request by Caetano to his companions Gil and Capinam to make a composition containing a tribute to Che Guevara who, as the country was still living under the dictatorship, had his name replaced also at Caetano's suggestion, by the phrase "el nombre del hombre muerto"; Caetano also points out that, even without being aware of it, they wrote the lyrics in Portuguese, already enshrining in the title an error that became patent when singer Celia Cruz (who initially refused to record the song when she learned that it was honoring the former Argentine guerrilla) when he came to Brazil he changed the expression to the correct form: "Estoy loco por ti America".[1] The artist declared: "Capinam has made a wonderful thing out of a wish of mine".[1]
It is one of the most representative songs of Tropicalismo.[2]

Jeff Buckley
3/5
On the evening of May 29, 1997, Buckley's band flew to Memphis to join him in his studio to work on his new material. The same evening, Buckley went swimming fully dressed in Wolf River Harbor, a slack water channel of the Mississippi River, singing the chorus of "Whole Lotta Love" by Led Zeppelin. Keith Foti, a roadie in Buckley's band, remained on shore. After moving a radio and guitar out of reach of the wake from a passing tugboat, Foti looked up to see that Buckley had vanished. The wake of the tug boat had swept him away from shore and under water. A rescue effort that night and the morning after by scuba teams and police failed to discover him. On June 4, passengers on the American Queen riverboat spotted his body in the Wolf River caught in some branches, and he was brought to land.
Buckley's autopsy showed no signs of drugs or alcohol in his system, and the death was ruled an accidental drowning. The official Jeff Buckley website published a statement saying that his death was not mysterious and was not a suicide.

“I Shot the Sheriff” is originally written and popularized by Bob Marley. Clapton first heard the song when a member of his band played it and convinced to make their own version of the song. At first, Clapton did not want to use it on their album because he thinks it might seem disrespectful for Marley. His members and managers convinced him that it should not only be included on the album but also be released as a single.
Yeah... I'm sure he thought it was disrespectful... Lol

In January 2022, Young demanded that Spotify pull his tracks off its service in protest of the company's failure to curb Covid misinformation in “The Joe Rogan Experience” podcast. He said Spotify “can have Rogan or Young. Not both.” Spotify removed Young's songs on Jan 26.
In a letter posted on his Neil Young Archives website titled "My Return to Low Res Spotify," the Canadian singer-songwriter explained his choice to put his music back on the platform. "My decision comes as music services Apple and Amazon have started serving the same disinformation podcast features I had opposed at Spotify," he wrote.
"I cannot just leave Apple and Amazon, like I did Spotify, because my music would have very little streaming outlet to music lovers at all, so I have returned to Spotify, in sincere hopes that Spotify sound quality will improve and people will be able to hear and feel all the music as we made it. Qobuz and Tidal, where my music is presented, are all high res as well."
