Stunning. A prefect work of art. The man was 19 when he composed the album and it took him 6 months. An absolute masterpiece
Loved it. Never listened to an entire Doors album. This is down to my assumption that they were pretty depressing to listen. I’ve been missing out though. It had everything, and Maggie Magill the last song was sensational
Probably one of the worst albums I’ve ever heard
Absolute classics for Christmas Day, better than all the modern crap
Hold back the rain was brilliant. New religion bass line is incredible. Overall enjoyed
Tutti Fruiti really enjoyable. One sided love affair is powerful too. Overall didn’t enjoy as much as I thought.
Very bleak and a hard listen. I appreciate the influence had on many of the bands I dig like Nirvana. An early indie inception of NIN. Lacks the teeth of it industrial baby. Isolation stands out.
Absolute classics for Christmas Day, better than all the modern crap
Brings back memories of listening to crusaders and George benson on tape in the car. A lovely funky jazzy Motown album that was a joy to listen to
U2 in their prime. Still not enough for me. A handful of decent tracks but nothing to blow your socks off
Despite being one of their most acclaimed albums, it’s one of my least favourites (of there’s). That being said, it is still incredible and a truly masterful piece of work. They don’t make music like this anymore
A pleasant listen but nothing more
Nice and folky but just more background music for me. Wasn’t blown away by any of it.
Stunning. A prefect work of art. The man was 19 when he composed the album and it took him 6 months. An absolute masterpiece
It was underwhelming to say the least. The last 2 tracks were the best - a very good vocal performance from Homme on the title track. Overall not their best work
Appreciate it’s a classic but I don’t particularly enjoy Paul Simon. An easy listen. He went to extreme lengths to record this in Africa due to the conflict so kudos for that
Not my scene. Couldn’t get into it and it all felt all over the place.
A pleasant listen but not my thing
Enjoyably, more so than velvet underground. Quite a distinct twang in the guitar sound which was nice
Superb. Not quite a 5 star experience but there isn’t anything to crumble about.
Loved it. Never listened to an entire Doors album. This is down to my assumption that they were pretty depressing to listen. I’ve been missing out though. It had everything, and Maggie Magill the last song was sensational
One of the OG prog rock bands and a really good listen. Massively influential to so many acts following in their footsteps
Simple tunes but a stunning voice and style.
Gritty thrashy death metal. A fun listen. I didn’t understand a single lyric.
I prefer The Black album, but still an outstanding piece of work
Massively enjoyable album. I felt a lot of emotion throughout. I don’t know for sure what story the album was telling, but it was well told that’s for sure.
I just couldn’t get into it. Wanted to enjoy it more than I did. I think they had a lot of sexy times whilst making this album
Similar to soft cell in that I wanted so much more from the album. Disappointed
I only liked the track with dusty Springfield
Nothing hugely original here but a really good listen none the less. 3.5 stars
I can’t lie. I love ole Reginald. Incredible pianist and song writer. Full marks
Irritating
Sensational. Sleepy, dreamy and psychedelic. Almost a 5
I gave it a go but it’s not my thing. A pleasant singing voice but I couldn’t get into it. 2stars
Probably one of the worst albums I’ve ever heard
Some pretty jaunty tunes, some slow and some about drugs. What’s not to like
Was a great little listen, odd in places due to the drug taking is imagine
Not much dissimilar from concrete school yard but that isn’t a bad thing
Likeable but not mind blowing. 3.5 stars. Mental Stamina and Bichez stand out
Better than the last VU album but not by much. Not my thing I’m afraid
Effing loved it
If I wanted to hear the same bullshit on repeat for an hour I’d speak to my wife
Bloody hard going. Not a pleasant listen
Nothing enjoyable about this I’m afraid
Started off strong and la grange is a classic of course.
Very very enjoyable
Okie as good for a workout, wouldn’t listen at any other time though.
