Can see why this is a classic, even if it's not entirely my cup of tea.
Got to give this five stars, so nice to listen to this properly.
Poundshop Prince. Far too serious!
Listened a few times a new favourite.
Quite a lot in here that I had heard without realising what it was, superb album I will definitely return to.
So much better than I expected, remastered version, awesome.
Not my bag baby!!
A lot better than I expected.
Upbeat and a bit weird. What a great combination.
Still good, not sure if it's better than Original Pirate Material though
Not so bad,
Very pleasant. Ok I am being churlish, it's god though!!
I can tell this is a good example of a genre that I'm not particularly fond of. Innit.
Just like being in Tariq's
Bit of a revelation this - shows what I know - not a whole lot!!
Not really sure how this made it onto the 1001 list, but I can only assume it's bribery.
Just wow, but careful about listening to the first track with any sort of hangover - although the stereo effects are pretty cool.
Enjoyed this, two listens.
There is no denying this is a classic!
Easily, easily, easily one of the best albums ever made.
Not so convinced about the classic status.
Super bloody awesomezorz
Ol' wobby-head has still got it.
Not exactly chirpy.
A master of the genre, you can't fail to admire the polished production on this album.
A lot of very recognisable stuff here that I never realised was Tracy Chapman.
Not what you might think.
This reminds me of Tania Maria who I am pleased to discover is not dead.
Possibly a fine example of C&W music, and fine if you like that sort of thing. Sounds like whining to me.
Still awesome from start to finish.
Some of this is great, it's all pretty accomplished. Vocals are a bit whiney.
Can't beat a bit of Madge.
It's so easy to forget there's more to some of these bigtime artists than the stuff you hear all the time - this is a great album.
When you're bored of Blondie you're bored of life.
Never heard this all the way through before today, and this won't be the last time. Not necessarily chill out but necessarily cool nonetheless.
Weird in a good way. No relation to Jackie Weaver.
Funky, sexy and hilarious in equal measure. Pop's glittering sex dwarf at his very best.
Drips with cool.
What the hell is this crap? I imagine the Taliban might play this to extract information from their prisoners. Make it stop.
Great song but a million times on one album? It's good but... Not that good!
Very chilled, would listen a third time
Despite the morose whine and so-so lyrics, some of the best keyboarding ever.
Still sounds pretty new and fresh!
So good individually, but put all these great songs on one album and after about twenty minutes you start vomiting.
Superb from start to finish.
If Lewis's department store was still going, they would be playing this.
If there were such a thing as a thoroughly enjoyable bad trip, this is what it might sound like. Very dramatic.
Superb, and years ahead of its time.
Well I listened to it.
If there was a three and a half, I'd give it three and a half.
True understated genius.
I thought I would hate this, I am almost disappointed that I like it. Who knew.
Not precisely my cup of tea but listenable
Superb. I'd rate it six stars if that was an option.
What a load of old shit.
Really very groovy!
Hard to believe this is as old as it is!
Notoriously middle of the road.
See I do enjoy Kraftwerk, but the repetition on this one is jarring to the point of irritation rarely heard before the invention of Cocomelon.
Probably would benefit from another listen - I like Tori Amos but I'd probably go for the more poppy stuff I am ashamed to admit!
