Popular Reviews

Yeezus by Kanye West

The only good thing I can say about this album is that I found the sampling of Bound 2 to be groovy. Everything else was really bad. Like, the 'I feel gross and should shower now' kinda bad. I regret listening to this.

Let's Stay Together by Al Green

Wasn't my jam. Wasn't particularly bad either, just wasn't feeling this.

Machine Head by Deep Purple
Sep 25 2021

I'm not huge into rock/metal, but this was okay. Felt like something that would come on the radio while driving that I'd leave on in the event of me not hooking up my aux. Smoke on the Water was a huge win of course, taking me back to pep band

Nilsson Schmilsson by Harry Nilsson
Sep 26 2021

Pretty good. Reminds me of some good older tunes, but some of these I'd consider adding to a playlist

Sep 27 2021

Surprisingly better than my first impression led me to believe. One of those albums I could see myself listening to on a rainy day, walking around in a sort of trance

Rum Sodomy & The Lash by The Pogues
Sep 28 2021

A little intense for 6am, but kinda groovy pirate music. I'd listen to a few of these again, but not the entire album in one sitting.

Disraeli Gears by Cream
Sep 29 2021

3.5/5 Good music, pretty groovy, but not something I'd be in the mood for all of the time

Maxinquaye by Tricky
Sep 30 2021

Not my grooves. Sounded kinda like gta v car radio and the songs were bonkers long

Sincere by Mj Cole
Oct 01 2021

Very long album and its not my vibe at all. I think it was just before my time and just a little below interesting enough for me to be able to climb on board.

Document by R.E.M.
Oct 02 2021

Pretty groovy. Definitely could listen to this and jam out a little if it came on, but I wouldn't choose it over most of my current music

There's A Riot Goin' On by Sly & The Family Stone
Oct 04 2021

Not good. Doesn't need to be this long and it isn't very interesting.

More Specials by The Specials
Oct 06 2021

Not very interesting, just didn't groove with it.

Oct 07 2021

Way too hyper sexual for me. 2 stars because I had to listen to the song "sex dwarf"

Soul Mining by The The
Oct 08 2021

Not very interesting

Arrival by ABBA
Oct 09 2021

Some real bangers in this one. Good listen for sure

The Soft Bulletin by The Flaming Lips
Oct 10 2021

Not bad. Some of the songs were just... noisy. Like, the vocals were just quiet enough that I got way too much everything else

Guitar Town by Steve Earle
Oct 11 2021

Listened to this after pulling an all nighter for a hackathon. God it didn't help keep me awake on the way home

Forever Changes by Love
Oct 12 2021

Pretty good. Not particularly memorable individual songs, but good overall

Wild Gift by X

Alright. A little edgy and all of the songs sound the same

Dusty In Memphis by Dusty Springfield
Oct 16 2021

Some of these were pretty good. A little light for a morning commute

At San Quentin by Johnny Cash
Oct 17 2021

Licensed To Ill by Beastie Boys
Oct 27 2021

.... Are all of these songs about how much sex they are having? This could not be less interesting or fun to listen to.

Street Life by The Crusaders
Oct 28 2021

It's alright. Just 40 min of mostly instrumental jazz. Not my first pick for most circumstances

3 + 3 by The Isley Brothers
Oct 29 2021

A little sleepy. Not my groove

Nov 01 2021

Close to a 4, but I don't feel quite that strongly.

Parallel Lines by Blondie
Nov 02 2021

A Wizard, A True Star by Todd Rundgren

Just noisy

Nov 09 2021

Some of these were okay, but it got old

Appetite For Destruction by Guns N' Roses
Nov 10 2021

Pretty good. Groovy jams, but questionable lyrics/subject matter. Also these songs are so overused in movies so that detracts from them too

It's alright. Some of these were pretty neat, others forgettable.

69 Love Songs by The Magnetic Fields

So so so so long. Some of these were good. Others felt like the throw away games on those cheap knock off 42 in 1 video game consoles. Need some filler to hit the numbers.

Viva Hate by Morrissey
Nov 28 2021

An okay listen. Sometimes I forgot I was listening to it

Nov 29 2021

The music itself is alright. I like that he doesn't hide his lyrics and voice behind a ton of noise and production. That said, the lyrics about rape, killing children, and homophobic slurs might have turned me off this one...

Queen II by Queen
Nov 30 2021
