The music that plays when you get kicked out of a cantina.
Weird album. Weird in the best way though. I might not revisit this album in a long time but it definitely left an impression on me. That is a big contrast from other albums on this list that I forget about after I click on the 3 stars.
This does absolutely nothing for me. My breakfast gave me more emotional resonance.
Frankly Mr. Shankly - favorite I know it's over reminds me of a depressing prom song.
One of the few perfect albums. All the emotions behind each of these songs still resonate today.
Makin' whoopee is the best title I've heard in a while.
This does absolutely nothing for me. My breakfast gave me more emotional resonance.
I came in only knowing that one song everyone knows so my expectation were pretty lukewarm. Most of the songs completely leap over I'm Only Happy When It Rains.
Did not like the start. Liked the middle. Hated the end. It was a rollercoaster of tepid water.
Exactly what I expected for the good and the bad.
I may be blinded by nostalgia a bit but I overall enjoyed the album. Though there really is a reason I have never tried to listen to the entire thing before.
Albums like this are exactly why I'm going through this project. Some albums you slog through. This one flew by.
I'm a sucker for smokey singing voices.
Atmospheric while also never just melding into the background.
I have no nostalgia for this album but I can still appreciate how impactful this one is.
Don't panic was the only song that was interesting at least.
Never thought much of the Bee Gees. Had some good songs scattered around but most of it is easy to forget at best.
This didn't feel like a typical Bee Gees album. If that is a good or bad thing I really can't say. Either way it didn't leave me with much of an impression.
Calming melodies with some strong lyrics. Not my cup of tea but still really good.
It's one of those bands I feel like I should like more than I actually do. About a third of the songs did anything for me. The rest of it at least was not a chore to get through. Take Me to the River was probably my favorite
One of those few and far between perfect albums.
I wasn't expecting to like this but all of the songs were great
Keep this album in mind next time I just want something good and mellow.
I want to like it more than I do. I'll give it another shot someday but it's nothing I'm dying over.
What I figure the 70's was exclusively playing.
Not the best written but I'm a sucker for a smokey voice.
A little hard to find at first but the songs were amazing.
I'll give this another go someday but right now this album just didn't do much for me.
I liked it when I first heard it but it did not leave much of an impression on me afterwards
The music that plays when you get kicked out of a cantina.
I've never heard her sing before. Damn I was missing out. I can see why there was so much love for Birthday.
Felt like a solidly good album. Not my favorite by a mile but it's smooth and calming. That's all you need for a Tuesday
This is an album where going into it I already knew most of the songs. I can't say it did much for me. Maybe the appeal is in the nostalgia. I can't say
Cupid is going to be stuck in my head for the next couple of months. I am completely okay with that.
I didn't fall asleep so that's something.
Haven't heard this album in forever. I forgot how much I liked it.
Solid album. I don't have any nostalgia towards this album but I still very much enjoyed most of the songs.
Aladdin Sane can stay stuck in my head forever.
"I was blinded by the balls on that kid." It's odd to have this album associated to Kevin Spacey but in spite of that I loved this album.
I've never been a jazz expert but I can still enjoy how great this album is. Explaining how great this is may be another question.
This was a long album. A lot of filler but also a lot of memorably enjoyable songs. Some of it is a little experimental and that might not be everyone's cup of tea. I liked it but I'll probably not be listening to all of it in one go again.
I wanted to like this more than I actually did. Ill give it another go some day but today I was just not feeling it. It might be some leftover fatigue from the album I had before.
This felt like one of the few original sounding albums I have heard in a while. There are so many layers of influence but combined it feels like something that is not made often or maybe ever.
Probably my least leaked Billie Holiday album. It quickly fades into background music for me.
There hasn't been an album I wanted to like a lot more than I actually did. I'll give it another shot one day but this was a days long trudge for me.
Didn't hate it. Didn't love it. Don't remember a single song. Was I asleep?
Perfectly average album. I enjoyed pretty much all the songs but I can't say it left an impression on me
An album that from the start had me hooked. A couple of songs towards the middle I did not find as amazing but overall still a really great album
I loved the start and got lukewarm towards the end. Still overall enjoyable with many added to my liked list
Great intro that feels like is the peak of the album. Nothing else felt like it reached that level for me.
Just a good album. I think this might be the first full Ray Charles album I've heard and I am slightly ashamed by that fact.
Weird album. Weird in the best way though. I might not revisit this album in a long time but it definitely left an impression on me. That is a big contrast from other albums on this list that I forget about after I click on the 3 stars.
Live albums have never been my thing but this will always be the exception.
Such a great album especially for someone who does not gravitate towards that music at all. It was enjoyable the entire way through
Did not expect this to be as good as it was. That's on me.
I'm a sucker for folk music on Fridays. Probably liked it more than I regularly would but here we are.
Seeing this live is on my time machine bucket list.
Good album that was able to compete with it's big hit.
A nice mix of psychedelic and silly.
Never been much my genre but it's still a really solid album.
Didn't feel like anything special. I didn't hate it or love it. It just is.
Solid album but it did not leave the biggest impression on me.
I give this a five star rating. Mainly out of fear that if I give it any less a time traveling version of myself will punch me in the gut.
I remember thinking this was one of the cheasiest albums I have ever heard. I think I can finally appreciate how just genuinely good it is.
Great album, no skips and just an all out good time. Favorite song was Revolution
