Out Of The Blue by Electric Light Orchestra
Sep 06 2022

Solid beats. Started strong, dragged a bit in the middle and finished strong.

The Next Day by David Bowie
Sep 07 2022

This had some good singles, but I always found later Bowie stuff was less interesting than the early Bowie music.

The Fat Of The Land by The Prodigy
Sep 08 2022

Had this as a teenager. Totally forgot how awesome this album is!

Hot Buttered Soul by Isaac Hayes
Sep 09 2022

I’ve only ever known Isaac Hayes as Chef from Southpark, but I enjoyed the groove on this album! A definite classic.

Bookends by Simon & Garfunkel
Sep 13 2022

Based on what information in the Wikipedia article, I would say that this album is best listened to on vinyl. There is a definite theme for the first half (side A) and a bunch of decent songs on the second half (side B). It is disjointed when listening on a stream as they don’t compliment each other at all. Having to flip a record would help provide a proper demarcation between the two concepts..

Blur by Blur
Sep 14 2022

I liked the more experimental “grunge” sound.

The Stooges by The Stooges
Sep 15 2022

One of the foundational leaders in the punk movement. This is a solid album which keeps a certain chaotic sound that counters to the hippies of the 60’s.

Melody A.M. by Röyksopp
Sep 16 2022

Good, chill album with some good beats.

Endtroducing..... by DJ Shadow
Sep 19 2022

This was a very cool listen! I can definitely hear the mixes that inspired other artists (beastie boys, fatboyslim) from around this time.

Sep 22 2022

A single listen does not do it justice. There are so many layers happening in these songs! Drugs and more listens would help!

Bad by Michael Jackson
Sep 23 2022

Pretty much peak 80’s.

Illinois by Sufjan Stevens
Sep 27 2022

Wow. Didn’t realize the whole album was this good.

Californication by Red Hot Chili Peppers
Sep 28 2022

One of the best albums of the late 90’s.
