Mar 02 2023

I've never been a huge fan of the Kinks, preferring the rockier early 60s albums, and this album, while sardonic, just seems uninteresting

Closer by Joy Division

Be by Common

Nixon by Lambchop

Born In The U.S.A. by Bruce Springsteen
Mar 14 2023

A misunderstood classic protest album, I've heard the song Born in the USA so many times I didn't bother re-listening to, but the rest of the tracks are so blood good it wasn't missed, in fact it was a relief.

Ragged Glory by Neil Young & Crazy Horse
Mar 16 2023

Ashamed to say I haven't listened to this since it came out. Nice grungy R&R a la Neil Young

The Soft Bulletin by The Flaming Lips
Mar 21 2023

There’s som flaming lips I like and some I don’t. Simple as that.

Hail To the Thief by Radiohead
Mar 23 2023

Occasionally I come across a Radiohead song I like, but not frequently. This is one of those bands that I feel are supposed to like, but...

American Idiot by Green Day
Mar 30 2023

Not a fan of Green Day, still not. The pre-genitors of whiney boy rock wanna-be punk rock bands.

Pornography by The Cure
Apr 03 2023

Probably my fave cure album, the last gasp af angst before the pop takeover

Either Or by Elliott Smith
Apr 06 2023

a classic. Haven’t listened to this in a few years, god knows why..

Exile In Guyville by Liz Phair
Apr 07 2023

Brings me back. Simple, raw, confessionary, in your face. Influential.

To Pimp A Butterfly by Kendrick Lamar
Apr 12 2023

How did I never hear this guy? Liked the acid jazzy stuff, harder time with the others

Caetano Veloso by Caetano Veloso
Apr 13 2023

A smorgasbord of styles and sounds. Wonderful

Hot Buttered Soul by Isaac Hayes
Apr 14 2023

Good god, what a great album. So many samples I didn't know. Another "how did this slip between the cracks" album.

Mermaid Avenue by Billy Bragg
Apr 19 2023

Wilco + Billy Bragg? What's not to like?

Aftermath by The Rolling Stones
Apr 20 2023

Wow, lyrics are light years ahead of the actual music, with a couple of exceptions. Somehow, I've heard all the songs but never actually listened to the whole album. When you compare this album to the competitors released the same year, it just sounds unimaginative, but the lyrics, good god.

21 by Adele
Apr 24 2023

Milquetoast, good voice, uninspiring music

At Folsom Prison by Johnny Cash
Apr 25 2023

I like Johnny cash, but his earlier albums, while good musical theater, are not terribly musically inspiring. Won’t stop me from listening to him…

The Slider by T. Rex
Apr 26 2023

Why don’t I listen to T Rex more often?

Protection by Massive Attack
May 01 2023

Not my favorite MA album but a peach nonetheless..

Tusk by Fleetwood Mac
May 02 2023

I remember this being a bit of a let down after Rumours, but it's still strong

Nebraska by Bruce Springsteen
May 03 2023

Bar none, the best Springsteen album.

May 04 2023

I haven't listened to this in a while, no doubt who influenced this album. It's held up pretty well, though does get a little monotonous at times...

In Utero by Nirvana
May 08 2023

Not my favorite N album, Bleach is, but after having not listened to this in a while, like 15 years, it's still fresh and innovative. The re-listen improved my opinion of this record

Tapestry by Carole King
May 09 2023

A classic….this type of music is not my cup of tea, but what a great albumm.

Darklands by The Jesus And Mary Chain
May 10 2023
Endtroducing..... by DJ Shadow
May 11 2023

A more poppy less harsh version of TJMC, I prefer the rawer psycho candy

Scott 4 by Scott Walker
May 12 2023

I tried to put myself in the Tim this album came out… didn’t help

Hotel California by Eagles
May 15 2023

I can't listen to this album one more time...

New York Dolls by New York Dolls
May 17 2023

Never listened this as a whole thing. Ahead of its time.

Grace by Jeff Buckley
May 22 2023
Sheet Music by 10cc
Jun 19 2023

I like some 10CC I don't like others, this is in the middle.

Immigrés by Youssou N'Dour
Jun 23 2023

Wow, great, always forget about him.

Neon Bible by Arcade Fire
Jul 08 2023

Never was a huge fan. Still not

Life's Too Good by The Sugarcubes
