1001 Albums Summary

I've never been a huge fan of the Kinks, preferring the rockier early 60s albums, and this album, while sardonic, just seems uninteresting

A misunderstood classic protest album, I've heard the song Born in the USA so many times I didn't bother re-listening to, but the rest of the tracks are so blood good it wasn't missed, in fact it was a relief.

Ashamed to say I haven't listened to this since it came out. Nice grungy R&R a la Neil Young

Occasionally I come across a Radiohead song I like, but not frequently. This is one of those bands that I feel are supposed to like, but...

Sam Cooke , great voice, so smooth, but the album seemed a bit repetitive

Not a fan of Green Day, still not. The pre-genitors of whiney boy rock wanna-be punk rock bands.

It's OK, I was never a fan of these bands, though upon listening to the album, I did enjoy the tongue and cheekiness...

Wilco + Billy Bragg? What's not to like?

Wow, lyrics are light years ahead of the actual music, with a couple of exceptions. Somehow, I've heard all the songs but never actually listened to the whole album. When you compare this album to the competitors released the same year, it just sounds unimaginative, but the lyrics, good god.

Milquetoast, good voice, uninspiring music

I like Johnny cash, but his earlier albums, while good musical theater, are not terribly musically inspiring. Won’t stop me from listening to him…

Why don’t I listen to T Rex more often?

I haven't listened to this in a while, no doubt who influenced this album. It's held up pretty well, though does get a little monotonous at times...

Not my favorite N album, Bleach is, but after having not listened to this in a while, like 15 years, it's still fresh and innovative. The re-listen improved my opinion of this record
