Grizzly BearWhen the music was uptempo, it sounded pretty good. The problem is it was only uptempo for about 20% of the album.

This one really conflicts me, because I was liking it until I got two-thirds of the way through the album, and then my brain said, "Okay, I've had my fill of Bob Dylan's voice and harmonica." I pretty much liked all the songs individually, but I am just not set up to listen to an entire album of Bob Dylan in one sitting.
Enjoyed the album, definitely going to come back to this one every so often.
I had heard Clocks before, and thought it was okay. Every other song on the album was either too long, too slow, or both.
I definitely appreciate that this is a very good rap album. At the same time, it's pretty unlikely that I'm going to listen to this album again.
I listened to this once through and seriously thought, "What the hell did I just listen to?" And I was prepared to toss this on the pile of 1s. But our listening group figured out, this was kind of meant to be an over the top, comedic-leaning sort of endeavor. I gave it a second listen. Don't get me wrong, the album is still strange, but now that I know it's supposed to be strange, I think I actually like it.

I already knew and liked over after the songs on this album, and the other half I hadn't heard was great, too. Only song that wasn't on the same level was I'm in Touch With Your World, but otherwise a great album from start to finish.
I *do not like* gravelly Jim Morrison. Like fingernails on a blackboard. For the two recognizable songs that are fine where he doesn't sing gravelly: 1.5/5.
The first half of the album was really uneven, and hard to get into because it bounced between faster and slower songs. It started getting more consistent starting at track 8, but then it was over. Groove Is In the Heart was good, as always. 2.5/5
Transylvania Blues was not bad. The rest was.
Pretty good album. Only knock against it was when it went a little too experimental/improv for my taste, but otherwise a solid album that I’d listen to again.
I didn’t much care for it on the first listen, but something in my mind told me to give it another listen. It’s very complex music, and it’s definitely a very challenging listen, but I think I’m actually growing to like it.
Front half of the album was a little better than the back half, but a good album overall. Enjoyed a lot of the piano work.
Wonderful mix of musical styles and genres. This was my first exposure to his music; I will definitely be checking out more. Amazing.
I haven’t listened to this album straight through in 25+ years. And I think I’m going to need to change that. It’s really good, and carries its weight most of the way through the 2 hours. It tails off at the end a bit because it goes into a block of less hard-driving rock songs, but that’s about the only knock I have against it. I thoroughly enjoyed getting the chance to revisit this album.
Ella Fitzgerald was wonderful, but I just don't think I like Gershwin all that much. Not a whole album's worth, at any rate.
There was some stuff that was good on this album, other stuff not so much. I thought his voice was going to be a major turn off, but turned out it wasn't as bad as I was expecting. I don't expect I'll listen to it very much in the future, but it was at least an enjoyable listen.
wow
My music player was malfunctioning and I was generally annoyed that I had to listen to the first half of Child in Time three times. The guitar work was fine, but even then, any of the songs that were longer than 5 minutes I found myself looking at the time remaining bar seeing when the song would end.
The music itself was not bad, but I could only take so much of Wayne Coyne singing. And that amount was much shorter than an entire album.
Inoffensive. I liked listening to it, but it would never be an album I would reach for and say, "I want to listen to this."
